What kind of workouts do you do? And what is your daily rotation?

I generally do splits of cardio some days and weights others, but I like to try to throw in a circuit workout once a week or so.

I need help with Core Max segment #2

You can also reduce the length of your lever (legs) - bend your knees and hold the ball between your knees. Shorter lever and reduced ROM will reduce the intensity of the exercise. As you get stronger you can straighten your legs and use a larger ROM. That's a tough move!

Star dust/Annie - ? about exercise equipment suppliers in UK

Hi there! Where do you buy your exercise equipment? I've only been able to find a Reebok Step, no High Step at all. I've also not had great luck finding dumbbells or barbells. I'm making do w/ various dumbbells now and it's fine, but I'm planning on going on an equipment buying spree when we...

    All endurance runners

I think Leaner Legs is on the Crosstrain Express DVD. It was available on its own as a VHS at one point, but I don't know if it still is.

Has anyone traveled between London and the US lately?

RE: Has anyone traveled between London and the US latel... Hi Shelbygirl! Jeans are quite acceptable in London, if they are 'nice' jeans. That's my opinion, though - I see a lot of scruffy jeans in London, but I don't like that look.:-) I wear jeans and boots or heels a lot in the city. It's...

Prayers and Hugs for Wil, please...

Melody, I will certainly keep you and Wil in my prayers. I have an 8 yo boy too - aren't they the best?:-) My little guy had a mishap and fractured his wrist and is in a cast for at least a couple weeks and isn't happy about it at all. Then I read Wil's story and am reminded what a very, very...

Legs really sore today from running - should I lift?

Owwwww! I did Push Pull today, skipping some of the leg stuff (lunges and leg presses) and doing no weight squats, deadlifts as normal (since my hams aren't sore.) If anything, I am more sore this evening than yesterday! I'm hoping it's just the DOMS working itself out - we'll see how I feel in...

Has anyone traveled between London and the US lately?

The Heathrow Express is a quicker way into central London, rather than the Tube. Heathrow Express is direct to London Paddington station, then just get on the tube. You'll have to change lines at least once either way (Express or regular Tube,) but the maps are pretty easy to figure out. Try...

Legs really sore today from running - should I lift?

Thanks for the great advice everyone! I think my next run/walk will be Saturday, as DH is out of town until late Friday night, so I can't leave my little broken-armed guy alone in the house! That should be enough time for rest, don't you think? School starts Tuesday, though, so I should be able...

Legs really sore today from running - should I lift?

    >What time do you get out of bed???? >I would skip the legs. Stretch the shins and legs. Just go >upper body crazy today and maybe abs. >Anne I usually get up around 7.30. I'm planning on working out later this afternoon, before dinner. I spent half the day in the ER w/ my 8 yo son -...

Legs really sore today from running - should I lift?

Ooof! I went running yesterday for the first time in many years (yeah me:D ) and I knew I would be sore, but my quads, hip flexors and shins are really sore today (DOMS.) I was planning on doing weights today - just got Push Pull & Supersets. Should I skip legs? Or just take it as I find it and...

Starting running - wish me luck!

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone! I went to a specialist running store today and the guy check out my feet, my gait (walking and jogging) and asked about any past injuries. He then recommended three different pair in my price range, I tried them on and picked the ones that felt the best...

Starting running - wish me luck!

I'm going to try running for some cardio today - it's been years since I've run, but I was going to pick up the papers the other day and jogged to the corner store and it felt great! So I decided to go get myself a proper pair of running shoes and start walking/running and see how it goes. A lot...

What are your favorite spice mixes?

I really like to use harissa paste on chicken. Harissa is Morrocan - I find it either in the spice section w/ other spice mixes/rubs, or in the ethnic sections. It's spicy and yummy!
