Did I really just see this?

Yes, because my dog decided it was time to go right before we went in to get her groomed there....and I was thankful that it was there so I could clean it up.

Do you lift heavier weights after STS

I have been doing PP and SS and on PP I am lifting quite a bit more, but not on SS. Makes sense since this is endurance work, not strength work.

    T-Storms in Midwest.

We got slammed Thursday morning, but luckily my town just got some winds and 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes. Just a bit south was worse. I am so tired of these torrential downpours. They always say when we get them that they are unusual, but lately, they are more usual than unusual. Luckily...

meso 3: what do you do during rest periods?

I was really lifting heavy, so I did not find the time to long. I stretched out really good, especially on the legs videos. I did both type of legs, plyos one day, the heavy legs a different day(I did legs twice in a week the whole three months and really liked it). By the time I changed out...

    Has STS ruined you?

Adam, MEso 2 is the best. You will like it a lot. Cynthia, I would give some space to CLX and then do it again later in the year. You may find that you like it better than. That is what I am planning on doing.

    Has STS ruined you?

I finished STS early last week. I did Push/Pull Sunday, ramped up the weight because I could, and thoroughly enjoyed the work-out. I am actually looking forward to some full body work, adding more cardio, and integrating more yoga than I did doing STS. I will do this over the summer, and then...

    chalean xtreme

I think the problem is, we should not compare STS and CLX because they really are two different programs. I think I will use CLX again, and it will be good for me. I tried it too soon after having already aggravated my sciatic issues with running and a car accident. STS has made me really...

    chalean xtreme

I have both. CLX is OK, but some of the moves really aggravated my sciatic nerve, so after 7 weeks of doing it, I switched and did STS all the way through. STS is far better IMO. CLX is fun and a good time-saver, but you cannot go near as heavy. If that is OK, get it.

    a question for the gardners

Bunnies here love, love, love marigolds when you first plant them. I get the deer and rabbit spray for when the plants are little. Once they grow, they leave them alone.

    Latisse--not a good thing

I am so out of it. I had no idea what Latisse is and what it is used for. I guess there is good in not worrying about make-up and whether my eye-lashes are long enough!

lift heavy for legs to shrink?

Well I can squat 100 pounds and not be at failure at 6-8 reps, so my problem is I guess at home I cannot truly go heavy. Still, light weights, many reps just does not do it for me. Biking and running really lean my legs out.

    Has STS ruined you?

If all you can afford is STS and nothing else, get STS because there is nothing like it on the market, and that includes CLX. However, after finishing STS(which I did today), I am longing to do some full body work-outs instead of splits, so will be using some of those for a couple of months...

lift heavy for legs to shrink?

Losing fat is more about the diet than the exercise, IMO. Whether heavy lifting will help is really dependent on you and how your body reacts. My body reacts well to a combination of heavy lifting, cycling and running, but ONLY if the diet is also good. When I hear, not perfect, but good for...

    STS Users: Is STS repetitive?

I felt MESO 3 was a little repetitive, but that is the nature of building strength. There is a point to it. 1 &2 were not repetitive at all, and 2 is fabulous. I did 7 weeks of CLX, and it no way, no how compares to STS. STS far outshines it.

    Building vs Toning Muscle

All my life I have not been the petite little woman. So I started lifting 25+ years ago so if I had to be big, at least I did not jiggle! I think I benefit a lot from that now, because the weight is sure easier to keep down as I get close to 50, and I fit in a smaller size than most people...

    Ants!!!!

Every year! We use the Terro traps, but I also find that spraying the perimeters in the spring every few weeks, especially after a lot of rain helps as a preventative measure. They are annoying, but don't hurt anything.

I'm thinking of Chalean Extreme - opinions?

Me too. I stopped after the third week of Push. Switched to STS and the pain stopped, so it was CLX. I am on the 4th week of Meso3 and am fine. I may try CLX again, but will have to look at what can be modified. Plus I felt the short time was too little for me.
