    breathing while pushing

As another data point - in both my pregnancies, when it came time to deliver, I didn't even think of it - I didn't pay attention to it - I just did what came naturally, and can't really remember if I held my breath or not. I just ... pushed and nobody really said anything by way of 'advice'...

    Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy

I disliked this book Vicki is NOT a medical professional, nor is she educated in exercise physiology, etc. In other words, she is NOT qualified to make the statement she does about exercise.

    Welcome Elizabeth Anne....

Congrats!!!!!!! So many of us post partum at the same time. We should have a post partum checkin. I'm ready to start working out NOW (9 days PP), but have been warned to take it easy (had pre-eclampsia). Sigh. I hate waiting.

ROTFL!! :-) I thought of you!! My friend Kris is also due before me in august, and told me I had to wait .. heh heh heh. Anyway - Thurs night, was fortunate to recognize labor starting in the form of mild recurrent (20 min apart) back cramps. Late thursday, found traces of show (not like...

Leela! How are you doing? Are you still here????

I'm still pregnant :-) and I know what you mean about feeling lousy Hi! I've had an easy last trimester so far, but this week is really uncomfortable. Ended up at L&D friday because I was contracting (I wasn't worried - they weren't labor-like - they felt like bhx, but I went to the drs to do...

    HAPPY FRIDAY - C'MON & CHECK IN!

I heard my first's at 10 weeks, and this baby's wasn't audible at 13! And it wasn't 'maternal fat' related either. The placenta placement, coupled with the baby placement made it impossible to detect via doppler so they did an impromptu u/s. I just wanted to reassure you that at 13 wks, I...

    HAPPY FRIDAY - C'MON & CHECK IN!

Hi! I'm 35.5 weeks now , and I feel great. Except for the itchy skin (bile salts in my skin. Happened llast time too.) But I can manage that. Sometimes I have to take an antihistamine to sleep (to cut on the edge of the itching), but mostly i'm fine.. and it isn't like this every day. I'm days...

    post-delivery belly

Almost past that nausea point! Sorry about the wt issue. But mostly the important thing is you take care of what you need - including eating to stave off nausea! >eat, the dizziness goes away, >but then the nausea hits! > You just can't win. Yick. I hate the first trimester! 13 weeks -...

    post-delivery belly

Yay! >is so encouraging to know >that I'm not alone! Absolutely! Reading your post was comforting too! It is really hard to get back in the groove. Even with a supportive spouse, etc - it just is hard! >(due in 1/02) and I >don't see myself getting back >into that groove until after...
