    Abs or Muscle

Hi Cathe, I'm one of your many admirers :-)at 4 Seasons who does Body Pump once a week for the overall workout and muscle conditioning. I lift normal weights 3 times a week and try to bike and run enough to burn off the fat that is so easy to get when you're over 40. My question is this: I...

    Impatient!

Sorry I had to leave early last Friday, but you know I only do BP once a week anyway. Do you think I'm spending my time wisely doing BP once a week for a guy like me? I lift and do cardio the other three times a week. I also like to ride my bike when I can't make it to the gym. Steve

    Body Pump continued

Before I get to the point of this posting let me say that one of the reasons I continue to do Body Pump once a week as a change-up from regular weightlifting is because of the great "scenery" in the front of the workout room--instructors like you and Rhonda (before she moved)! But I was...

    Body Pump

Hi Cathe, I got lots of suggestions from other members about what to do about using a longer bar. I know Body Pump is picky about using other kinds of equipment. And the suggestions about using a regular weightlifting bar might work, but I think they'd be too heavy for the 100X reps we do on...

Oh yeah! Do you belong to 4 Seasons? Her Body Pump classes really work deep muscle fibers! Where do you work out?

    Body Pump

I do Body Pump once a week as a change-up from regular weights which I do 3X a week. As a guy I find the bar too short for doing chest. The weights bang my elbows on the negative movement and the closer grip seems to put more stress on my shoulders. Do you think they'll ever provide longer...
