I MUST be insane (and lazy)

Since I cannot carry Clare around in my pocket, I will have to content myself with printing out her post and carrying *that* around in my pocket.

I MUST be insane (and lazy)

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I don't think I'm a sedentary person. My typical day is teaching at an elementary school. After school I get home and walk the dog-that can take anywhere from a half hour to an hour, depending on where we go. After that it's off to the barn to ride the...

    Pet fish recommendation please!

I know you've gotten many good answers but I just wanted to add that when I had my own little aquarium, I found the mollies to be too aggressive with the more docile fish to the point that the quieter fish hid out in the greenery most of the time. I rarely saw them swimming out in the open. I...

How to start again after a month off

I would love to hear other's thoughts since I seem to be at a fitness 'dead end'.

    Any Thoughts on Brown Rice?

Oh, this is good news! Yay!Rice!

I MUST be insane (and lazy)

...because I keep making the same mistakes, continue making the wrong diet choices, exercising with all the enthusiasm of a rock (when I do exercise), and still expect a different result. I am hopelessly addicted to sugar. I don't know how to stop. I mean, I do know how to stop, but I give...

    Are you still eating rice?

With all the new information out about arsenic in rice, I'm wondering if you're keeping it as a part of your diet. I really love brown rice, but apparently it has the most arsenic of all. :(

    CANCER AWARENESS

I'm shocked. This is horrible. I can't even think right now. It's so not fair. Why do the good die young? Why? Somebody please explain this to me.

    Workout Rant: I Hate Drills!

I HATE HATE HATE drills too. Especially the bouncy bouncy ones (tuck jumps anyone? Yuck.) I'm 45 years old and I'm wondering why I have to pound on my body to get minimal results. Just what I look forward to - uncomfortable, questionably-helpful-to-me, possibly harmful repetitive movements...

    CANCER AWARENESS

In 2005 I was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. After two years of traditional treatment (chemo-mastectomy-radiation), I am now NED - No Evidence of Disease. Cancer is an INCREDIBLY difficult disease to treat. It is unique to each person who has it. My Stage III breast cancer is not...

    Tai Cheng Anyone?

I very much enjoyed tai chi classes when I took them. I also took qi gong, which was quite a challenge. I've heard tai chi called 'moving meditation'.

    Tai Cheng Anyone?

Fitbyfifty, but if you move in a mirror image to what the instructor is doing (in addition to the incorrect cueing) you've learned the whole form backwards.

    Tai Cheng Anyone?

The problem I always found with tai chi videos is that because you face the instructor, you are taught the moves backwards. In a live class you are behind your instructor and move with him/her. Does this video set have that same problem? If not, how do they accommodate for it? Thanks!

    Psst - Can we talk...panties?

I'm getting really confused! :o Riding - riding horses, not panties riding up my butt! And I'm not looking for granny underwear, heavens no! Plus, I'm not concerned with panty lines. :) So no one here has ever tried the Patagonia panties so we don't know if they really wick away...

    Psst - Can we talk...panties?

I need something to wick the sweat away. I've accepted panty lines as a reality of my life -oh, well! That's why I originally asked if the Patagonia panties were worth $20. Do they really wick the sweat away and, well, will they keep me from feeling as icky as I do with cotton or nylon panties?

    Psst - Can we talk...panties?

But it's the sweating I want to hide. Riding without anything to protect my lady-parts and to have booty floss between my cheeks (the downstairs pair)? It's just not going to happen! And the chafing from all that bouncing around! Augh!

    Psst - Can we talk...panties?

But any underwear recommendations for riding?

    Psst - Can we talk...panties?

It's more a matter of the sweating through the workout pants (or riding breeches, as the case may be) and it just feels.., yucky. No way am I riding without some kind of undies! The sitting trot kills as it is! :-)

    Psst - Can we talk...panties?

:o Seriously, best workout panties? Hipster suggestions most sought but anything is welcome. Are Patagonia's worth the money - $20/pair? Thanks!

    My skin - what happened?

"A friend of mine refers to working out as 'paying the rent' -" That's a very good way of putting it! Exercise is boring, the newest Cathe workouts are uninspiring anymore (something shifted during the whole STS phase and I haven't felt welcome/comfortable doing her workouts since then. I...
