I am petite small boned woman. I hid my first pregnancy at a new job til 14 months, but family guessed I was pregnant at 8 weeks. I believe I truly showed with #1 at about 12 weeks. With #2, i really started showing at about 9 weeks. I gained moderate weight though with both and lost it all.

    help with motivation please!!

Lizzie congrats. Once you adjust to having 2 young children at once you will be happy they are so close in age. It sounds like you have a bit of anxiety/depression since it sounds unplanned. So first, talk to people about your feelings . Don't feel guilty you wil be a great mom to both kids...

Which DVD do I use after after pregnancy?

Congrats! I would start off with basic step/bodyfusion. Interm. level but includes a decent mix. I would also start back with walks with the baby until you feel up to cathe workouts. Another nice mixed workout is cardio and weights. If you can also swing it, the ctx cardio series is great for a...

    Body image issues and pregnancy

My first daughter was born in September and I recently had moved to cape cod. Each previous summer I spent in bikinis, but of course that summer I wore a shapeless maternity suit. We too are avid boaters and the cape is filled with skinny teenagers. I felt fat but began to focus on what was left...

Will a pear shaped shorty get bulky thighs?

How interested about the stretching. I am 5 foot tall, not pear shaped though. I have lowered the weight on my legwork due to bulking. I am trying to go no heavier than 18 pounds total for lower body and am finding that floorwork is really what helps to slim the lower body. I believe using too...

    sad

How awful! Please use us for support. One of my friends had an ectoptic pregnancy between her first and second child. 3 months later she became pregnant again and had a healthy girl. Allow yourself to grieve but realize ectoptic pregnancies happen rarely so your next should be fine. And realize...

    Sooo . . .how much weight . . .

Eat fairly healthy and exercise, what you gain is what your body AND YOUR BABY NEED. I gained 22 and 23 pounds with my pregnancies but that was alot on my 5 foot frame. I stopped gaining much weight my 3rd trimester with both, so don't worry the weight gain may slow but if it doesn't don't...

Had to take like 6 PG tests

Congrats! With my first despite 2 positive pregnancy tests I did a blood test to make sure it was real. With #2, I believed the test immediately. Life does change but it isn't a shock the way you think it will be. Your life becomes different but you really don't miss the old life if the timing...

Hi, I would go, this may be your last chance to have fun with the girls, childless! Next, I would jokingly say to your friends that you aren't drinking. If your friends know you well, they will guess. Let them know you are early and still worried though. I told my friends I was pregnant right...

    Bouncing Back After Baby?

Hi Chrissy, As optomistic as I sound now, I didn't enjoy my pregnancy as I should have since I was so afraid of losing my figure. At under 5 feet tall, I looked like a refrigerator despite minimal weight loss. Both my kids are girls so I am trying hard to send the right message. I keep telling...

    Bouncing Back After Baby?

Chrissy, pregnancy is so hard on body image. I exercised through both pregnancies and ate fairly healthy but all the time. Within 3 months after each baby, I was within about 5 pounds of prepreggo weight. My body held onto a few pounds while nursing. After my first, I was thinner than I was...

    Need Encouragement, Breastfeeding

I agree with everyone, do what works best for you. But I do recommend nursing for at leat 1 month before giving it up. A friend gave me this advice and it was true. The first month of nursing stinks, it is long and painful . As you and the baby get used to it, it gets easier. I nursed my oldest...

Little girl jelousy issues w/ brother, any suggestions!

Amelia, Sorry all my for sale signs were used up last time I tried to sell my 3 year old. My 3.9 year old was an angel until the birth of her sister. She loves her sister but jelousy is normal, and your post was not stupid! By the way despite the craziness in my house, I am a child therapist!
