    Pic of the Day, 6-20-01

    4" Step Too Low?

Whatever is comfortable for you... Especially since you're short, I'd say stay at 4" or 6". I'm 5'3" and I never go higher than 6" for Cathe workouts. I have tried some slower paced workouts (Crunch, etc.) on an 8" step, but I'm constantly tripping and feeling like I'm going to injure myself...

    Could I be? Am I?

A little late, but... I'm a little late catching up with this thread, since I'm not a mom or mom-to-be at this time and don't check the pregnancy forum too often, but... CONGRATULATIONS!!! :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy http://lynnio.homestead.com/files/artwork/newfoolsm.gif

    What Are "Step Ups"?

You got it! Annette, you guessed right! Step ups are done using either a barbell or dumbbells, stepping up onto (usually) a taller step (12-17 inches depending upon your height and fitness level). Cathe already has step ups in the Pure Strength legs video, and I think they might also be in CTX...

    Health/Fitness Websites

Hi Lori! I just found another one yesterday. I haven't had a chance to look through the whole thing yet, but there are sections on health, fitness, wellness, and diet. It includes video demos of exercises as well. http://www.fitnessheaven.com http://lynnio.homestead.com/files/artwork/newfoolsm.gif

What is Your Favorite CTX tape?

Step & Intervals, without a doubt! The music, the choreography... it all just comes together so well. All Step is a close second. 10-10-10 is my least favorite, mostly because I'm not crazy about hi/lo (although I don't mind the hi/lo in Power Circuit that much, go figure!)...

    Slow rewind

Record speed... It could have something to do with the speed the tape was recorded at. If you're comparing your Cathe tapes to the amount of time it takes to rewind a tape recorded at EP/SLP speed, that's probably the reason. Cathe's tapes are recorded at either LP or SP speed, I think (or...

    Hi Everyone!!

Another southeastern Pennsylvanian! Not Philly, but I'm near Reading, PA which is about an hour northwest. And I noticed in an earlier post in this thread, I'm not the only Lynne with an "e" on the end! :-) http://lynnio.homestead.com/files/artwork/newfoolsm.gif

How Did Cathe Get Her Legs Soooo Beautiful in Later Tapes?

Running, too. I remember reading a post by Cathe way back where she said that running helped her lean out her legs a bit more. But I agree with what was said before, genetics has a lot to do with it. http://lynnio.homestead.com/files/artwork/newfoolsm.gif

    Best place to get step?

Some others have found them at used sporting goods stores and at yard sales... I got one at Sports Authority for around $75. fwonline.com also sells them for around that same price, but there are also shipping charges. Sometimes they show up on eBay, but they're not usually much of a bargain...
