    work advice

Administrative Assistant was the job description, no training, but they've never had an admin assistant before, probably because they don't need one! I go around to everyone for jobs, including the person who hired me and generally get brushed off like I'm just a nuisance

    work advice

I recently started a new job (4 weeks ago) and am very unhappy. It appears as if they hired me without actually having anything for me to do! I go from person to person begging for something to do and usual only get easy, busy work type stuff. This morning this is what I did: 1) checked email...

Cathe, do you recommend leaning and then building or building and then leaning?

thanks for replying! I'm sorry, but I must have given an impression I was a newcomer but I'm not. ACtually I've been doing Cathe since the 90s. Sadly, this doesnt necessarily mean I look like her! :)

let's talk about the 20-30 lb rotation Cathe made a while back...

RE: let's talk about the 20-30 lb rotation Cathe made a... yep that's the one! It seems really good, I'm just worried about it not giving me the results I want/need because I only have exactly 12 wks to accomplish most of my goals.

I posted this on the ask cathe board as well, but thought I'd get other answer from here too... I'm confused and no doubt the answer is more along the lines of "what works best for you" but I thought I'd ask anyway. I noticed you did a 12 wk rotation for someone once that followed the build...

Cathe, do you recommend leaning and then building or building and then leaning?

I'm confused and no doubt the answer is more along the lines of "what works best for you" but I thought I'd ask anyway. I noticed you did a 12 wk rotation for someone once that followed the build the muscle and then lean it out concept, but then all your monthly rotataion for fat loss are all...

let's talk about the 20-30 lb rotation Cathe made a while back...

ACtually I'm really liking the looks of this one better. The one I was referring to required several double days which I really don't have time for...this one is more manageable. Think it would do the trick? Hi Everyone! This months rotation will focus on Muscular Strength. It...

let's talk about the 20-30 lb rotation Cathe made a while back...

nope, its a different rotation from that one. I get what you're saying Jilly a bout building muscle and that helping in the long run with the weight loss but then I don't get why cathe's fat loss rotations all go the endurance/lots of cardio route.....no doubt I'm overanalzying...

let's talk about the 20-30 lb rotation Cathe made a while back...

Anyone remember it? She had you doing 3 wks of SH + cardio, 3 wks of PS + cardio, repeat the SH for 3 wks, then 3 weeks of various other mostly circuits. First of all, in analyzing it, I'm kind of surprised she planned the rotation to build the muscle first and then lean it out. This sounds like...

for best fat loss results...gym or cathe?

I've been a Cathe devotee for 6 years with very short rare deviations. I KNOW she delivers but sometimes the dread factor is high. FIRMS are "easier".....what I REALLY should do is get rid of everything else and just have cathe and the gym as my options.

for best fat loss results...gym or cathe?

at 530am I won't have any problems with equipment....I've been in a cathe slump for about 6months now. I WANT to do Cathe but every time I get started something happens to my motivation. Then I turn to the FIRM and do that for a few days then start to feel guilty about not doing Cathe and its a...

I'm toying with the idea of going back into the gym for the summer months....do you think I will better reach my fat loss goals this way or through Cathe?

tell me about your gym workouts

Thanks Lauramax! That's exactly what I was looking for! So let me see if I got this, you do legs and chest during the week (let's say Mon and Wed), you do cathe cardio in the am 3x/week (let's say Tues, Thurs and Fri) and then on Sat you do cardio and biceps at the gym, and on Sun you do cardio...

tell me about your gym workouts

I'm considering going back to the gym to do workouts for a change of pace. I've got the cardio figured out but I'd love to see other people's routines for weights.....and I like specifics! Like what exactly do you do for chest etc.....thanks!

does anyone here have super stubborn bodies?

candi, yes this is basically what I'm thinking of for myself. I am an endomorph, bottom heavy, short stubby legs (tree trunks really). I'm not yet 40 but just turned 37 and have noticed its gotten harder lately in the last few years. How unfair is this? Sheesh!

does anyone here have super stubborn bodies?

My husband and I have been struggling to lose weight for forever and I'm about reaching the conclusion that what works for most of the population doesnt work for us. Instead of giving it 100% we have to give it 150% to get the same results. does this make sense? WE both do cardio and/or weights...

build strength and THEN lose fat or vice versa?

alright, so here's what I did. I went to the rotation board and picked 4 rotations that qualified for all 3 cycles (leaning, bulking, and maintenance/fitness variety). I'm now all set for a full year of rotations! Subject to change ever so slightly when she comes out with new videos - I'll have...
