    Interesting things about you

Shelley, I've melted plastic plates before due to lack of counterspace. I'd turn on the burner on which I set the plate, not the one on which I set the pan. Doh! These days all our plates are ceramic. :) Pinky

    Interesting things about you

Cool thread! * The older I get, the more I dislike shopping. * I have a paper addiction. * Before I go to sleep, I have to see what's on CourtTV and A&E. * I think Alton Brown is cute. He's nerdy, funny, sarcastic and knows his way around the kitchen. My kind of guy. * I can't cook to...

    Clean eating and fruit

Let's see... I eat fruit ALL THE TIME. I don't measure my servings but I do make sure to have protein with it. There's a big difference between eating one apple and feasting on an entire crate of apples. There's also a big difference between eating something in its natural state and eating...

Ok - Puzzle mat floor users

Lorrie, the mats were $140 a set, a bit pricey but worth every penny. It has some kind of hard rubber(?) veneer/coating on it that's very easy to clean. I use a Pledge Grab-It with the dry cloth. It only takes a few seconds to cleen. My surface underneath is carpet, which is why the edges of...

Ok - Puzzle mat floor users

Oh, I love them! I am never going to work out on any other surface again. I got mine here: http://www.greatmats.com/products/martial-arts-mats-1.html I got two of the 16-piece sets. I needed half a set to completely cover my workout space, which is roughly 8x6. I had to cut out two pieces in...

    Lessons from Fathers

*Don't depend on other people to do things for you. If you can, do. *Moderation is key; nothing over much. *Stay in school. Knowlege is power. *BUT don't pretend to know more than you do. That's stupid. And people see through that. *Temper your temper, especially when you're packing heat...

    Just Curious.... Does Anyone?

    >HOWEVER, I can almost guarantee that when Cathe is not >filming she lifts a heck of a lot heavier than what she >does on her DVD/VHS/FIT TV workouts. Most of her upper body >workouts are endurance based and this translates to lower >weight with many reps and minimal rest between sets...

    Honeybunch...

Yesterday I got tired of doing CTX-UB so I switched things up. For chest work, I used the idea of Cathe's GS push-ups but instead of starting with 16 reps, I started with 20 and shaved off 2 reps per set. I had to take a longer rest after the set of 12 push-ups, but I did all 110 of them on my...

    p90x yoga

I've done only beginner yoga workouts before trying P90X Yoga, so I can say that compared to the beginner workouts, P90X is tough. However, I can't compare them with the harder workouts by other instructors in the market. I love P90X Yoga because it seems to go faster than others I've tried...
