    Question for clarisonic mia users

Like NY25, I use mine to wash my face and I think it does a great job. I don't use a lot of heavy makeup, though. I use a gentle cleanser by Estee Lauder instead of the clarisonic cleansers, too, because it isn't as drying. (I have the classic one, not the mia, but I don't think that matters.)

    Steamers by Joy Mangano???

Hilarious!! And good for you for passing your wet washcloth remedy on to your daughter. She shouldn't get stuck with the ironing. I grew up before the "permanent press" era and was one of the older girls in a family of nine children. I remember starching items and rolling them in a ball and...

When did w/o pants suddenly become so LONG?

Laura, I have noticed this, too. I am sorry for you, but I have the opposite problem (I am 5'7") and am very happy about any additional length in pants (and tops) of any kind.

    Clarisonic Cleansers and Lotion

As far as I know, Clarisonic does not sell anything actually labeled as a "moisturizer." They do sell two serums, though--one is for use with their Opal, and the other is Dr. Robb's renewal serum, which can be used "alone or with a moisturizer." If your skin is dry, you would probably need to...

    Anyone try Strivectin for wrinkles?

I tried it years ago, and I did not think it was effective at all. But I am 61, and age might be a factor, as well as differences in particular skin issues. Is there any way you can get a sample somewhere and try it? Sometimes skinstore.com and spalook.com offer samples or special deals on...

    Coconut Oil

I realize this thread is about coconut oil, but I thought these coconut wraps might interest some of you. The ingredients are coconut meat, coconut water and Himalayan salt (and curry in the curry flavored one). They are a bit pricey, but very good. I have only tried the original ones...

    The FIRM 500 cal workout

Same here. I credit the earlier Firm tapes with helping me keep in shape during the 80's and into the 90's. But when they changed hands, the quality of their workouts--in all respects--went downhill. I, too, got up to the transfirmer stage, but that was the beginning of the end for me as far...

    Wrists hurt while doing push-ups

I agree with the suggestion of the Perfect Pushup. These work well because they rotate and allow you to adjust your wrist placement even as you are performing the pushup. The suggestion of using a dumbbell is also a good one--or you can purchase a pair of pushup bars (there are many, just do...

    The Firm Volume 1

I think the ones in the wood library were Strength with Pam Merriweather and Super Cardio (or something like that) that was pretty tough. They were paired sort of like the Tortoise and the Hare. Strength was one of my faves, along with Boomers and the one with Sandahl Bergman. I appreciated...
