    Fraxel laser treatment

Carolyn--LMAO! Obviously there are no closeups in my picture trail. :+ He said 5 visits for the best results and yes, it does hurt during the procedure. I'll have a local anesthetic. Then for about an hour after he said it would feel "hot." Delphine--he said no sun exposure EVER. I...

    Crap--I can't change my username!

Hmmm I tried that but I couldn't figure out how. I'll try again but I might have to go w/Melissa's suggestion (which of course never even occurred to me).

    Train Like A Woman

    Graves' Disease (hyperthyroidism) ??

Well, yes and no. My sister started off w/the synthroid & she eventually had the radiation, she claims neither worked. But she's hyper--I'm hypo & I've been on synthroid for about 15 years. The end results of the symptoms are the same. Reason being someone w/hypo has a slow metabolism so...

    Fraxel laser treatment

I had a consultation today w/a cosmetic surgeon to have this done. It's a noninvasive laser procedure that reduces or eliminates wrinkles, skin discoloration and.......you guys are gonna love this....stretch marks! Anyway I'm trying to get rid of the smoker's lines around my mouth (I quit 2...

    Graves' Disease (hyperthyroidism) ??

I have hypo, my sister has hyper. Oddly enough the symptons (fatigue, weight gain, swollen thyroid gland, etc) and the treatment (synthroid) are the same. I'm a bit skeptical of both myself. I did lose 20 lbs when I went on the meds, but it was about the same time I'd started working out...

    Easier Choreography

Maximum Intensity Cardio is a really good one--it has both floor & step aerobics, & the step section is very basic but intense.

So I'm thinking about changing my screen name

Missy--my pug is named after Maximus from the Gladiator. We got him 3 weeks after the movie came out. :) OK, I wish I could change my name w/o losing my number of posts--but then again, starting fresh never hurt anyone! :+

So I'm thinking about changing my screen name

Especially after the road trip. I really want you guys to think of me by my real name instead of by my dog's name. :P Actually my favorite screen name is "Too Sense." Is that like the coolest screen name you've ever heard? But, I'm thinking of just going with LauraMax to avoid future...

    Long hair over 40?

I'm 37 & am in the process of growing my hair long (right now it's maybe 4-5 inches past my shoulders, but I want it halfway down my back). I don't give a crap if people say it makes me look older (which I don't think it does), or if it's unprofessional (so I wear it back to mtgs & such), or if...

    MTV Fitness - Pilates Mix

The MTV Mix is probably the best pilates workout I've ever done. And believe me, I have a ton. Other than Core Max this is the only home core workout I've done that actually leaves me sore. I highly recommend it. :)

Benefit of Double Qtr. Pounder w/Cheese

Oh man my mouth is watering just reading the title of this thread.....I haven't had fast food for more than 3 years. There's a Wendy's right next to my gym (how cruel is that) & it takes every ounce of willpower I have not to stop for fries after a workout......:9

    dumbell vs barbell

Actually working out with dumbells is probably better since most people are stronger on one side than the other. Using dumbells helps even out the strength. The difference in strength on each side is probably what effects your form also.

    Roadtrippers--remember Mount Laurel?

My dad lives in Mount Laurel. I don't know if it would be a blessing or a curse. :o

    Roadtrippers--remember Mount Laurel?

They have a job opening I just applied for (deputy town manager). I think I'm a really strong candidate for it & I'm really torn--I absolutely love where I live now, & I have family & friends here. But I also have family & friends there, plus it's where I grew up. What to do, what to do...

    More true confessions...

*it really pi$$es me off that Shelley likes plie jacks *I've been eating like a pig for the last 2 months & have lost 4 lbs (thought this one would REALLY annoy you guys LOL) *if I could get away with it, I'd make Shelley wear an elf costume every day from now until Jan. 1 ETA: Christine...

    contractors break stained glass lampshade

I definitely would've done the same thing. Just a note of caution--I work with contractors quite a bit in my job & I've learned the hard way that you MUST REMOVE ALL THINGS OF VALUE from within a 30 mile radius of where their work will occur. OK maybe not a 30 mile radius, but just keep...

    Favorite Workouts

Power Max--my 1st Cathe workout & still my favorite Low Max--for days when the knees feel older than the rest of me #3 is a tie between Step Blast & Rhythmic Step--I love the choreography of both, they're so much fun--but if forced to choose I'd go w/RS, SB just gets a little too...
