    Getting older/ No kids

    >I have a daughter but I would never assume she would take >care of me in my old age. I would never burden her with that. > > >I welcome an assisted living facility so I can remain >independent! Ditto. I have two kids, but I would not want to burden them either.

    "Where does the weight go?"

RE: When we say "burn it off" we really burn the fat off ( that provides energy) in the presence of oxygen that we breathe in and the waste is what you breath out, carbon dioxide.

    stretch marks

Well, I feel just about the same as you. I was doing some plyo too against everything advised! LOL Can't believe how nice it is to go through the day pain free. And just how much energy pain sucked out before.... I think I'm done running, I had way too many marathons. But I spend a lot of time...

Anyone else think that Jari's R&C is bo-rrrring?

I just couldn't listen to her annoying "motivational" speaches and about the "burning carbs" nonsense. Her first workout was OK, I think I still have it, but I got rid of the rest of the DVDs pretty soon after doing them once.

on your own or with cathe?

Lately I've been doing a lot of weights using "istrength" from iballet. I came to really like audio workouts - I can watch movies on mute with subtitles!

    Your house rules for teens

I have an almost 17y daughter and an almost 20y son. So far so good. The carrot and the stick together goes a long way in our home. They have a lot of privileges, but they know the rules. ALWAYS let me know where you are. And it is not just a parental thing, but common courtesy, and they somehow...

    Any Personal Trainers out there???

It helps a lot if you are visible, even if you only train your friends or relatives for free. When gym members see you in action, they are more likely to approach you, specially if they like what they see. I have at least 3 clients who came up to me after seeing me training other people. When...

Should kids be forced to take Piano lessons?

I was also sort of "forced" to take piano lessons. I did not hate them but never really enjoyed them either. At that time I swore that if I ever have kids I'll never force them to play any instruments unless they want to. Now, both of my kids are playing something and my daughter wants to take...

    Kelly Coffey-Meyer DVDS

I just did "NYC a New You Coming" for the first time yesterday. It is a well rounded workout, very fast paced light/moderate weights. My hr was up all the time and at the end I felt I had a good workout. About 45 min long. The only thing that bothered me was her being off beat occasionally.
