    stinky shoes

Thanks everyone! I'll try the febreeze first (since they're leather and they're new). If that doesn't work then I'll put them in the washing machine and cross my fingers. :-)

    stinky shoes

How do you all wash your tennis shoes (or sneakers - as probably most of you say)? I have some relatively new leather slip-on ones that I wear without socks and they've become a little stinky. DH told me to put them in the washing machine, but I'm afraid that'll ruin them. I can't seem to...

Mindy Mylrea's All About Abs anyone?

IMO, this is one tough DVD. If you want challenging, this is for you. I have done the sections with the medicine ball, stability ball, and no equipment. As Aquajock said, the moves a very non-traditional. They are really more core-focused as opposed to working mainly the abs with crunches...

Featherbed or Memory Foam Mattress Topper?

DH and I got a new firmer mattress because our pillowtop was too mushy. But maybe our new one is too firm. We're thinking of getting a featherbed topper or a memory foam one. Any thoughts? Thanks, Melissa

Bootcamp variation - more focus on arms

That's a great idea. I usually do the "all but core" premix and tack abs on the end, but I like your idea. I've been doing push-ups and pull-ups before doing my actually upper body workouts lately, so another option would be to do those during the ab/core sections. Melissa

Legs & Glutes or GS Legs

Just curious which of these workouts y'all like better and why. I have both of them. Did L&G last night for the first time in awhile and am feeling it today.

    Bare Escentuals/Mineral Make-up

Hi kathryn, Russian women as brides? Ha! Here are the correct links (hopefully I "linked" them right): http://www.pureluxecosmetics.com/ http://www.alimacosmetics.com/ Also, http://www.makeupalley.com/ has good reviews on the makeup. Alima isn't listed as a make-up brand, so you...

    Bare Escentuals/Mineral Make-up

    >I too was on the hunt for mineral makeup and found Youngblood. It is spectacular! Oh no! Another one for me to try! Thanks for the suggestion, I think. ;-)

    Bare Escentuals/Mineral Make-up

FYI, for those who like Bare Escentuals or tried BE and didn't like them because they were shiny, contained bismuth oxychloride, etc., the Beauty Thread over at videofitness got me to try some other mineral make-up. I got samples from Everyday Minerals and Pure Luxe, and love them. Might try...

    Stiff Neck

I have no real suggestions for you, but I do have some sympathy. I've had a stiff neck since Thursday. Was finally able to workout Sunday (a short run and some leg work). Am hoping to do some upper body work and abs tonight, but am afraid of aggravating it. Anyhow, I'm not sure how bad...

Lucky Brand Jeans are for Little Bitty People

Sorry for your bad experience with Lucky Jeans. I am a smaller size, but I've definitely got a butt and thighs. I can only wear their Easy Rider style which is more of a relaxed fit. The other styles I can't even get past my thighs. So maybe you can give Lucky Jeans another chance. It should...

    ? for honeybunch

Thanks for responding honeybunch! I don't think I've heard of inverted rows before. I like the idea of doing them until I can work my way up to pull-ups (if ever), but I don't have the right equipment at home. My husband has a lat pull-down machine so that's why I thought of using that to...

    ? for honeybunch

Hey honeybunch, I notice you post a lot of advice regarding push-ups, pull-ups, etc. In fact I have printed out many of your posts and links to doing pull-ups. I have a bunch of questions for you. Do you do chin-ups or pull-ups? Between reps, do you come down to the point when your...

    Supersets One-legged Squat

    >You can put your foot on a stability ball, and hold it to the >side (a bit to the front) or behind you. It's sometimes easier >to roll the ball to where you need it to be...see NY25's info >on placement...than it is to 'hop' into place with the back >foot on a step. You will probably have...

    Supersets One-legged Squat

I did Supersets yesterday (first time in a long time) because I wanted a shorter full-body workout, and this fit the bill. Anyway, does anyone else have trouble with the one-legged squats where your leg is behind you on the high step? I have such a hard time getting into a comfortable...

    Lucky Jeans

Angela, Which style did you end up getting? The only one I can wear comfortably is Easyriders. I know what you mean about spending so much on jeans, but the raves for Lucky Jeans on this site got me to try on my first pair last year and I've never had a pair of jeans that fit so good...

    Annoying Co-workers

    >Humming, whistling, singing...some people do it without even >thinking about it. And it doesn't sound that annoying (not >like teeth grinding, belching, chewing with one's mouth open, >cracking knuckles or some other sound would be). Well, I guess you have to hear it over and over and...
