OT- Nail Polish Info for Pregnant Women

Thanks for this post! I was investigating a nice matte brown color for my toes (because they aren't really "sandal friendly" toenails :-) This will obviously alter my decision to do that! Leela

    60 minutes of cardio...

RE: Women's sports and fitness... To add insult to injury, they replaced the subscription with "Self" which is mostly fluff!!! But the butt doctor article is great, and now that i'm past my first trimester illness, i've been doing those exercises! I swear, I see a difference in my butt shape...

    60 minutes of cardio...

RE: Women's sports and fitness... I wanted to add - ANY amount of aerobic activity is beneficial, and the beauty of it is - you gain endurance and strength and are able to handle more - the more you exercise. But often, the guidelines that are given out (i.e. the old 20 minutes 3x a week)...

    60 minutes of cardio...

Women's sports and fitness... And WSF is no longer in print. It was a very decent fitness magazine - they replaced my subscription wiht "Self" which occasionally has some good fitness stuff, but mostly annoys me (I'm just the wrong target audience. Too old, and my lifestyle is too different...

    Paging Leela!

RE: Responding to Page!!!! I am really sorry you don't feel well. I hope you feel better soon, but you are doing right by yourself in taking some time to recuperate. Luckily I haven't been as sick this year as last. Last year my daughter was sick every WEEK since she started daycare last year...

    60 minutes of cardio...

When WSF magazine posted their awesome "Exercise Diet" article They recommended 3x a week 60 minutes of cardio at 75-80% of your max hr. I took that to mean - for 60 minutes you are working out brutally hard ... and thus, you would need to tack on more time for the warmup and cooldown.

    Amnio Results

Whew! Thanks for sharing this good story. I declined Amnio as well (35, didn't think it was necessary) and am having my level II in 1.5 wks. It is good to know that even though the u/s shows some potentially questionable results, that it can still be off. Thanks again! Leela

    acrobatic mama

Can only answer your ?? about weight gain (or lack!) About how late you think you will make it while doing the production - that is so individual. Hope they can be flexible - and just listen to your body! >it ok to remain at >my normal weight for the >first 3 months? > >Jenny > Yes...

26 weeks and I feel like a loser

You don't SOUND like a loser to me. In fact, you sound like a contender for Xena :-) >yet). My OB/GYN says "Oh, >those tapes are too easy, >just switch to the FIRM". Yeesh. What is easy to one is hard to another. Although you sound very fit, pregnancy hits us all differently. And each...

RE: I'm not Leela Thank you Lynn! Even my VF posting has been so sporadic. Part of making fitness a priority though for me, is to stay in touch with these two boards! Leela

Responding to Page!!!! Hi! I've been away from the forum a while due to not feeling so hot (being pregnant :-)), and massive deadline crunch at work (made it!). But thanks for the page, and I'm really happy to hear you were feeling like working out again at 14 weeks! I'm 17.5 weeks now, and...

8 weeks today and need motivation!

How about company in your misery? Feeling really badly this week (started week 8 on thursday). I recall my fatigue went away before my nausea (my nausea disappeared at 14.5 wks with my daughter - fatigue... maybe week 11?) It's hard though... Leela

    Exercising during post-miscarriage pregnancy

Wow - sounds like we took similar tactics I also used my post miscarriage time to start really cranking the workouts - I was doing a mix of Cathe's CTX and my firm tapes. I even have some Mindy Mylrea's that I was doing. I had also let myself kind of go lax during my pregnancy and then during...
