    STS Check in

Way behind most of you, but today I did Disc 16, and was surprised how effective the "back off" sets were. At first, I was thinking "reduce by 40%"? And the first few reps are just so light, but boy did they add up quickly. Very interesting, and fun to change things up.

    STS Check in

Tomorrow is my last disc of Meso 1, and then I am in the active recovery week. I have never done STS before, so please forgive me for asking a question that I am sure has been asked many times before: what do people do during active recovery weeks? Is it mainly cardio? If cardio, is it low...

    STS Check in

Well, I'm just a tiny bit ahead of you guys, even though I am not checking in daily. But I do find the comments here encouraging, and motivating! I did Disk 7 this morning and found it quite challenging. Cathe does the bicep curls with a 40-pound barbell! I am using 25. Wow.

    STS Check in

I logged in to this thread today specifically to see if I am the only one who finds all the pushups challenging. And I am doing ALL of them on my knees! There are so many pushups on the chest days. I'm hanging in there with my best effort, but it is a LOT of pushups. Oops...I meant to say I am...

    STS Check in

I enjoy learning new choreography, and usually put on a new step routine after I've already completed a workout so that I can just focus on the foot patterns and rewind at will. Surprisingly, my husband recently heard a study about keeping the mind engaged during workouts, and he came in the...

    STS Check in

I usually do ab routines based on how much available time I have (which mainly depends on how early I get up!). After disc 1, I did the first ab workout from Core Max. The next day, I ran 4 miles on the treadmill and did the boxing abs from LITE. Today I did disc 2, but decided to give my abs a...

    STS Check in

Hi Everyone! I started the 3-month rotation for the first time ever on 12/26, and just did my second workout today. I have been hearing about STS since I first discovered Cathe in 2012, but never felt ambitious enough to try it. Now I am looking forward to a new challenge, and plan to run on...

    Anyone starting soonish?

Thanks! I will check it out now. It is going to be fun, and nice to have some company on this new journey.

    Imax 4

I get it, but keep on going! I feel the same when I get on the treadmill. I used to start it at 7.5 for the warm up, the bumped it up to 7.6 after 6 minutes, then went up from there. Now, I start it at 6.0 and most of the time I stay right there. (I used to feel sorry for people who had that...

    Anyone starting soonish?

I have been hearing about STS since discovering Cathe in 2012, but only just recently purchased it in a Deal of the Day special. I did my very first STS workout this morning, and looking forward to the journey. My plan is to use the alternate days for cardio on the treadmill mainly, and perhaps...

My new favorite move is ...

Can I have multiple new favorite moves? Because I just did PHA 3 this morning, and I really liked the Squat Crossover Lunge move.

My new favorite move is ...

I liked both of these too! Although I find the step behind step-ball-change more challenging. We just need to keep at it.

    Imax 4

I also did Imax 4 today for the first time (after doing the combo only premix yesterday), and it was very fun! I didn't find it overwhelming, but I was certainly happy to have the cooldown at the end to get my breath back. I will return to this one often.

    Music

I did Imax 4 this morning and didn't have any problem with the music at all. I especially liked the cooldown music. I recall on the LIS Total Body Trisets that I didn't enjoy the music at all initially, but as continued to do the workouts, they just became part of the experience.

    Step Sync Blows My Mind

I think in general, the step choreography I found most challenging was in 4 Day Split. It took me forever to get that hitch kick combo! And that part where she says "I know you have your back to me..." always cheers me up, because I know she understands it can be tricky! I love step workouts...
