How about some happy dog stories? (Long)

I am loving all the stories here. I have a heroic one too. Lucy was just a puppy, maybe three months old, when we were in the middle of nowhere visiting my husband at his work camp. The kids were 4 and 7 and had been in the van for 5 hours driving so I wanted to go for a stroll to burn some...

for all you dog owners out there would you?

I did the right thing! As I sit here blubbering on this Christmas 2009, I know I did the right thing for my baby. The vet phoned and told my DH that she had a bladder tumor that was inoperable. You wouldn't have access to it at all as a doctor. It was her time and last night as I lay...

for all you dog owners out there would you?

R.I.P. Lucy Well I am devested to say that we lost Lucy this Christmas morning. She was suffering terribly and the vet was completely stumped. He said whatever it was most likely going to kill her anyway and agreed the best and most loving thing to do was let her go. So she is on the other...

for all you dog owners out there would you?

Well Lucy didn't eat it after all. I found the vomit under the bed. She is still really sick. I talked to the vet on the phone after I tried to get her out and she was BARELY able to walk. She was also panting rapidly and it's not even hot in here. I cried and realized this is so bad. He...

for all you dog owners out there would you?

It didn't. It came back with elevated white blood cells but that is all. She is very sick. I am thinking something happened at the vet's yesterday (the first visit) because when I brought her in she had vomited a small bit of bile and had a few spots of pee in the house and a pooh but was...

for all you dog owners out there would you?

Thanks everyone for your input. I am just now returning from a third opinion. I talked to the first vet who treated the initial infection. She recommended yesterday that I go into a clinic because of the vomiting, peeing excessively etc. (She is a travelling vet who does not do many things...

I have both of them and I love Mindy (not quite as much as Cathe but close :) ). She is a little fireball of energy and is in awesome shape. I have a Bosu (obviously) and am always looking for new workouts to try. She is by far my favourite Bosu instructor. I did the total body one today for...
