I just want to chime in hear and say good for you Bobbi. I don't even know what I did this week. I don't write anything down which I should do so I know what I did. I know I did one of my favorite is the KPC and I also went to the gym. Oh I also did do the Superset upper body blast follow by the Timesavor #1 step only.

I have been using the calendar right here at this website to record my workouts and I love it! I guess it's supposed to be more like a planner but I like it as a log! These checks in are motivation and fun too! This morning I posted this before I actually worked out so I knew I had to get it done and I am a new person on 8 hours sleep. The 3 I got the night before did not do it for me! Thanks for the encouragement yesterday, Barbara! You are so wonderful! :)

Hi Bobbi that's such a great idea to post then you have to workout with no going back. Bobbi I am so glad to give you that encouragement just like you gave me some great advice which I really needed;-) so we helped each other. I am glad to see you back because I did notice that you weren't hear for a while. Well now I have to learn and how to log my workout here. I never used it.

Hi Bobbi! Can I join in?

Since I was snowed in earlier in the week, I took advantage of the extra time at home (when I should have been working! Hehehehe!!)

1/6 - IMAX2 Intervals 1-5, ME Lower Body split + Abs
1/7 - IMAX2 Intervals 6-10, PUB Upper Body, BC Core Premix
1/8 - Step Works
1/9 - Legs & Glutes
1/10 - Step Jam

Hope you're all having a great day!

Of course, Jo! The more the merrier! I hope Sara finds us too. We had so much fun in December!

Barbara, it's a piece of cake once you get the hang of it and you can print the calendar when you are done if you fancy a hard copy, which of course I did!:)

I needed encouragement too, Barbara, and knowing I just need to stay on this, I slept better and felt renewed today! We are a team and this is why I love the forums so much. They make me realize that I am not alone and there is both comfort and healing in that, don't you think?

To use the calendar just go to the page where all folders are shown. It's in the same toolbar as the User Menu and the Search and Post options. Click on Calendar and it takes you to a page that has a pulldown menu to chose the time you worked out and a Subject line as well as a box for additional information. I put the name of the workout (Timesaver 3 Cardio/S&H Biceps/Tricep in the subject line and then I record the poundage and any other info I might want to add like how long I did cardio. It's really cool!

Hiya Bobbi;
I'm checkin -in with the Flab Busters but just wanted to chime in here too on how these checkins are really motivating.

I was only able the workout twice this week due to unforseeable forces.
Water damage in my 1st floor area ...my carpet has now been pulled up and awaiting for the insurance adjustor.

Told my oldest daughter that I'll be using her upstairs bedroom this week until the 1st floor area is dry and new carpeting installed.
She was ok with it but wasn't all that pleased that my weights and stuff will be going up there until my workout area is fixed. LOL

Did timesaver #'s 1 & 2 ...very good workouts!

Hi, ShyWolf, I am happy to see you! I love them too and you know you are always welcome to pop in just to say hello if you are already in a check in. Just like you did!

I might just have to have an unofficial rest day because of the state of my house! Plus i pulled somethingbetween my shoulder blade and I know it's not serious but I have back work on todays schedule and I don't want to make it worse. I did it sleeping too. I hate that! I intend to make the upcoming week tough and consistent!

Hey, great check-in name, Bobbi :) We thought you had abandoned us - it's great to see you back with us!!

Lori, I read about your Bowflex challenge. Good luck on it!!!! I am SOOOOO wanting an elliptical trainer and a treadmill right now. I want to run so badly, but school is in session, so the high school track is out, and the weather is horrendous. The cold isn't so much the issue, but the ice and snow is definitely the issue.

Hey, Jo!! Nice to see you here, too :)

Barbara, you joining us???

I'm writing off this entire week as an unscheduled recovery/vacation. I did nothing!! I started the week off motivated and ready to go. But my knee had been hurting for several days, and after my workout on Monday, it was killing me. After spending a lot of time worrying that it was serious, I realized that it felt bruised when I touched. Hmmmm.... yeah, I just bumped a week earlier. I felt so silly. And as I was getting out of my DBs nasty old truck tonight, I remembered exactly what I bumped it on :D

I also went to Boise for 2 days to take my grandma to her sister's place. Tons of junk food and some eating out. Then I came home and immediately went out to my DB's ranch to help him pack up the house. Even better - we packed up nearly nothing and watched about 12 movies.

SOOOOOO.... tomorrow, I start again with my rotation. I am ready, especially after sitting more in one week than anybody should sit all year. Unfortunately, only a couple more weeks before my sister and BIL move in. I can just hear and feel the fights now. My workouts versus their playstation -- I have no doubts that I won't win.

Well, good luck on your next week! I know I'll need it :)

Sara

Hi Sara,
Glad to see your back! I didn't do to well with my eating either.I went to a friends house on firday night and we had choc.fondue.I went to the cabin saturday night,I didn't eat alot but I had a few drinks. Then we played cards yesterday afternoon down there, and someone opened up a bag of chips! So,needless to say...if I keep that up,I will diffently gain the weight back that I lost.
I decided to use the bowflex last week.I think I could use a challenge for 6 weeks. Its always nice to see what our bodies are capable of,when given the right food and workouts.I think am going to workout on different days each week though,so that I can put one cathe workout in at the end of every week.It suggest that you not do any other workouts but who is this Dr so-and so?;) Sounds like he as been talking to my Dr.
I didn't workout yesterday.I thought that I needed a brask after last weeks workouts. But I am ready to hop right back in now.
I will still be checking in here.Even though I am using the bowflex,I will still be using cathe cardio and my treadmill.
Chat to you soon,
Lori:)

Just temporarily, Sara. :) From a physical standpoint, a break is good but I had to dig in my heels and make myslf do it. I should have posted the No Excuses workout. LOL! Maybe next week? You'll jump back in there. As much as I miss the physical aspects of working out, I think I miss those endorphins more. Rmemember, you can always make Playstation time a reward you get after you've worked out. I make bargains with myself all the time!

Lori, I have never tried a Bowflex but I have heard great things about them. And the guy on the commercial is delicious, LOL!

Don't worry about not having the perfect diet all the time. If it's clean most of the time, someone opening a bag of chips is no biggie. It's what you before and after the chips that counts. Too often we think, I blew it and it triggers a little binge but when we learn to say those were good chips, now where's my ..........( fill in the blank with any nutritious food you eat)it all balances out.

I took yesterday off. Sort of. I cleaned and did laundry. I felt like I'd pulled a muscle between my shoulder blades and it hurt to tilt my head to the right. It feels better today, thank goodness!
I have Timsaver 4 Cardio and Slow/Heavy Chest, Back and Planks on the menu for today. I love slow heavy training. It hurts so good! We have three weeks left in January. I want to make them great!
Have a beautiful day!

Bobbi "Chick's rule!" http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/chicken.gif

Edited for typos!

Yes,he does look very yummy.I am trying to get my hubby to get on it but its been a little hard.
I worked out today but I feel like it isn't enough.I feel like I should be doing more sets and I don't think I am going to be sore tomorrow.I have diffently been more challenged with cathe workouts.I am going to try and do more sets next time. That should be harder.
Lori

Hi guys! I need another New Year's Resolution: GET UP EARLIER!!!!! And watch more of those Bowflex commercials :9

I haven't been up earlier than 10:00 since I've stopped working, and most of the time it's noon. That's really bad.

Oh, and the playstation isn't my addiction, it's my sister's. My exercise room will turn into their bedroom/playroom/disaster. The living room will turn into their computer room/playroom/bedroom/disaster. Their bedroom will turn into their cat's room/bedroom/playroom/TV room/disaster. They even invaded my room as soon as I was gone for the day to use my computer as well. I would come home to find tons of games and music (and, of course, problems)downloaded and food and junk all over my desk and computer. Can you tell that my parents never told her no? :D There were horrendous fights just so that I could get them to get out of the exercise room for one hour of the entire day. You know when they would decide to get out? Midnight x( And then the next time, they would tell me no because I didn't work out when given the opportunity. Yes, well, these are very mature times in our life. She makes me feel like we are in grade school again. Ok, enough venting. Now I will work on solutions :)

So I just tossed myself out of bed, and I think I'm going to try to work out now and get myself started. My bed has this tremendously powerful gravitational pull, though, and I'm not sure I can fight it................

Bobbi, you sound so incredibly motivated and happy right now. Keep it up!! We all need you :) And I'm sure you are benefiting from it yourself.

I will talk to you all later :)

Sara

At this moment, I am wiped out. Oh, that Slow, Heavy weight training! And I did KPC cardio, the shortened version in TS4 and I know I'd be unconscious if I had done the entire workout! But I did some kick @$$ strength training last week even with rest days inserted quite often, I fried my muscles. By the end of my chest workout, I could not do another rep. That's muscle failure, baby! Only with exercise can you be so proud of failure.

Ah, Sara, your sister is the PS addict. Remember, boundaries! Don't let them push you out or make you adapt to them. They need to compromise so everyone is happy! And keep being as sunny and funny as you are! With such a great attitude, you'll survive the invasion.

Lori, it's hard, isn't it, determining how much weight you can handle. Knock 'em dead, girl. I have been going pound for pound with Cathe but I could not use 25's for my first set of bench press. But I got a good set with twenties. I did drop sets but I was spent at the end. OK, I thought I was gonna die! I am pleased. And tomorrow I am doing only cardio!

I'll chat to you later! http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/wave.gif

Bobbi "Chick's rule!" http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/chicken.gif

I think I picked a good weight for most of it.I don't feel like I got a good enough workout with one set though.I think next time I am going to do 2-3 sets.
I did a 30 min run after the Bowflex and 10min of abs. Then I went for a run after lunch.I didn't want to do it but my big mouth committed me to it.SO I did another 75min run.14kms.I am happy I did it though. It was really nice out..cold but nice. Now I will veg for the rest of the day.
Catch you later,
Lori

Lori, my muscles are so sore from going pound for pound with Cathe in slow heavy (except the 25 lb dumbbell chest presses) that, well, can you die from sore muscles? Not as bad as all that, but I am fried. I did Step Blast today. I finally said to myself, "Self, quit obsessing about being perfect or even very good at combo three and go for it!" I did just fine with combo three and the challenge and I love it. I may have to check into a spa for a few days so I don't die from these sore muscles. But I'll let you know what I do tomorrow after it's done. I ain't making promises at this point. Have a beautiful day.

I wonder if ShyWolf ahs gotten her workout room back?
Bobbi "Chick's rule!" http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/chicken.gif

Yeah, you have to be sore when you match cathes weight.
I think you meant did Sara get her room back,or maybe I missed something.Poor thing.I would be so mad if someone moved in here and took over.If her sister were a little more mature I don't think it would be a big deal.Whats 1-2 hrs out of a day?
I just finished my workout for the day.I did the Step part of S,J&P,a 40min run,1st circuit of S,J&P,and a 30 min upper body Bowflex workout.I will test my workout by how sore I am in the morning:) Thats the true test isn't it?
Chat to you later,
Lori:)
