    Skinny Jeans

It depends. I think that curvy gals can look good in them, but it's better if the curves are in the rear, and not the thighs. I think being bigger is ok, but not flabby. If you notice the links, the ladies pictured aren't stick skinny, but they don't have saddlebags, either.

how much do you/would you pay

I'm a hairstylist in Philly. I think that mandatory tipping is nuts. Usually a 20% tip is good for the stylist, and then $3-5 to the shampoo person/assistant. If the assistant applied color or did a blow-dry,then tip more. Also, tip the assistant directly. Some stylists do not properly tip...

Congrats on your upcoming reunions, ladies! My DH will be doing Korea unaccompanied for 2 years soon, and I'm just trying to focus on reunions.

    Emergency slim down?!

Also, get a great haircut and/or professional style and makeup application. Wear some fab yet relatively comfy heels as well. You probably won't lose 10 lbs, but with clean eating, intense workouts, and feeling your best with a little professional grooming and updating will make you smile...

    Slim In 6 vs Insanity

ITA--boring. I have SIS and SS. I am doing a quickie "rotation" of these with YBB just to get back into the swing of working out while recovering from knee surgery. They are low impact, but lots of lunges and plies, which I just modify. My rotation basically consists of alternating the two...

    Really Oily skin

Looks like an acne-treatment line. Ironically, my acne has really cleared up after using her other products.

Is there a quick fix for drooping eyelids?

The weird thing is that I used to use Quickliner, and it would transfer easily. The wet shadow almost turns into a dry ink, or something. For me, it really lasts longer, and my eyelids are oilier than Saudi Arabia.

How old do you think a girl should be before...

If you're going to wax, I'd recommend taking her to a professional, first. Then, practice on yourself a few times before waxing her.

    Are you a nurse?

Many colleges require a day of shadowing a worker at the hospital in your desired area of study prior to entering the program. I'm in school for radiologic technology, and I had a great RT to shadow. I'd definitely suggest finding out how to shadow a nurse for a day to at least give you an...

    Really Oily skin

I use Paula's Choice balancing cleanser every night and every other am. On alternate mornings, I use a gentle exfoliating cleanser. At night, I use Neutrogena anti-acne/anti-wrinkle cream--just a very small amt! For makeup, I make my own tinted moisturizer by using PC mattifying spf 15...

HELP NEEDED FROM RICE COOKING EXPERTS!

I cook brown basmati rice on the stove top. I usually cook it in chicken stock with some lemon juice. I think the acidity of the lemon helps the liquid penetrate the outer bran. Brown rice has been one of the most difficult healthy transitions because I also love Japanese style white rice...

Is there a quick fix for drooping eyelids?

I have the same issue because I have deep-set eyes and my eyelashes touch the area just under the eyebrows. The only mascara I can use which won't transfer is Clinique Lash Power. I love that it has a small brush, so it's easier to get each lash. Instead of eyeliner, I use Bobbi Brown eye...

    question for hairdresses

I must say that I loooooooooove B&B. Prep, Tonic, Sumotech, Does it All Spray are my absolute favorites! I just really don't have the opportunity to get it. B&B isn't available at a professional beauty supply, they are a direct supplier to salons. Since I'm a licensed stylist, and can buy...

    question for hairdresses

Shampooing is good to remove excess oils, dirt, styling products. Sweat is water soluble and will rinse out with just water. How often you shampoo is also relative to your hair type. Some people with really fine and greasy hair really do need to shampoo every day. The less you can shampoo...

    question for hairdresses

Have you seen a dermatologist about dandruff? Sometimes their solutions are better than the ones we come up with. Good call on staying away from Selsun Blue. It's so filled with selenium that I'm convinced that it gave my step-dad Parkinson's. With all the products I had access to, the only...

B-Slim Fast Extra Protein, honey bunches of oats with almonds L-Fiber Plus Bar & String cheese S-apple cinnamon buttercake (1 bar) D-2 oz filet mignon w/zip sauce, Bell's Oberon beer --probably having a small Greek salad later if I'm hungry

iphone or blackberry -- which one do u prefer?

Well, I've only used a Blackberry, but I love it. I've heard that touch screens can be kind of a pain. I also chose Blackberry because I didn't want to be stuck with AT&T mobile service. Good luck in whatever you choose!

    question for hairdresses

The Fekkai people used to come to our salon for training. A lot of their products are awesome! Just be careful with the protein stuff. Too much protein can actually cause breakage by making the hair brittle, and by making thicker parts along the strand which is a fulcrum for the thinner part...

    question for hairdresses

Well, I condition-then-shampoo every other day, and then once per week, I shampoo then deep condition. A deep conditioner is going to be more intensive and will help to protect and moisturize the hair. It's usually thicker. Right now, I'm using a crazy mix of products because I used to be a...
