Mornin', cheetahs! :)

Wendy—yes, my previous rotation ended Sunday, so it all falls into place quite neatly. Power to you, girl, to be losing during the holiday season. My DSis is big into Gevalia, too.

Judy—sounds like you have on your Monday game face. Rock on. Think I’ll stick with just one Monday per week, though, thank you. ;) :D *lol*

Wendi— Nice job with BC & LIC. Hope you had a decent day at work that wasn’t too wet or icy.

Laura—Have enjoyed hearing the info on your life in Uganda, too. You’re welcome for the links. I teach 8th grade language arts. Love it!

Jackie—hope it wasn’t too tough getting caught up.

ChristineRole Models was sophomoric but laugh-out-loud funny. I really like Paul Rudd, the lead. Such a cutie pie. I can imagine a nice n’ easy hike was a refreshing change of pace for you. IA, it is good to slow down and breathe sometimes. I love this time of year, too…Noted your new siggy. You can definitely count on a contribution from me, probably after the holidays, though. So glad you are back to feeling good.

Carole—that was very kind to give away the last of the items to some folks in need. It is a good feeling to do for others…^^^ 5’s on your awesome run! Love how training is just gelling for you…Glad Sadie is on the mend. Good thing you went in early. And what a great doc to come in especially for you…I can totally understand the frustration with your mom not being too appreciative right now. Maybe you could talk to her before you get to the exploding point?

Hi to everyone else! Have a great day!

Good Morning Cheetahs.

Today's work out will be GS Legs standing work plus B&G floor work. I will be skipping any calf work as mine are still killing me. I was incorrect about having to do B&G (in full) today and admittedly breathed a sigh of relief when I realized it. :p I wanted to get in a run this afternoon as well but if I can hardly walk (cause of my calves) I'm not so sure I'll be able to run!

Cathy: Love the thread title today. Thanks for the inspiration! :D Well, I'm ATTEMPTING to lose anyway. Haven't lost anything yet so we'll see how successful this venture is. ;) Making or have any fun plans for New Year's Eve this year? :)

Have a great day!

Hey Friends!

Cyber Monday went well! But later I was tagged by the insomnia bug. On a good note. yesterday I ran 9 miles with a 10 minute average pace and my feet felt great all day! I am taking ibuprofin in the morning and after my run and wearing wide toed shoes and my inserts. Ok sorry to ramble! I gave my self permission to get a pair of Ugg boots on line yesterday, as they have a great shape.

Christine- A decorated home is very cheerful and helps encourage the holiday the spirit. We are getting close. I think I'll recommend to the clan that Sunday the 7th be our tree purchase day.

Carole- Perhaps your Mom in her head believes she has thanked all of you? Or the stress of letting her house go has maybe made her forget how fortunate she is to have such wonderful caring daughters. I dunno really. But you and your 'Good Sis's' did a fabulous job with her! It is no surprise you are exhausted.

Wendy- One good day at a time right? I was good all day but probably ate not enough. At night I indulged in Girl scout cookies. Grrrrrrr! Calamari has to be cooked just right or it can be rubbery. But I am actually pretty good at preparing it in a spicy marinara when I can get it fresh.

Cathy- I forgot to mention your new avatar. Thumbs up !!!!

Dallas & Karen- You are in my continued thoughts and prayers

Wendi- Have you looked at the Rock Hill course???? It is VERY HILLY! I'm askeered. The hills around here are no more than .3 miles, albeit steep.

OK time to get moving. Today will be a Kettle Bell workout one of the AOS not sure yet. I have to return the 18# KB that I was borrowing. Then I'll only own an 15# . I may have to go to Dicks Sporting goods and see what they have IF I get a coupon.

Hi to Jackie, Shelly, Brighton, Posh and Laura!

Judy: Great run y'day! Glad to feet are cooperating as well. Ugg boots? NICE! I'm asking my inlaws for a pair of the Bear Claw knock offs for Christmas. :) Perhaps one day I'll have the guts to try calamari....

My work out is done. I used my weighted vest in lieu of the 5# dumbells for the slo-motion lunges. It was nice not having to worry about having the weights in my hands. It allowed me to concentrate on the pain more. :p

I'm posting while I eat my oatmeal and then I have to take a super quick shower and get us ready for work/school.

BB this afternoon ladies!:)

Hey!

I was so busy trying to get all my personals in yesterday that I forgot to post my workout. Yesterday I did the HIS/LIS double cardio premix. It was fun!!!

Today I ran 3 miles.

Good Morning All!

Wendy – Oh man, I hope you get to 100% soon! I like your idea of Christmas being the reward! Good job on eating yesterday!! I’m cheering for you today, too! I know you didn’t ask me, but our annual New Year’s party is on this year, which surprised me as the hostess has been really sick. But, as I adore her, I’m happy to hear she’s well enough for a party.

Cathy – I’m glad you enjoyed Role Models! Sometimes sophomoric is needed and fun. :p No hurry about Lance. And only if you can. I put the signature there, but the Cheetahs were so generous last year, that I simply cannot ask again this year.

Judy – I love my Uggs. What kind did you get? I think it’s very wise to be careful with your shoes if you are running or working out hard. Oooh, have fun with your tree!

Laura – good job on your workouts.

Today is my rest day. I’ll probably get in some yoga for stretching. Busy at work again, but I think it will be for a while. It certainly makes the time pass more quickly! I’m feeling the workout yesterday! :D Have a great day all!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...it was a great feeling helping a few people in the Garage sale. All 3 of us felt the same way without saying anything to each other..:)..Thanks re: my run. It is nice to get back in the groove once again. Sadie's Vet is really a nice guy. I remember the 1st time DH went to him and had to put a dog down. The Vet called me the next day, with this soothing voice and let me know we did the right thing. It is frustrating with Mom...:(...I am better off not talking to her til I can calm down, she needs to hear a few things.

Jackie...It always feels good to make someones day..:)...Hoping my Mom has some realizations too! Good workout yesterday, I am doing 4DS for a few weeks.

Wendy..Good luck on dropping the 4-4.5 lbs. What I notice with the increased water consumption is your body does adapt in a few days and the bathroom trips are not so frequent. It did feel great to help out those last few people in the Garage sale. Have fun with GS legs standing and B&G floor.

Judy...The insomnia bug has been going around! I am not sure what Mom thinks or feels. I have never had any issues myself with saying "Thank You", but things will work out. Enjoy your KB workout.

Christine...Thanks, there has always been some issues with Mom. It can be tough, just glad I have my sisters. I knew I would not sleep well if I did NOT take Sadie in. I am relieved to see her acting better...:)..Great mish mosh yesterday...IA PH is just plain FUN! Enjoy your rest day today.

I had a massage yesterday afternoon, and with all the stress and moving boxes etc, I really needed it!! I know she got out many kinks...:D

Today I am doing B&G standing and 40-60 mins on the EXT.

Have a great day...:)

Morning Ladies!

Sorry for the MIA-ness! The kids were off last week, and then I got into a funk after the two phone calls. Things are better here. :) I was still working out, but last week was shorter workouts. I tried adding more running in and the hip was not happy about that. :(

Anyway, y-day I did a bike/treadmill/EXT combo for about 50 minutes. I only ran one very slow mile in that combo, CM#2, and MM minus the abs. I also foam rolled and stretched. Today was LIC cardio and then added on the blast premix. That was about 50 minutes and then Tracey's new yoga DVD - post run premix. I liked it. :) Can't wait to try the rest of the premixes. Josef from her Strike Zone is in it too.

Carole ~ So, your mom is all moved? :) I bet that massage felt great. I probably should get that hipped worked on again. Enjoy B&G and the EXT.

Christine ~ I was wondering if your dh's family is OK after what happened in India last week? :( I'll have to go read what you did y-day to get DOMS. ;)

Hi Laura! :)

Wendy ~ Slow motion lunges would hurt no matter what I used...even a puny stick. LOL :p Have fun at work. :) Which rotation are you doing?

Judy ~ I also did some cyber Black Monday shopping. I couldn't resist the deals. I would have loved to finish up my adopted family online, but I'm afraid my stuff wouldn't be here in time. I would love to get a pair of Ugg boots myself. I too have only one 15# kettle bell. Something else to add to the wish list. I'd hate to order those online...the shipping!

Cathy ~ Love the new avatar!! What rotation are you following right now? December is always hard for me to follow something.

Hi to the rest of the Cheetahs! Sorry I can't go back to old threads. I'll just have to start fresh from here. Hope all is well with everyone. :)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Wendy - Yay for making a good start beating those pounds off. Kudos to you for sticking with that rotation. Now stay focused on that eating the same way. :p Race is Saturday morning with an 8:00 start time. I'm excited because it's the biggest race I've participated in so far and, I'll have my running partner with me. Looks like the weather will be nice.

Christine - Received your card yesterday and I really enjoyed the newsletter that was included. Now, how did you get Kimo and Jimmy to pose for such a great shot? Glad you're feeling normal again. Enjoy your rest day.

Cathy - My rotation ended Saturday too. I've yet to do a new one. I'll get around to it eventually after my race. I did get caught up yesterday and I have a fairly easy day today. Enjoy your workout today.

Judy - Sorry about the insomnia. Great job on the 9 miles yesterday! Glad the feet feel good too. Enjoy the Uggs!

Laura - Good job HIS/LIS double cardio and your 3 mile run!

Carole - Glad Sadie is ok and you have such a great vet. I'm so envious of your massage. Glad you enjoyed it. My boss had his first deep tissue and I forgot to ask him what he thought. When he gets back to the office, I'll have to remember to ask. He's running the full marathon on Saturday. Enjoy B&G and the EXT.

Dallas - Glad things are better. Great job with the workouts!

iTread #3 40 minutes and some stretching worked for me today.

Have a terrific day!

Hey Dallas, don't worry-- I'm right there with you on the MIA-ness! :)

Good afternoon Cheetahs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday-- I'll try to get caught up here sometime soon. We had a great time up at my parents' place-- and got some good workouts in as well. DH and I went for a very hilly 3 mile trail run Thanksgiving Day and then we spent more time over the weekend horseback riding... needless to say the ol' thighs are feelin' the burn! :D

Yesterday I hit the gym and did a 4.75 mile hill run on the treadmill-- the longest distance I've gone since the injury. I'm thrilled to say there still is no pain. Yay!!!!!! :)

Today I did the KPC/L&G Circuit premix... Yeah, did I mention the thighs, they are a-burnin'? But it's alright... I'm rewarding myself with a little homemade hot cocoa. So yummy. It's a Cooking Light recipe, and then I add a little bit of vanilla whey protein powder to it... Mmmmmmm. Helps keep me on the straight & narrow this time of year. ;)

Hope everyone is doing well-- I've missed you guys!!!!

Hi to everyone & I'll try to get back to personals soon! Please be patient with me... :)

Oh and Cathy-- loving the new avatar-- I have a piece of flair like that on my facebook page only it's for triathlon instead... ;)
