    Anyone Ever Try These Products?

I saw the review on Amazon where someone liked the Body Back Buddy better. Hmmm . . . say that 10 times fast. Anyway, please give us your review. I placed it on my wish list this morning.

    Interesting article on pushups

Yes, thank you for posting. I got the Gym Styles in 2005, and yesterday was the first time I was able to do the entire drop set of push-ups on my toes without extended breaks. Now, about pullups . . .:o

    For Fellow Slow Runners

Probably the only time I will pass other runners: I went running on the trail by my home yesterday and ended up in the tail end of a Memorial Day Classic. I was on a 4-mile tempo run, they were finishing up a half-marathon. ;)

    Yet Another Insanity Thread

Thanks, everyone! I truly appreciate your honest opinions. I'm FINALLY making some significant progress after a plateau. so I think I'll 'go with my gut' and take a pass on Insanity. Cathe and running make me happy. At this point in my life, I just don't want to dread working out or take...

    Yet Another Insanity Thread

Thank you, everyone, for your replies. They helped a LOT. I did have plantar fasciitis last year and it's doing fine now, so that does give me pause. Thanks again for taking the time to give me your opinions and experiences.

How to make changes to a rotation in Workout Manager

If there is a way, I'd like to know about it. I've had to manually adjust by dragging and dropping--takes a while. It really would be helpful to be able to make changes to a long rotation, like if you get sick or something comes up in your life.

    Great thrift store fitness finds????.?

Many moons ago when I was a "Firmie" and getting disenchanted with their new productions (after the split), I came across mention of Cathe on the Collage forums. While I was researching her, I found 3 of her VHS tapes at a local thrift shop (Step Works, Body Max and Power Max). I actually...

    Yet Another Insanity Thread

I am still on the fence about "Insanity". But every time it is mentioned in this forum, I am sorely tempted.:o I just wonder if it is worth the investment for me. Part of me is going crazy knowing there is a challenge out there that I haven't tried, and I'm wondering if "Insanity" would be...

    Help me cleanup my diet

Thanks for the post--these are great suggestions. I wanted to add cucumbers to the list. Our temperature here temporarily jumped from the 60's to the 90's; and chilled, sliced cucumbers are soooo yummy and refreshing. Plus, you can munch away until you are full for next to no calories. :D...

    Barbell Suggestions?

I just wanted to add to check the weight of the actual bar on the set you end up purchasing. Mine is 10lbs, while the Troy Lite bar is 5lbs. Consequently, I have to adjust my plates to use the same weight as Cathe does in the workouts.

    Barbell Suggestions?

If I could, I would get the Troy Lite barbell. But I could never find one locally, and the shipping costs were too much. Hopefully, someone can give you some good info. Good luck!

    Happy Mother's Day

Thank you, Cathe. My 15-year-old daughter surprised me with some "healthy" brownies she had made: whole wheat flour, dark chocolate, and Eggland's best eggs.

Great post. I think Cathe is an equal opportunity exerciser. If you can keep up with her, you're in. :p

    calories burned during workout

Years ago, I had a cheap HR monitor that I got from a local sporting goods store. It had vastly inflated numbers. I invested in a Polar, and the numbers were much more accurate. Usually I'm really close to the Workout Manager numbers, but sometimes the WM is higher (especially with strength...
