- After the birth of my 3rd child, I developed thyroiditis. It took several months to find the correct medication and subsequently, I was 187 lbs on a 5'6" frame. After a weekend with some extended family members and saw how fat I was in pictures, I decided to do something about it. I had always been in good shape prior to pregnancy, so I didn't feel as "fat" as I looked. I joined Weight Watchers and lost 40 lbs. I've kept the weight off for about 5 years now. I'm still heavier than I was pre-pregnancy, however, I feel like I'm in better shape because of Cathe.
