    Did you.....

Does running up and down stairs taking care of two sick kids count as leg work? If so, I did legs.

Is there a exercise you just don't do?

If you are talking about any workout, I skip air jacks. My body just stops and says...are you serious? Plus I am on the second floor (is that a good enough excuse?).

who quit coffee for green tea?

I tried to give up coffee... It was a no go. I cannot drink coffee all day, but that first cup in the morning - nirvana in a cup (especially if it is cold outside).

    For those who celebrate Christmas...

This year I am hoping for around 6am. Last year was way tooooo early at 4am. I have a new favorite this year - Peppermint winter by Owl City and a real old favorite from when I was a kid - Little Toy Trains.

DH said he doesn't want man arms on me grrrr

LV77, I agree with the other ladies here that say your husband may feel threatened by your success. It is almost like when someone looses a lot of weight and the spouse has a hard time handling the "new" person they find themselves with. That in itself is lost on me, you should be happy for...

Fellow Cathletes - New Workout Details Please!!!!!!!!!

Keep the posts coming. I love to read about the level or soreness I will have when I get mine. I am thinking I won't get mine for a while yet (2-3 more weeks). I don't know whether to be scared or anxious...anxiously scared??? It is great to see that the DVDs were worth the wait...while I am...

    Canada

I don't know if you had to go the USPS way or the UPS way, but the USPS system is very slow and speed is determined by what type of shipping is picked. I just found out lately that some USPS services to "overseas" (is Canada considered overseas?) places can be put on space available. Crazy, I...

    Pardon My Absence

We are stationed in Germany, but we were closely watching the events unfolding. Our son is in SC going to college and we got anxious when we saw that the east coast was the target. He said they felt the earthquake a little in Columbia , but got no rain from the hurricane. We are glad that so...

10-7 = 3 Right? Not according to "New Math"

I may be a little late on the conversation, but this hit home. Before I moved on academically, I taught school - math and science. Around the same time, my son was having a hard time with math. I am by no means a math genius, but it has always come easy to me. The same could be said of my...

    Krampus!

I am in Germany right now and have heard of them. Aren't they suppose to travel with or at the same time as St. Nick to frighten the bad children? At least, that's what I heard. They would definitely scare me straight if I saw them when I was a kid...not saying that I was bad :)

How long did you play w/ Barbies?

My brother and I use to faceoff GI Joe and Barbie until I was around 10. My girls haven't gotten into Barbie even though they have all my old stuff. They mostly get into legos or magnetix. If your daughter feel self conscious but still want to play with them, tell her to go ahead - play don't...

What are your favorite Christmas movies??

I like the Bishop's Wife with Carey Grant. Goofy and sappy, but I love it!

Gonna go Dr. Phil on my son!

I remember those days with my son and I do not miss them. He is older now and has told me that he himself could not understand or explain what was happening then. Though I am guessing that your son is younger, maybe 8 (?), kids seem to be having older feelings earlier. Peer pressure to have...

    Favorite Christmas traditions?

We just started this little tradition when my youngest was 3 and could handle a pair of scissors. We make snowflakes out of paper and have a contest of the most "interesting". We also follow Santa on the internet to see where he is. Then on Christmas eve, each of us pick a small present to...

    Happy Belated Birthday from Germany

I just got my computer working from my long trip to Germany. I am stationed here now and am still trying to catch on the sleep I lost. My girls haven't caught up yet either. I wasn't able to say Happy Birthday to you, Cathe, because of traveling. I read somewhere on here that yours is the...

I did not get the email with the 12 uploads. I recieved a new pop up window and when the download timed out, the window disappeared. I am leaving to go overseas (military) and am now using an aircard (the download eats up the aircard). Two requests: one: please send me an email with the 12...

    Hi Everyone!

I came to the forum to search for info on something - lots of good info here usually - the word that comes to mind, Kathryn, is harsh. Was that really necessary? Reese

    The Serial Bully

Jonezie and Jess, I hope you don't mind a few lines from an outsider. Jess - Is just trying to get along with him as best as you can the way you want to live your life? Not to mention the lives of your sons? Love, as Life, should be done to the hilt and enjoyed to the max! The one that...

A complete Low Impact series please please please

How about a functional fitness dvd that focuses on the areas hardest hit by high impact/high intensity cardio. I am going through some intensive physical therapy for my shoulder (gymnastics and track injuries over time) and my husband went through the same for his back and knees (football)...

I-Carly - Question for those with kids

I am not a fan of the afternoon Disney. It is geared towards the tweens and mine are not in that age group. I could explain to them about situations on the shows until my face turns blue and they would keep saying whatever because they saw it on TV. The laugh tracks are put in to most of the...
