LIS Series and types of workouts

Hmmm...I don't know where the thread is that describes each individual workout, but you could try clicking on the LIS series at the top of this page and it will take you to the list of the workouts (for sale) and you can click on each one to read the description. I think that slide & glide...

any other cardio dvd's as tough as Cathe?

I have trouble straying from Cathe, but I do own a few Mindy Mylrea workouts and man is she tough. The production of her dvds is no where near Cathe's level though, but if you can get past that, her workouts really get my HR up and I burn a lot of calories (usually end up with an...

Step 360--I think I must have!

Thanks so much for your review! Yea, I know what you mean about it being tough using something like the BOSU or the 360 Step for a step. Do you have any BOSU workouts? I bet that would be one way to use your 360 step for cardio. I have a couple - one is by Mindy Mylrea - man is that a...

    newbie...overwhelmed!

I am so excited for you!! I think your timing will work fine getting through your 1 RM and doing your other Cathe workouts is perfect. I LOVE KPC, it is my favorite Cathe workout right now, and Butts & Guts is my favorite lower body workout...man did that work on my butt! I was amazed it...

    What are your favorite "Cathe-isms"

I love that one, too - Okay, I heard you - it makes me smile every time! And I do KPC a lot, I think it is my current Cathe favorite. I also like, I think they are crying - or something like that during UP, I think it is when she is doing the biceps.

Step 360--I think I must have!

Cool, I will look for your review on Monday. I have now had 2 TRX classes, both were the same principal. The instructor has 8 different TRX's hanging up, adjusted for 8 different exercises, plus 2 cardio exercises that we do outside of the studio. We do each of the 10 exercises for 1 minute...

Step 360--I think I must have!

I went to Sports Authority last night after my 1st TRX class and saw they have the step 360! It was on the floor (next to a BOSU) and I gave it a try. Wow, I really like it!! It was ~$145 I think...yowsa. If I can get free shipping collage video would be the way to go. They also had the...

    What are your favorite "Cathe-isms"

I think she says that in pyramid upper body - when she is doing her bicep curls! Very cute!

I keep hoping that you're step 360 has arrived and you've had the chance to use it so you can post a review. Hee hee, it feels a little like when we are waiting for clips or new cathe workouts to be shipped out...I know I am not giving you much time, I just am really interested in your...

ooh, thanks for letting us know! Oh and let us know about those Kangoo jumps - I have looked longingly at those, too!!

Step 360--I think I must have!

Oh my, you are so right, this looks great! The 360step (not Jesse) ;) I have a BOSU, but this looks like it would work on more of my step workouts than the BOSU does. I find on some of Cathe's more intricately choreographed routines the BOSU is hard to keep up - it works for some of her...

What nutrition database/calorie counter do you use?

I use spark people, too and love it. I've been a member for just over 4 years and have made some really good friends there. I find it to be an incredibly supportive site, too.

    newbie...overwhelmed!

It sounds like you have plenty of equipment - and you don't need a barbell for STS, though there are some moves where a barbell is used, you can easily substitute dumbbells. In fact there are times when Cathe will even mention that you can use dumbbells and one of the cast will use them instead...

    newbie...overwhelmed!

I agree that STS does have a lot of equipment, but if you have done Chalene Extreme you may already have some of the more expensive items - weights and perhaps a way to help you with chest presses, something like Cathe's turbo tower? If so, I highly, highly recommend STS. It does go on sale...

    Our new Workout Interval Timer

I am going to use it for my tabata workouts - I can set it for a 5 minute warm-up and then do 20 sec high, followed by 10 sec rest for 8 reps, and then a 1 min "cool-down" and then start up my 20 sec high, 10 sec rest for 8 rep. I think it is so helpful that I can hear Cathe counting down, too...

    Anyone try Jari Loves DVD's?

MONTHS! (over 6) It just wouldn't go away, and I even stopped exercising, but just walking and standing kept it going. What really got it to go away was that Rubz ball I posted a link to on the PF thread and wearing my MBT shoes (along with the little foot brace - like a little sock with the...

    Anyone try Jari Loves DVD's?

Ah, I see. I guess it's been awhile since I've done my Jari Love workouts and I was thinking of them as ST dvds. But you want cardio. So I've been thinking about what cardio would be helpful with a foot injury (I am a recent plantar fasciitis recoverer) and what I thought might work is tabata...
