Do you ever have days where you.........

Your not the only one, I've spent the last two weeks like that. I think every once in a while I just get tired of keeping track of everything, just plain tired. I've also been pretty stressed out lately, my sister has a physical problem going on so I'm concerned about her.

    Men SUCK!

You know Laura I applaud you because there are women out there who would've fallen for that line, and talked themselves into believing that the guy was worth the effort. Thank you for keeping your integrity, your worth more than that. Let him keep his big house, his big ego and his rather...

Denzel Washington is a beautiful man, inside and out.....

I think he's just a human being who believes that it was important to contribute something in this way and obviously he had the means to do so, still it was very kind of him to do so. Sometimes when people do generous acts they really do this because it's just something they want to do and are...

    this Mel Gibson thing?

I just wanted to say that I have heard drunks say some pretty terrible things, and about people in their own families. What he did was wrong, I just hope that he can conquer these demons and become a better person. Society would benefit from that as a whole. If he weren't Mel Gibson I don't...

Cathe, why 2 or three sets for a weight exercise?

Hi Cathe I just wanted your opinion, I've read where you get most of the benefit from a weightlifting exercise in the first set, atleast 80%, so why do many instructors have you do 2 or 3 sets even after you have had a warm-up? I'm curious to know what we're gaining?

Why 2 and sometimes 3 sets for an exercise?

I'm glad you wrote in and said that, you see this is kind of interesting. I mean I like to work out, however I do want to work out in the most efficient way possible, the most bang for the buck! Thanks for your response!

Why 2 and sometimes 3 sets for an exercise?

I was doing one of my exercise programs a little differently this month, because I'm short on time I'm only doing one set of the repetitions. The instructor stated that you get 80% of the benefit in the first set. So here's the question, why do some instructors have you do up to three sets...

    Calipers /Scales -Something's Off

I believe I'm taking my measurements in the correct place, I'm following the diagram. The difference between my bodyfat scale and my calipers is 10 percentage points. Anyone else have this problem, I'm trying to figure out if I'm doing this right? I hope I haven't already asked this question...

Why do people have more than 2 kids??

This is just me, and actually I only have two kids but I considered having a third for a very long time. Wanting to be pregnant was not the reason for wanting the child. There is such a bond of love that you develop with your child and it's such a beautiful and life changing experience. I...

Anyone Hypothyroid on T3 as well as synthroid?

I have heard a lot about Armour Thyroid medication, because usually after I go hyperthyroid I then go hypothyroid. Do you think most doctors would be willing to prescribe the Armour Thyroid, I'm really getting frustrated. My energy level right now is so low it's really difficult to keep...

Anyone Hypothyroid on T3 as well as synthroid?

I'm hypothyroid but just took another annual test and now I'm hyperthyroid, funny thing I haven't lost any weight because of it, darn! Anyway, my levels seem to go back and forth each year, I'm wondering if T3 in addition to my medication would help? Anyone else use this? I get tired of the...

Calipers/ Better than scale to me

I just wanted to say I like using these far better than using the scales. You don't have to worry about what time if day it is, do I have enough water or too much water. I think they are far more consistent than body fat scales. Thanks to those of you who had given me the suggestion to use...

    Hand held bodyfat indicators

You know the caliper is one thing I haven't tried. Knowing my bodyfat is not the end all to be all. What really helps is me being able to look in the mirror and see how my body looks and how things fit, with that said, it still is nice to know where I fall under the current"fit standards"...

    Hand held bodyfat indicators

Maybe I need to get a digital caliper and forget the tanita and the hand held device? It's really difficult for the average person to get an accurate reading, you just kind of have to gauge it with what you've got.
