Supine extensions are much more difficult for me, as well as cross-body. For both of these moves, I struggle to keep my elbows really still.
With overhead extensions, I often wonder if the work is being distributed evenly between the two hands, so I usually switch hand positions from one set...
I'm kind of doing the same thing right now while I'm in between finishing STS and waiting for Cathe's new DVDs. Yesterday, I did Karen Voigt's Ultimate Step Workout (I think it used to be called Cardio Strength). A few years ago, this used to be "the hard one". Yesterday, I didn't even have to...
I still remember a compliment I received in 2nd Grade from a boy who was sitting behind me on the school bus. He touched my hair, and said it felt like silk.
You're right. Punctuation exists to serve a purpose.
Have you ever seen videos of Victor Borge doing his act on verbal punctuation? Essentially, his joke was that we can't even understand each other when we speak, so we should therefore make sounds and hand signals while we talk to indicate...
Cheese. I haven't given it up entirely, but I really only have an occasional wedge of Laughing Cow lite, or some Swiss on a Subway veggie. But what I miss is a French baguette with some great soft cheese . . . and plenty of it.
Sigh.
Dela, I agree with your comparisons, especially the level being similar to CCC. I would say it's just a bit less intense than HIIT, but as you wrote, Peak 10 is longer so it does add up. I was sweating like crazy by the end. You're right also that Peak 10 Cardio Strength is a bit more focused on...
I used to work out with Michelle Dozois and Tracey York a lot -- until I graduated to Cathe!
I've done the Peak 10 Cardio Strength so far, and loved it! It's really much more advanced than any other Michelle workouts I know of. Haven't done Cardio Interval Burn yet, but I'm looking forward to...
Well, as a snack, I have actually eaten them out of the shell, with some hot sauce or salsa poured into the "bowl".
Mostly, I use them in salads, but I also put them in a cold salad of black beans, corn, and pico de gallo (salsa).
Yeah, well sometimes mine falls on Thanksgiving. Just try to get people to join in on birthday cake when they're already stuffed.
I think once we all get our new DVD's in our hands, we'll have lots to talk about.
No advice here either, but I just wanted to say I feel your pain about your neighbors. Mine aren't quite that bad (no taking photos or calling police), but they are terribly inconsiderate about their undisciplined kids making incredible amounts of noise (high-pitched screaming, etc). The mom's...
Treats! Use treats to hold his attention initially, but then also to reward him when he behaves correctly. Use small pieces of something soft so that he doesn't start gaining weight, of course. Training is particularly effective when the treat is something he really likes but doesn't normally...
Yes, I've had this for many years, but have never asked a doctor about it. It happens to me mostly doing supine leg lifts one leg at a time. Usually I can get it to stop by just moving my leg a little bit left or right, or "turning" it inward a bit.
It's good to have a name for it though, NY25.
Runfree, thanks for the info. I'm gonna check it out. I've been stuck at about 130 to 133 for ages, so maybe this will help.
Cindi, I've downloaded a few episodes of the podcast you mentioned, including the Jackie Warner one. This looks like a good series. (If anyone needs help finding the...
Yesterday evening after doing Plyo Legs #3, I wanted to add on a quick Ab workout. I found this great 8-minute Abs chapter in Slow & Heavy Triceps & Biceps. It's really fantastic -- check it out sometime.
Oh -- btw, what's with the ONE-legged squat-thrust-jumps in Plyo Legs #3?? Talk about...
