Perfect Pull up on sale & coupon

I got mine at Walmart for $59 and bought the straps for $20. I think it's a quality piece of equipment. I don't see all that plastic that some have complained about. There's a solid metal screw that attaches the handles to the hooks. Maybe they changed the design.

I just got my replacement CLX DVD's..I'm not complaining...I'm just saying......... .

I know I'll be waiting for mine for a long time because I didn't call them until last week. I'm hoping because they're on backorder that they'll be pressing new ones and these will be scratch free. The ones who asked for replacements and got them probably just got the ones that were left over...

    CTX vs 4DS?

IMO, 4 Day cardio is easier and I don't like it as much as the cardio in CTX. However, the weight work in 4 Day Split is better. Get both!:D

    perfect puul-up ad?

I got mine at Walmart for $59. A very sturdy, well made piece of equipment. No harness for abs though. I'm using it with my Iron Woody Assisted Pullup bands.

I love you Cathe but I am tired of waiting.....

Sorry! I stand by my sarcastic comment. And I do live by that "do unto others" philosophy.;) Well said Pippa.

I love you Cathe but I am tired of waiting.....

Geeze! How many times do I have to be reminded how lucky I am to be me, living the life I do, with enough disposable income to allow me to partake in Cathe preorders and such because, in the grand scheme of things, these problems are trivial.... News flash! We know that people! We don't...

    Chalean Extreme Initial Impressions

My post exactly. But instead of following it with HIIT, I did 40 min of Rhythmic Step. I think I'm really going to like this series. What I find particularly appealing is that she gives you the option of doing it with bands, which is great if you travel a lot and don't want to mess up your...

    I cancelled STS!!!!

I've been preordering Cathe since her Intensity Series and she's never failed to deliver, but I cancelled my preorder today. I just wasn't impressed w/ the STS clips and I felt the whole system would require too much thought and more involvement than I'm willing to give. I did order Chalene's...

    What happened to Snidey Spidey?

Low posts don't mean anything on this board. I was once a senior member with a high post count but that got erased because I had to reregister. Let's not be so hung up on our membership status here people!

    30 Day Shred

It's alright. I brought it on vacation w/ me because I needed a hotel friendly workout and this fits the bill. It calls for one set of weights and it's not a space hog. I haven't done it since. Those two weeks with Jillian was all I could take. Her chatter drove me nuts. I was...

    I AM THE ULTIMATE WUSS!!!!

I can usually lift 15 pounders for upright bicep curls, but Amy Bento includes incline curls in her Slo-Mo workout and I'm lucky if I can do 10 reps using 8 pounders. Those things slay me!

What's the last movie that made you cry?

I rarely watch movies, but I rented Into the Wild last month and went through a box of Kleenex. I loved it so much I bought the DVD.

Total Body Workouts - What Say You?

I just don't have the time for split routines. My running takes priority and since I'm not focusing so much on strength, I just do total upper body workouts, lifting as heavy as I can, twice a week for maintenence. That will probably change once STS is delivered, but until then I'm going to...

    My daughter has Lyme Disease

So sorry to hear about your daughter! I live in Lyme Disease country, Connecticut. My DH had it twice--yes, you can get reinfected. The second time affected his heart, causing pericarditis. He was successfully treated with Doxycycline and seems to be OK now. My three year old nephew has...

So what's the skinny on cellulite?

I've always been on the skinny side but I've had these "dimples" on my outer thighs since my early 20's, and I was a hardcore runner who watched everything I ate and wore a size 2 jeans. It's genetic. Fortunately for me, those areas haven't gotten any worse.

I don't want to complain, but...

Check out Runners World's Oct. issue. They have an article about tapering.

Hey runners how many miles, . .

I'm fairly new at it, only doing about 10 miles a week, about 3.2 miles/3 days a week. On my off days I walk at least 4 miles. I don't agree with the belly fat rule. It's too general a statement. I like to add hill work, and do intervals at the track for variety. Changing your routine...

    It just isn't fall until...........

We went apple picking Sunday and I've been busy baking all sorts of delicious apple treats; apple pie, apple bread, apple dumplings...yummo! Sadly, the maple trees here in CT were attacked by a fungus, so the colors aren't as spectacular this year. I'm still enjoying fall though. I've been...

    Workouts for Pear Shape Women

The only lower body workouts that work for me are barre type workouts. Squeeze, Bar Method, Pure Barre, etc. If I want to do a Cathe lower body workout it's usually Leaner Legs. I do it with light weights. Running and kickboxing are my choices for cardio. Stepping seems to make my butt...

    Leg workouts for leaning out...

I'm a pear too, and running combined with hi-rep/low weight workouts (and vids like Leaner Legs) work best for me. When I get the motivation I'll also do a barre rotation. If I do barre consistently my legs look fabulous. Sadly, I find they have a huge dread factor.
