    Bulemia witnessed (long)

    >I guess I don't necessarily agree that what you witnessed is >bulimia. You did not witness her put her finger down her >throat in the bathroom several times. You also said she was >drinking--I tend to lose my resolve to eat small portions when >I've been drinking and she may just be the...

    Bulemia witnessed (long)

    >I'd make sure you knew for absolute certainty before >proceeding. All clue point that way but you weren't actually >in the bathroom and witnessing a forced vomit. You're absolutely right; I didn't witness anything except an extreme binge. It just all seemed very peculiar to me and it...

    Bulemia witnessed (long)

I witnessed something this weekend that really disturbed me and just needed to share. It's about a friend of mine (not a super close friend, actually more of a "summer" friend, because our DH do a lot of sport activities together in the summer). Anyway, I always knew Brenda as a healthy girl...

    >Tracie Scoggins (used to be on some nighttime soap?) Ah, yes, the name does sound familiar! Thanks!

    Where's All of the Nip/Tuck Fan's???

Great first episode! There sure was a lot of (fairly graphic) sex, wasn't there? Hey, does anyone know who the mother was in Christian's Mother/Daughter pair? She looked really familiar to me, but I couldn't quite place her!

    Jeans for fall!

Cruel Girl jeans low-rise relaxed fit in long! These are sold in western stores primarily, so not sure of their availability nationwide. They are actually long enough for me (!), which I love. Plus the low-rise relaxed fit makes these about the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn!! They...

    Anyone here have tattoos?

I have 2 hummingbirds on the inside of my left ankle and a Bird of Paradise flower on my right hip in front. I still want one more - a veterinary caduceus (the snake around the pole inside a "V"). I think I will get that on my low back somewhere, probably sometime soon. Funny, I heard...

    Weirdest compliment

Last spring I was examining a dog (Bichon) who was having a difficult labor. I was trying to determine if I was going to have to do a c-section or if we could deliver the puppies manually. So I'm standing in the exam room with the clients (husband and wife-the wife's a bit kooky!), doing a...

    COSMO IS OK!!!!!!!!!!

    >Edie...is the Welactin sold over the counter? I cannot give >my dog the prescribed arthritis drugs due to her age and the >negative side effects. She is now on doggie aspirin and >glucosamine and mommy massages. Melissa, Welactin is only available from a veterinarian, even though...

    COSMO IS OK!!!!!!!!!!

Laura! That is great news!! I know how much of a worry and stress these things can be! (I just took the spleen out of my own dog - Sage - a few weeks ago-thankfully it was a benign tumor-but I was a basket case for a few days!) Hopefully she will be feeling better on her new meds. BTW...

    Dog problems again

Laura, So sorry to hear about Cosmo's recent troubles. A couple of things I think of..... 1. Could be just worsening arthritis/pain and perhaps she needs either different or more meds to help with that. 2. If there is perhaps a "mystery" tumor in her abdomen, sometimes those can...

    Vet update--need help!

LauraMax, Yes, Cosmo's GI upset certainly could be from the Deramaxx. I would start her with a lower dose, then see if she can tolerate more. Also, always give it with food and not on an empty stomach. As a veterinarian, I can understand your frustration with our profession from your...

    Question for all dog owners

I know for a fact that vets and doctors do get incentives / kickbacks on prescribing medications as well as vets getting a substantial >part (over 40 %) on prescribing Hills Science Diet. I'm not sure where you get your information. I am a veterinarian in MT and while we very occasionally...

    shave or wax?

I recently went to Hawaii and didn't want to worry about "strays", so I jumped all the way and got a Brazilian! It wasn't horrible, but I have a fairly high pain tolerance. The lady I go to is very professional and very experienced. I have liked the results so much that I'm going to keep...

    Moms, I need your help!

Some of you may know that I'm a veterinarian. I have been asked by one of my clients to give a presentation to a couple of groups of kids participating in a YMCA summer camp in June. Since I don't have children, I was just hoping you could give me some suggestions of important things you feel...

    Power 90 plyo legs

I love Plyo Legs. Very intense and a good leg workout. He doesn't use any weights, just intense plyo-type moves. I always feel it in my legs the next day. It's probably my favorite of all the Masters Series workouts.

    Dolores Munoz

I have it and have done it a couple of times. I use weights right from the start instead of waiting until the second set. Actually not a bad workout and really fits in nicely to a Freestyle program!!
