    Viva Italia!!!

Jilly, If you like smoothies, be sure to try Italian "frulattes"--like the gelato, they are somehow a bit more special in Italy! In fact, all the food is wonderful. Not to mention the sites and people. Have a great time! --Ann

    Treadmoves

Hi, Cybersis, I have to be nosy and ask you about your daughter and soccer. I coach High school down in California, so I'm just curious about what season you play; are the teams attached to school or are they just clubs, etc. The Canadian women made a great showing in the world cup this year...

    Taking up a martial art.

Years ago my son took Aikido for a couple years. It is based more on reacting to attack, or self-defense, I believe. It still looked like a great workout, and there is some fighting, but the western aggressive philosophy that you seem to be encountering was less likely to come out in the Aikido...

    The Zen of waiting....

RE: Ann, some suggestions! Thank you, KathyS! My remote is on its way from Partsolvers, and should be here in plenty of time for the DVDs. When it comes to technical things it can be a bit frustrating living in the boonies, but I would never trade it. Today I watched a salmon fight its way up...

    Hi my friends!

Debbie: I'll be thinking of you and Julie. A dear friend of mine had a similar experience in her pregnancy and although it was an ordeal, everyone made it through and all are happy and healthy now. Keep your faith. --Ann

    The Zen of waiting....

Wow! Thanks for all the great ideas, everyone! Kathy S. I think I will try what you said re: partsolvers and Sony. Yesterday I was into just sort of wallowing since I'd run into such a brick wall with the store. Now I'm ready to take this on. Thanks for helping me out! --Ann

Just had to share this with all of you ...

Carol: Your joy in this shared experience with your daughter comes through so beautifully! How wonderful and fun! Sometimes I get to witness that young enthusiasm in teenaged girls because I coach and work in a PE dept. at a high school. It is really empowering for them at a time when they...

    The Zen of waiting....

I finally decided to take the DVD plunge with the BB series. Converted my preorder a couple months back, and bought a DVD/VCR combo player since my VCR's on its last legs. Got myself a couple sale CIA DVD's to tide me over, and settled in for the wait that I knew was going to be so worth it...

    Go Red Sox!

I'm on the forum right now because I can't stand to go in the living room and watch the game. I can hear it and the Yanks just got on the board with Giambi's home run. The other night when I finally thought it was safe to go in and watch the Cubs game it was the top of the 8th. Needless to say...

    Susan Harris Floor Burn anyone?

Hi, Beth, I traded it away after doing it only once. It's like the Volume I floor work "light". I think it would be really good for someone trying to strengthen a lot of the secondary or stabilizer muscles in the hip area, or someone who had specific injuries that procluded standing work that...

    Petie my Lab:(

Barbara: I am so sorry for you and your family. It is tragic that Petie was so young. He was so lucky to have the love and devotion that you gave him. Some day another dog will be lucky enough to find you when you are ready for it. Petie will always have a special place in your hearts. --Ann

    update on Petie my Lab

Barbara: I've been checking in here to find out about Petie as much as the new workouts, and when I saw your post today I was afraid of the worst, but it sounds like things are looking up! I'm so relieved for you! I have five dogs and they are all like my children. They are 12, 10, 10, 7...

    Knee/ACL Pain?

I had a variety of symptoms when I first tore my ACL. It is completely severed. The main overall feeling was one of instability, but in particular, some things really made it go out. Stepping down forward onto my toe first would make the knee buckle. Sometimes this would happen going down...

Rhythmic Step - harder than it looks

RS is one of my favorites; I love the moves and the time sails by. It also sneaks up on me because the sections get progressively harder. It seems to work my endurance. --Ann

Thanks Lynn and Debbie Lynn and Debbie: Thanks for the great replies. You have given me a thorough foundation for trying this out, especially knowing how well it's working for you. I'll let you know after I'm into it a couple weeks how it's going. --Ann

another ? about the stability ball size

See if it will take more air. I remember when I first blew mine up (a good time to practice zen, as I recall) I thought I was finished long before I really was. Then measure it and if it's not 55cm diameter, send that puppy back! You got a lemon! --Ann

Debbie H.-- How is the PS/CTX 1 pt/day rotation going?

RE: Sorry, Looong! Hi, Debbie and Lynn: I was just about to post a question about doing the one per day rotation when I saw your thread. I'm going to try it for a couple months due to time restraints. I was just wondering how you decided to combine PS and CTX, and which order you do them...
