What other UB workout to alternate w/PUB?

upnorthchick - CTX is one of the few weight workouts I regrettably don't have. I don't know why I've put off adding it to my collection... CollinsMom - I like MM too. Although it's been awhile since I've done it. It's a great one to split up when I don't have the time or energy to do the...

What other UB workout to alternate w/PUB?

Hi, It's been awhile since I posted. Took a little time off from working out, finally getting back into the groove. I've been doing PUB for my upper body workout, looking for suggestions on what might be good to alternate it with. I was considering the UB premixes from Supersets...

    Circuit Workouts

While I used to do use this DVD a lot when I first got it, I rarely touch it anymore. I don't do circuit workouts often, and if I do, I prefer High Step Challenge. If you don't like circuits much, I'd choose a different DVD. Like Matiana, I prefer Muscle Max for a total body weight workout.

    High Step Challenge

I like this workout too - nice well-rounded workout. I don't do it enough though. Probably because it really wears me out! I think I'll dust it off and do it this weekend!

Has anyone seen the BodyWorlds exhibit?

Oooh, thanks for the recommendation! Next time we're in Baltimore, we'll definitely try Shuckers. We've only been to the tourist trap Phillip's because we were surprisingly pleased the first few times we'd been there. We really wanted to venture out and try someplace else this time, but were...

Follow up: do you have a nail color you just can't live without?

I love to paint my toenails, but my fingernails are usually bare. If I were to paint them, something "pale sheer pinky-beige" is what I'd use. Do you have any specific recommendations?

    Jari Love--yikes

Candi, Thank you so much for all the info and sharing your routine, etc. I'm going to look into the Jari workouts you're using, esp. Ripped and Chiseled. Sounds like what I need to shake up my routine. I'm going to incorporate some of your ideas and maybe a few less calories wouldn't hurt...

Follow up: do you have a nail color you just can't live without?

Check out some of the reds from the OPI Russian collection: An Affair in Red Square Vodka & Caviar St. Petersburgundy I remember reading on makeupalley that one of those (I think the first one) was really well-liked. If you get one, let me know what you think because I've been...

    Hate to complain but....

I totally agree with you. Also agree with what kathryn said. When I do 4DS, I don't do LIS or HIS. Too frustrating. What I do is use my treadmill or rebounder while LIS or HIS is playing. Then do the weight work (or do the weights first then cardio). I should add that I'm not that...

Has anyone seen the BodyWorlds exhibit?

I missed the exhibit in DC, so DH and I took a daytrip to Baltimore, saw the exhibit, then got some yummy crab cakes. The exhibit is there until Sept. 1st. So if you get a chance, go!!

    Jari Love--yikes

Can you please share what kind of rotation you've been doing to get such good results? Which Jari videos do you have? Based on all the reviews I read, I bought RTTC many months ago, and it's ok. I'm spoiled by Cathe so it's hard for me to warm up to other instructors. But that won't keep me...

Has anyone seen the BodyWorlds exhibit?

NY25 - I agree with it being the best museum exhibit I've ever seen. Nan - that's funny about your hubby almost losing his breakfast. I can't watch any surgery-type shows, but this didn't bother me at all. Except when we went to eat afterwards, I started thinking about some of it and felt a...

Has anyone seen the BodyWorlds exhibit?

Hi Jean, I haven't heard of that exhibit. Is it a permanent exhibit or is it a traveling one? It's hard to pick out what was most interesting. The BodyWorlds exhibit also had the different stages of an unborn baby. Really made me contemplate the "miracle of life". It's really remarkable...

Has anyone seen the BodyWorlds exhibit?

Hi Gayle, Glad to see someone else found it as intriguing as me. I totally agree about seeing the muscles, ligaments, etc. I would think that for those that exercise, it'd be neat to see all the different muscles we're working out. I especially wanted DH to see the lungs that were...

    short workout

This isn't really the answer you're looking for, but if I only have 40 min to do a weight workout, I'd do just upper or lower (i.e. either the upper or lower body premix of Muscle Max). Or maybe do the lower body portion with some pushups, pullups and dips. ETA: as far as I know, Cathe...

Has anyone seen the BodyWorlds exhibit?

DH and I went and saw the BodyWorlds 2 exhibit last weekend in Baltimore. Since it's one of those traveling exhibits and has been all over the country, I was curious if anyone else has seen this and what you thought of it. It's a controversial exhibit, but I'm glad I saw it. Very...
