I live in western Massachusetts but grew up in Chicago and still think of it as my hometown, have two rambunctious golden retrievers named Murray and Moose, enjoy storm spotting (I have silly weather gadgets everywhere), nonfiction books, psychology, politics, movies, puzzles and most games in general (my favorites are anything to do with words). I have degrees in Psychology, Business, Computer Programming and Legal Studies and had hoped to get a PhD in Neuroscience; I loved the advanced courses but Chemistry and I didn't mix well (no pun intended). I always enjoy meeting new people and trying new things; recently it's been geocaching, which is a combination of hiking and a scavenger hunt. I'm beginning to ramble so I'll shut up now! :)

Why I love doing Cathe Workouts
They're challenging and I'm amazed at how much stronger I've become! I never thought I'd be able to do a push-up, let alone 20 or 30! And Cathe's personality is just so cheerful and fun that it's hard not to love her and her programs. :)

My Success Story
After losing my little brother to suicide in December 2014 (the last member of my family) I gained about 30 pounds and stopped exercising. I decided to start again after giving myself a year to grieve; I began with Jessica Smith's Walk Strong challenge in January 2016 and after about two months I was looking for a change and discovered Cathe. The pounds flew off the minute I started doing her DVDs (not that Jessica wasn't helpful; she was and always has been)! I can't believe how much muscle I suddenly developed and am now hooked! My goal weight is 135 but my current aim is to maintain something around 140. I have Cathe to thank for how fast I transformed; I think that the increased focus on strength training has worked wonders. :)
