    My dogs stink!

We have two big dogs...over 60 lbs each. My DD figured out a way to bathe them without them running away. She puts a leash on them and shuts the leash in the car door. That way the dogs can't get away, and she can use the hose on them. Then they come in the house and run their ears on the...

    Pre-Order Add-On

I have to say that I simply could not live without the gym style series (I know you said that you don't want a whole series, but imo these are worth the money). They are awesome, and they use the bands too. Laura

What is Your Biggest Pet Peeve?

My biggest pet peeve is very close to the gum smacking peeve, but it differs slightly. It is people who make noise while eating (I call it schmultzing). It's like chewing noisily, and making a noise when you open your mouth to chew. All I can picture is the food being smushed in the mouth and...

    Favorite childhood food?

This is going to sound gross, but I loved when my grandmother and I made chocolate chip cookies, and you know when the sugar is creamed with the butter, and you add the eggs, but before the flour goes in, thats what I used to LOVE to eat! It was sooo sugary and creamy at the same time. My...

What was the Worst Date You've Ever Had?

As I'm laughing at all of these stories, I remembered one really bad date that I had during college. I was waitressing one summer and thought the boy who helped the cook was cute. To my surprise, he asked me out. I met him at home and after hanging out, he started kissing me. I don't know...

    Biggest Loser- totally disillusioned!!! :-(

You know, I knew that they were exercising for hours a day, and that this was unrealistic, but I didn't know about the other methods they were employing to lose. I still think that the show has a good basic message though. I think that it is impressive to lose all that weight, but even more...

Low Max on a 6" step

RE: Low Max on a 6 WOW, this is really surprising to me. I thought that because it was low impact, that it should be done on the taller step 'cause otherwise it would be too easy. I'll have to try it. My poor knees will probably thank me. Lately though, everything from my hips to my elbows...

    Donate Blood

I DO donate blood to our church when they have a blood drive there. I don't do much volunteering (and feel quite guilty about it), but this is one small way that I feel like I'm helping others. You're right, it doesn't hurt too much and it only takes about an hour. Please try to give. Laura

When people ask fitness advice....and then don't like t...

Just this morning, someone came to me asking my advice because she couldn't lose weight (she just hit 40) when usually all she had to do was diet a little. I told her that dieting was only half of the equation, and that she really should add exercise to her regimen, emphasizing weight lifting...

Never Never Never! There are just too many kitties that need homes out there. Go to your local shelter and it will break you heart how many beautiful cats are in their cages waiting for a person to adopt them. Laura

    What's your favorite fruit?

Has anyone had concord grapes? They are hands down my favorite fruit. You can only get them in the fall, though. I buy them by the quart and eat about one a day until they are gone. Yum Yum!

Yes, for the last couple of weeks, I have experienced this too! Terrible, awful, horrible gas (my poor kids and DH). I think the advice posted above is good...keep a food journal because I traced it back to the bread that I was eating (very high fiber). I also found that yogurt did help...
