    Maybe I'm an idiot but...

I think the D usually stands for 'Dear' or 'Darling'. Although there are times it's probably a different 'D' word ;)

    STS CHECK IN DISC 29

I'm a certified klutz. I don't do those high jumps either. I have a baby step that I use for these, or I just do floor hops. I still sweat buckets so I'm not worried about the intensity. :p I get SOBS (sudden onset butt soreness) as well as DOBS (delayed onset butt soreness) with these...

    Best Shoes?

I'm back to my desk job but over the summer/fall I was a 'regular' pharmacist. That involves standing and walking all day long. I was really worried about that part since I have recurrent plantar fascitis and I'm not a lightweight. My personal preference is for a wider toe box and narrower...

    Anyone have a 15yr mortgage?

I honestly don't know why everyone doesn't have a 15 year mortgage. You usually get a better rate (at least when I did mine). And you pay less interest over time. The payment is not THAT much more than the 30 year. And I still pay extra. I'm hoping to have mine paid off in 12 yrs. That...

    Another GWF update

[raises hand] I did the 'bundle' via Amazon. $209 for the full package + 3months free. Seemed like a better deal that at the gowearfit website. I'm an absolute tech-nut and I NEED to understand why it's so hard for my post-50 post-menopausal body to lose weight. Plus I think it's cool.

    STS CHECK IN DISC 26

Plyo Plyo for me. (I did mine on Sunday) I was pretty scared of this routine. I'm not a fan of lower body workouts to begin with and the impact (that I try to avoid) added to that fear. I did enjoy the 'regular' weight work mixed in with the plyos. Thank you for that Cathe! As for the...

Does anybody like Cathe's weighted gloves?

The sizing must be new. I see it on the drop down. But the description still shows "- Adjustable - One Size Fits Most"

    another any good books thread

My library card is one of my most prized possessions  My tastes run toward paranormal. I'm currently reading a Kelly Armstrong book (I like all of her work). More in the mainstream you might want to try Nora Roberts as a lot of people seem to like her. (My preference is for her JD Robb...

    TJ Ab Jam...

Yup. That's what mine is. There's a 40min Cardio Party on the other disk. While I find these pretty repetitious I DO find they work my abs. Especially the upper. And it has a kickbox flavor that I like. Chalene is cute and perky but not in the Denise-Austin-deer-in-the-headlights-perky...

Does anybody like Cathe's weighted gloves?

I have a like/dislike relationship with mine. I do think there is only one size. Likes - zipper pockets, ability to vary the weights, velcro 'buckle'. If adding more weights you do have to 'stuff' it Dislikes - seem too loose overall. They have to be a bit loose to fit over my weight gloves...

My FAVORITE type of workout. H E A V Y :D Love the push pull. Almost makes up for the agony (for me) of Meso 1 :p

Plyo Legs - Busted by Cathe

OMG me too! today was my first Meso 3 plyo. And this was EXACTLY where I paused it. After squat jumps or some such torture device. I would have LOL'd if I had the breath. In fact I had to pause twice more. Once when I thought I was going to throw up and once when I thought I might pass...

    Those of you with asthma...

Asthma is no fun. I would definitely NOT recommend anything over the counter. Primatene is usually not readily available and it is non specific so it has a LOT of effects. There are a lot of very good asthma drugs. If you're having a lot of attacks you get a maintenance inhaler. If they...

STS RECOVERY WEEK CHECK IN..DAY 4

Silver Sneakers? Mine are silver! lol I vote for a film of that too ;) Today was the Firm Cardio Dance Fusion. Last day of active recovery for me. I just printed my M3-Wk1 cards. Tomorrow is Chest-Back. I love the push-pull type. I'm READY!!

I need cooking advice re: homemade soup

Yup. Boat motor. aka immersion blender. ;) They are easy to use and clean and not too expensive. I think mine's a Cuisinart as well. Now I'm mostly a raw foodie so my 'soup' ingredients go into the Vitamix raw. I just let it go for awhile to get warm. Now THAT'S a powerful machine.

What did you buy with your discount???

With the April discount I bought the Push/Pull Tower With the May discount I'm thinking about maybe some step options. But the shipping costs are stopping me so maybe not.

    Blender/juicer Suggestions?

I have a Breville for juicing. It works fine. I rarely use it because I hate dumping all that terrific fiber. Now I just blend everything in my Vitamix. Do check out that thread. I think the Blendtec is comparable to the Vitamix but I only have the Vitamix so I can't compare. I CAN tell...

    Odd question for y'all

Really interesting. Especially with the info on the one-on-one. Sorry for all you're going through. I should say that I'm not married (anymore). My $0.02 It would make me crazy to not know if/when my husband was coming home. That said, if I decided to follow the counselor's suggestion...

    A new health book

Natalia's Detox book was what got me interested in raw foods. I found it informative and a good starting point. Especially since she has different levels for just about anyone. I've since gone my own way (the food combining and waste management principles were just not for me) and I moved...
