    90 day supreme

Most workouts are about 1/2 hour. Their warm-up is about 5 minutes and I never do their stretch, so not sure, another 5? So 40 minutes most days. Tabata is a bit longer, 37 minutes IIRC.

    Cleanse/Detox Question

Everything I've read about them is they are unnecessary and a bad idea. I would tell her to eat a lot of fiber and drink a lot of water if she wants to clense. 1/2 your body weight in fluid ounces is the general recommendation, but more doesn't hurt. Fiber -aim for more than 25 (ack, the unit...

    90 day supreme

I've done about a month of S90 and so far I think the cardio and abs shine more than the weight work. I am seriously thinking of doing the P90X weight work mixed with the S90 cardio/abs. Not having tried all the workouts yet, it is too early to say, but just counting the tabata, ultimate ball...

Planning Hawaii trip - need opinions

I've been to most of the major islands: Hawaii (the Big Island), Maui, Kauai, Oahu, and my favorite was Maui. This surprised me because I was expecting the Big Island to be my favorite. With only 7 days, I would pick just one island. You can fly directly into all of the islands now, for...

    STS.... in reverse?

I might be interested in joining a check-in for this. I kind of like the "pyramid" concept!

which ipod download to get for the gym

STS might be the most versatile download for the gym. Since it uses a lot of equipment, it might save you from buying new stuff. Also, for Meso 3, and chest work in Meso 2, I needed a spotter. I had DH do this for me, but at a gym there would probably be someone to help you there. Also, you...

Help! Brain Freeze w/ starting STS

The changing weights does get easier with time. The first time I did Meso 1, I was always pausing. I've done it three times now (twice with a 5.5 month rotation, so really 5 times) and the last couple of times I did not have to pause at all. I do have pace weights which are easier, I think...

    Between Rounds

circuit training is my favorite so I always find myself doing that after STS. Also, more cardio in general since I tend to slack on cardio while doing STS, but that's just me :p

STS 3.5 month vs 6.5 month roatation

I like the 5.5 month rotation since you can really learn the workouts and also because you can start with the right side one week, then the left side in the second week. Once you really know the workouts, the 30 second break in Meso 1 seems plenty long, whereas the first time through 30 seconds...

    HIIT workouts

If you did the plyo leg workouts from STS without doing the weight segments, that would be very much like the HIIT workouts.

    Using cable with iPhone

What I purchased was the AV Digital Adapter (meant for Ipad but also works with the phone) and I also had to get an HDMI cable. This device will mirror everything on your Ipad to the TV, but I mainly got it to display downloads onto my TV.

    Colorado Or Bust

I live in Evergreen, a mountain suburb of Denver, but my brother is in Monument, just north of the Springs. I think you'd find the weather in Colorado to be awesome. It's a secret I don't like to get out because folks have this perception that Colorado is cold, but even living in the...

    Plyo legs - oh my!

I was going to say the same thing. In the subsequent plyo workouts, even though some of the footage is repeated, there does seem to be more rest time which makes the workouts easier. The first one just seems more compressed and therefore harder.

Do you prefer downloads or physical DVDs?

I'm getting an Ipad soon and would like to know what the process is. Are you able to just import the downloads into ITunes and then onto the device? I might switch to downloads it it's simple! I would probably also get a connector to the TV since the screen is so much larger.

    Vegan/vegetarian kids?

I eat a lot of Indian food which for me is the most satisfying vegan food available (I'm not vegan, but like to dabble in it from time to time :p). From my reading, Indian children are introduced to the spiciness of that cuisine gradually, where the dishes are made with little spice that is...

Looking for a new mattress .... anyone?

I have a latex mattress. We went with that because they DON'T sleep hot the way memory foam ones do. That is because latex responds to pressure whereas memory foam responds to body heat. We like ours a lot. They are customizable with layers of different firmness that you assemble for...

    Notebook? I-pad?

I don't have an Ipad, but they are apparently awesome for travel. One of the beauties of the Ipad is that it syncs with your Iphone (do have that, love it!!) and if you have a mac (I don't) if you have that at home. Not for sure, but don't think you can easily print from these devices?? One...

    new vegetarian

I am not vegetarian, but normally go on a stint once or twice a year. Mark Bittman's book "How to Cook Everything Vegetarian" and Deborah Madison's "Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone" are two good places to start collecting recipes. I also recommend learning to cook Indian food as it can easily...
