Good morning, cheetahs!
th_happy-038.gif

Wendi—yeowch on the shiner! For sure a wise move on the flexible specs…Oh, I embrace my inner nerd without shame. :D But the way that other comment came out, it made me sound like a big cheeseball, “always getting compliments.” *lol* Glad you got where I was comin’ from on that one. I adjusted my rotation to include two rest days, and I must say, it is working better for me right now.

Carole—my favorite is Frank Costanza. :D:D I think I have seasons one and two, and then I just stopped. Plenty of re-runs to enjoy.

Jackie—that’s excellent that your mom banged out all the Christmas shopping. Impressive! You Tube is blocked at my work, too.

Shelly—I prefer flexibility and relaxation-based yoga, but of the power yoga vids I have, I’d say you might like MTV Power Yoga and Power Yoga for Athletes. Hope you can get in some solid zzz’s tonight.

Brighton—Ohhhh on the name! I was thinking, wow, that *would* be a cool name if I had a daughter. It’s ski-related, it’s unique, and I love the connotation—bright as in intelligent *and* cheery. Love it. Still think I might use it if I ever have the opportunity someday. :) I hear you on the plans getting waylaid. I’m one of those people who believes that we do end up where we’re meant to be. Probably wouldn’t be many more courses to get your cert…Oh, and hey, I’m glad someone else appreciates some bad punnery. :p

Wendy—sorry your friend flaked out on the salsa once again. Think I’d be tellin' buddy to fly solo on that one. Nice job with TJ.

Posh— Thanks, I needed that ffftttt...sssss...BOOM! *LOL*—you da best! ;) :)

For last night's TM circuit, I used the u/b work from LIC. Tank was a little low, but I squeaked 'er out. Today will be a run + yoga.

Have a great one!

Good morning Cheetah babes!

Cathy - I truly loved your idea and started looking at belts in Kohls last night but couldn't find what I had in mind. You are so not a cheeseball...well, maybe sometimes, but that's what we love about ya:D!! Great job getting through your circuit yesterday! Hopefully your tank is back to full this morning?? BTW, I love the quote in your siggie...have been trying to adopt that as my mantra lately;).

So I go to Kohls last night and, of course, no food pros in stock but the display one had the wrong price on it...only marked down to $127.49 instead of the advertised $99.99. I came home and went to order online and it's the same price, $127.49. I actually called customer service cuz I've wanted a decent one for awhile now and didn't want to pass up this deal. They found the ad in the flyer that I was sent and actually honored the lower price, even though it was a misprint:D:cool:. So, in the end, it only cost me $86 (free shipping, 20% off coupon, and tax)...gotta love it:cool:! I guess it pays to be cheap sometimes lol.

Alrighty, gotta get going on BC/ME here...having a hard time getting moving this morning. BBIAB!

BC/ME is in the bag...love that workout:D!!! I will admit that, the time I got to the second set of leg presses my legs were about toast:eek: and getting through the squats after that was a challenge but that's what makes ya stronger, right? All the riding lately has just made my legs *tired* so I'm not worried about it.

Brighton's mention of tikka masala yesterday got me hungry so I threw it together this morning to marinate. Was lucky and already had all the ingredients I needed:D. Can't wait for dinner...yum!

TTFN! Hopefully I'll have a rain day today and get back home a little early. I *might* even throw in a nice little step workout if I have the energy...we'll see. Have a great day!

Good Morning Glories!

As suspected, BMF and I never went out last night. Actually, I told him it was gettin' too late when it was 6pm and he still hadn't gotten home to give me the verdict on his DW yet. I still would have had to get ready and I was ALREADY starving! I opted for a yummy salad and a grilled cheese sandwich with my boys at home instead. It's all good.:)

Wendi: Yup, same guy. He's just a pain in the u know what and I've come to expect and accept that about him. LOL I will still complain cause quite frankly, who wouldn't! We have actually made plans that he's come through on between last night and over the summer when we got in that big argument though so it's not like he does this every time. Oh well. He is what he is and I ain't gonna change him, right? I've just stopped putting alot of stock in what he says he's gonna do until he actually DOES it! :p
Wow, that FP score is AWESOME! The squeaky wheel gets the oil IMO! It never hurts to try. You got what you deserved as far as I am concerned. If they misprint a price and someone catches it then hey, they should honor it. Lucky you. Good luck finding a belt to jazz up that dress! :)

Cathy: I'm not even sweatin' the salsa classes at this point. Heck, we aren't even gonna try to take 'em in December so I'll worry about that NEXT year. :) TJ was fun y'day. I'm glad I picked it. Hadn't done one in ages. Nice change of pace. Good job on your circuit work out last night. Glad you were able to push through. I hope you find yourself with more energy today! I blew off my planned early morning work out this morning. I woke up at some point during the night with a back ache. Not a good thing to combine with B&G! I can always do B&G later if it stops hurting.

So no early morning work out for me today girls. As I was just telling Cathy, I woke up in the middle of the night with a back ache. I have no idea where it came from. I don't recall doing anything to strain it. It hurts just about right under my shoulder blades all the way across in a straight line. If I try to stretch it tightens up and I'm afraid I'm going to cramp! YIKES!

Alrighty, gotta go....I'm off today but I still gotta get DS to school and I haven't done a thing to get him ready yet!

BBL!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I like Frank too, but it seems like Kramer always has this way of cracking me up!! Good job getting in the circuit last night. Enjoy yoga and a run today.

Wendy..I like "Raymond" too. I watched Friends for a few years, but Seinfeld seems to be my favorite. Sorry about the back pain, hope it subsides later.

Wendi..WOW...glad all you got from that horse was a shiner! I think the sad thing is back in 87 they didn't do any kind of rehab after surgery and I think the rehab could have helped DH a lot. If I really push, I can get him to use the EXT, but I am mostly worn out from trying that all the time. Way to go on getting that great price on the Food processor!! Sometime you gotta fight for it. Sending rain vibes your way...:)

Jackie...Yes, Mom was feeding my sis's dogs whenever she ate! So my sis put out a bowl of carrots for Mom to feed them instead of her own food! But yes, they do enjoy the extra company. Good workout yesterday, Hope the hams and glutes simmer down soon.

Shelly...sorry about missing on your sleep. Hope you are back on track soon. Mom's house had been on the market for a couple of years without much success. It is the pitts the market is so crappy. I really wanted to see you in Napa...:(...Funny story about Rio, They do get smart at the vet's when they know what is coming!! Glad you and DH are enjoying Seinfeld...

Brighton...you have been busy in the kitchen. Glad to hear the foot is not excruciatingly painful. Seems like most of us like Seinfeld. Thanks for your thoughts on DH, I have been trying for years, it sadly seems a lost cause. Very sad about your sisters many surgeries. I see a Chiropractor twice a week (he is also my nephew) and I have for about 10 years, as I look at it as a preventative measure.

Legs still have some B&G DOMS so I will put off a leg workout for tomorrow. I will do some sho, bi & tri endurance work, abs (I missed yesterday) and an easy 5-6 mile run.

Have a great day...:)

Carole: Good morning! Enjoy your work out. I hope I can do B&G today. I want booty DOMS tmrw morning! :D I'll bet your run works out that remaining DOMS for you today. BTW, you and Cathy went back and forth about a show called "Dexter" for a while. I've never heard of it! What is it??

T-minus 1 and counting...

Top o’ the mornin’ Cheeeeeetahs!

Whew, been some busy times at work with priority registration in full swing. Throw in some computer program glitches, short staffed office, and a few other huts on fire and the hankerin’ for Friday comes a couple of days early. LOL Ain’t no thing though, cuz just when it seems my co-workers can’t take anymore, me and the selves get singing/whistlin' on a few Frank tunes and give the ol’ stuffed horse a squeeze. Yep, we have a stuffed horse in the office that goes, “eeeehhhheeeeee eeeehhhheeeehhheee” when squeezed in the right spot, so most often we can turn some frowns upside-down with that lil’ pony ….and a few Frank songs, of course. LOL -

Cathy – Yo slice, lol…WOW, you’re really jammin’ with that yoga! You’re inspiring me to get some practice worked back into my schedule. Um, I’m thinking pigeon is da bomb – sort of feel like Gumby when me done with that one! Love that dork guy!! Glad that TM interval was a real sweatfest – mine sure was yesterday. Hey, been messin’ with my Garmin and me thinks I’m gonna try out the “Training Partner” features for some speedwork and tempo runs outside. Don’t we have the same Garmin? Can’t remember…I have the Forerunner 305 model. Costansza is a beast! LOL… Oh, by the way: shhwwwffffiiiiituh….ssssfffffssfffffssssff……KABOOM!

Wendy – Good point re: the itreads and TM for your marathon training. I was just getting a bit excited for your TNT training a lil’ too early I guess..lol.:) Just wondered if you had thought about when you’d run with your schedule. Sorry your male friend canceled on ya again. Is there a specific reason he chose Salsa dancing anyway?

Wendi – Oh gosh, sorry, I thought I had replied to your horsey post. Yeah, the vet consulted with some neuro dudes down at UCD etc. but its looking a lot like Smokey did have a type of virus, but does continue to improve. Not 100% but mucho better than he was and he’s not currently on any meds. Vet did mention that horses can still get West Nile even if they’ve been vaccinated religiously as Smokey has been. Anyway, vet comes out 1st week of December for vaccines and she’ll give him another check over then. Thanks for the info though! Sorry about your shiner, there. Nice score on the FP!

Carol – Chyeah, I saw MT yesterday and she really worked over the muscle I messed up in my lower right section of my back. Oh, and she said she bought her “travel” massage table and is ready to go for Chicago! lol. Hey, Kramer is a friggin’ hilarious too! Yeah, we all dorks, huh? I mentioned to Cathy I was messin’ w/ the training features on my Garmin (about time I do since I’ve owned it a couple of years now…oops?) and heck, there’s some great programs to input numbers for a nice interval or tempo run. Um, my bad because I didn’t record the info anywhere, but can you tell me again what settings you’re using on your interval runs again? I swear I won’t ask again….today anyway  LOL. Funny about the bowl of carrots, but ahhh no, my dogs would stare blankly at anyone that tried to feed them uh, vegetables…lol.

Jackie – That’s funny about finding the spot and running to it. My friend that got me into running back in the day used to tell me to do that especially on those killer hills! Sounds like he’s a great RP and before you know it, he’ll be telling you to slow down! LOL Oh, and I really liked the stainless steel Klean Kanteens. I still have to get a sport top for the smaller one, but me likey them. You should get some…c’mon, ga head, you NEED them, and what a savings, very healthy for the body and environment…. (ah, glad to see my enabling capabilities are still intact) :p

Shelly- Oh cool, so you’re really ready to go and workin’ the taper. You’re going to do great I’m sure – you’ll be sailing through that finish line! Yes, we'll be with ya in spirit - that's a guarantee! Funny about you having to work at holding back on exercise! LOL If only that would happen to me sometimes!

Brighton – Hey, you better quit posting about all your culinary talents or we’re just gonna have to call you “Iron Chef Cheetah” Yes, I live about 50 miles from Sacramento (in Colfax on the way to Lake Tahoe/Truckee) but I do drive down to Rocklin to work everyday. Rocklin is nice and a great place to go for runs! Checked out a bit of your blog—Sweeet! Your kids are adorable and looks like ya’ll have a great time together. Love the playlist as well! I have a lot of those artists too.. Diane Krall, Madeleine Peroux, Ella Fitzgerald, Norah J, Dave Matthews, but sorry I must say, you need WAY more Frank on there! ;) LOL

Ok, folks…time to hit it here and get out for my run down in Rocklin. All my bags are packed….ready to go….LOL

Have a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Day!

POSH :D

Good morning Cheetahdees! :D

Shelly - Sorry your sleep routine is all screwed up. It's hard enough working on 8 hours of sleep. I can only imagine 4. Did you resist the urge to work out? I do feel like my legs are stronger. Just hope they can get me through 13.1 miles.

Brighton - Great idea to cook and freeze ahead of time. I use my Foodsaver a lot. Hope you'll get a workout in today.

Wendy - Doesn't sound like your BMF is too enthused about the Salsa classes. Hope you eventually get to take those classes. Sounds like a should have had a V8 moment - plop on the head. :p Hope Chalene doesn't disappoint with the weight workouts too. That is, if she ever gets them out. Don't blame you for not wanting to go out too late. Hope the back is ok.

Wendi - Glad show went well. I'm not a cold weather girl. It's fine as long as I don't have to get out in it. Tell the horsey no changing mind in mid jump. Glad you only got a shiner from it. Got my fingers crossed for rain and a good bowling night for you. Ok, I crossed my toes too. :D Great deal on the food pro! Pays to be persistent sometimes. You should see me clipping coupons and getting the best deals out of them.

Cathy - I'm loving the titles you ladies are coming up with especially so early in the morning. Good job on getting through your circuit last night. Enjoy your run and yoga. Are you still running at school?

Carole - Are you saying the dogs eat carrots? They like to be healthy too, huh? Hope the legs are ready for their workout tomorrow. Enjoy your endurance workout and run.

Posh - Love the singing and squeezing in the office. Bet that is enough to put anybody in a good mood. :D Ok, I'll check out the stainless steel bottles you enabler you. Where did you get yours? I usually wear my fuel belt with a bottle of water. Saturday RP said we would just hide the bottles and get a sip when we passed the spot again. Didn't mind at all not having the thing bouncing around.

I did 45 minutes of iTread #7 60 minutes and 15 minutes of stretching. Had to go for an easier run today because I still have DOMS in the legs and glutes.

Have a great day!

Posh: LOL about your office mascot. I am excited about training with TNT too but I'll just have to wait a wee bit longer to find out what's going on there I guess. No idea why he chose Salsa. I don't know what else the place even offers. He called me up out of the blue one day and asked if I wanted to take the lessons with him. I have no idea what motivated it...?? I'm sure it'll be fun though if we ever actually make it to a class! LOL

Jackie: I know it seems like he doesn't want to take them. I asked him today if he just wanted to forget it and he insists he wants to take them still. Whatever. If I try to figure him out I'll go batty. I'll just roll with it and perhaps I'll learn how to dance in the mean time! :p Ooooh another one with boo-tay DOMS! I'm so jealous! I can't wait to be able to hit B&G!!!!;)

Off for a nap now...my back still hurts and I feel like crap.

BBL.

Oh well. My attempt at a nap didn't work out too well but I'll have another shot after I pick DS up most likely. I'd still rather feel better and be able to do B&G though.

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing well!

Shelly – I am a fellow Raynaud’s Syndrome sufferer, too! Definitely no fun!! I sure hope you start getting some better rest! Are you getting excited for your marathon? How is the taper going?

Cathy – I would really love to be able to do those circuit workouts like you have created with Cathe’s workouts….but my TM and EXT are downstairs and all of my weights and equipment are upstairs! I do have my spin bike upstairs with the weights, though. Your workouts sound so good!

Wendi – Ouch! I am sorry about the shiner! That has to have hurt! You are really lucky that you weren’t hurt any worse! The food processor deal sounds great!

Wendy – Hope your back feels better soon! Don’t blame you for staying in with your guys last night!

Carole – Enjoy your endurance work, abs and run! I can’t wait til I can do B&Gs again! I will try to do it next week! :)

Posh – LOL on your stuffed horses! That would surely get a smile out of customers! Maybe that is what I should put here in my office! :)

Jackie – Good job on your run and stretch! I like lower body DOMS….but not when I have to run!! ;)

Brighton – Hope the foot is doing good today!!

The power did come back on that evening. I did a 5 mile run and Firm Wave – the one with Allie (a total body one). Last night was a 5 mile run. The Wave workout was okay….especially for trying to “recover” from the marathon…..but it felt awkward to me. I am sure if I did a few more times, I would have better core control. But man….I miss my usually workouts and long runs!! I think next week, I will get back to the usual Cathe’s ;)

I have a hair appt. after work today, so I won't be doing a workout tonight. When the power went off on Tuesday, my workout schedule got turned around and I had to do it at night this week.

Hey to everyone!

Linda

Afternoon, ladies! :D

I got the green light for low impact today, so the kiddos & I hit the gym! I did 3.31 miles on the elliptical crosstrainer (35 min), and got 600 yds. in the pool (just pull, no kick). Felt like I could've done a lot more, but didn't want to overdo. :D YAY!!!!!! :D I didn't have ANY foot pain while working out, only when walking around the locker room in my flip flops. I'm out of the ever-so-lovely post-op shoe & am now living in my Merrell hiking shoes... most comfortable shoes EVER. :) Anyway, I'm hoping this is a sign of good things to come!!! *crossing fingers*

Wendy/Jackie: Totally agreed on TJ. I think you get what you put into it. I jump around like a crazy person & feel totally wiped by the end. :)

Cathy: You just keep embracing that inner nerd!!! :D Glad to see I'm not the only one! ;) And ITA on the name Brighton... I really like it too. I do actually know a couple Brightons... and an Alta as well. :) Outdoorsy names are really popular here-- Canyon, Aspen... just to name a couple more.

Wendi: WTG with the food processor! Ahh, nice to find another fellow bargain hunter. :) And yay for tikka masala! Soooooooo yummy.

Wendy: So sorry about your backache... (((HUGS))) Hope you get feeling better-- that's no fun. :(

Posh: ITA about Frank! LOL! :) Gotta respect the classics, man. DH & I spent a long weekend in Park City last year for our anniversary and saw Tony Bennett in concert at Deer Valley. Best. Concert. Ever. :) LOL about "Iron Chef Cheetah!" Tonight we are having leftover goat cheese pizza, so no kitchen exploits today. How do you like your Forerunner? I've been reeealllllllllly wanting to get one for awhile now. Oh and thanks re:blog. :)

Jackie: Oooooh, I've been wanting a Foodsaver! How do you like yours? My mom has one and she swears by it.

Linda: So happy to hear the power is back on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello to everyone else in the den!!! Hope everyone is having a happy day! :)

~Brighton~

Hello Cheetahs! :)

Posh: Your kind words are so sweet. Thanks. It does not surprise me you keep everyone's spirits up at work! Great workouts!

Cathy: The new DA abbreviation was definately my feeling on Tuesday night! :D We are working on Exam View, the clicker testing system (CPS), and the HP grant. Maybe that is why I am so overwhelmed. Everything is new except for the curriculum. Sounds like a fun circuit the other day! How was the run and yoga? Loved the thread title today too!

Wendy: How is your back feeling? A salad and grilled cheese is an ideal meal for me! What a bummer you still haven't been able to get your groove on with the salsa dancing!

Wendi: You are getting in some good workouts! That is a great deal on the food processor! I would have done the same thing with customer service. As long as you are respectful, customer service people usually respond well. :)

Christine: Where are you? You are more consistent at posting than I am and was just wondering. :)

Carole: That is great mom is doing well. I do not think my dogs would eat veggies. :) Kramer is my favorite too. ;)

Jackie: An early meeting on a typically casual day is absurd IMO. :) I made it through. :) You have inspired me to get in the stretching and yoga. It feels great!

Shelly: I will let you know how the gloves fare. They were calling me and felt so good on my hands. I am a very selective shopper, so I think these will be goodies. I bet you are beat! I wish that I had your tenacity for working out. If it is a rest day, I rest and don't think twice about it! Have you had anyone look at the house in AZ? How far is your home from Scottsdale/Phoenix? I was mesmerized when I went there for the first time. The scenery is so different from what I am used to. DH and I were there for Christmas one year and it was so wierd not to see snow. Saguaro cactus with santa hats and sunglasses is an unusual sight for this northern gal!

Brighton: IA that I really like your name. :) I had no problem with the brown of the west in the summer. DH grew up on Lake Huron and has a hard time leaving the "big water." He is a fly fisherman and the huge trout in MT do not really allure him. He would rather fish the technical water here out east. How is your foot feeling? It sounds like you are a killer cook! I am a Food Network fan.

Linda: So glad you got the power back that night! What a pain! You sound like you are so ready for Cathe again! I am getting nervous for the marathon in May. We keep checking the website to sign up, but registration isn't until late Nov. I am a detail person! GIVE me the date! LOL! :) You and Cath are giving me confidence that I will still be alive and able to move after the first marathon!

I have been kickin' it the last two days. I did Finn yoga and ran 5 yesterday and yoga and a 4 mile run today. Not sure for tomorrow. I feel like jumping around so it might be DM or something like that.

Have a great night everyone!
