    Strange Cathe dream!

That's so funny! I was thinking about posting a dream I had the other night. I did IMAX and I was feeling a little sluggish and couldn't get through a couple of the intervals without modifying (maybe partly 'cause it was 10 pm?). When I went to bed I had this dream about Cathe and her StepMax...

    Airborn Jumping Jacks

I feel like something in my inner thigh is actually going to rip if I split my legs too wide when I do these (it's actually when I pull them back together that it hurts)--it is NOT the good kind of pain. I'm very flexible so I know it's not that. I had a baby a year and a half ago, I wonder if...

RE: 75% diet and 25% exercise

Oh yeah-- I'm just easy on myself about food....NOT about working out. My fiance calls me a "work-out freak." What can I say, I love it! Ariel

RE: 75% diet and 25% exercise

Wow. So, I just read all through the other post, and it made my stomach tighten up and my heart started racing and I am shaking! Honestly, and the reason is because I am one of those people who has such an emotional relationship with food and has tried to control it my whole life and so many...

    I'm afraid of IMAX!

RE: Kay..... Thanks for the feedback. I kind of thought that might be the case (about the intensity not being that much greater at 8"). You know the funny thing about IMAX--I can do all the intervals just fine except the power scissors. Those absolutely KILL me! If I didn't modify them part...

    Anyone bi-polar, manic/depressive

Me too. I have been on just about every mood stabilizer that is available (lithium, neurontin, depakote, etc...) and nothing worked for me until I started Tegretol (generic name is cabamazepine). I have no lethargy, and no appetite issues (it made me sleepy for about the first four days, that...

    M.I.C. is a monster!

Coffee!!! Or green tea. I love MIC (lots harder for me than IMAX) but I would never attempt it without some caffeine in me. Ariel :-)

    I'm afraid of IMAX!

One thing you can do is only use one riser under your step. I hate to admit it (I'm afraid it makes me wimpy!)--I only use one riser because my knees just can't take it if I use both. That might be partly because I'm only 5'3"...maybe? Don't be scared--it's fun! Good luck-- Ariel :-)

Is it REALLY 75% DIET and 25% exercise??

I don't post much but this is really significant for me-- If you OBSESS about percentages and calories and being good or bad on your diet you will drive yourself crazy and you will eat more. This is important especially for those of us prone to serious eating disorder stuff. I know that for...

My Tummy is going down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are very few things I hate more than abdominal work but you have actually inspired me to buy Ab Hits and actually DO IT! I had pretty much resigned myself to the mommy pouch but now I believe there is hope (I am so interested to see what "planks" are--sounds ominous...)! Thanks!!! Ariel :-)

Newbie confused with SH, MIS, PS

RE: Ariel Thanks! I think I will just bite the bullet and start a weight video. Any suggestion for a beginner? I guess I will have to cut down the cardio too...:-( The problem with the portions thing is that I suffered from really severe eating disorder for a long time and have only...

    Cathe and the BodyRx

I'm sorry but-- What is the BodyRx? It's hard being new!! Ariel :-)

    I LOVE Rhythmic Step!

It's awesome! And It's a nice break from the intesity of MIC and IMax when you want to do something really fun. The first time I did it I decided it was my dream workout. I've always wanted to find something with really creative choreography that was long enough to be a good workout and...

Newbie confused with SH, MIS, PS

Thanks for the info Samanthac! So what I am wondering-- Is is OK to do Cardio 6 days a week as long as you add in some kind of weight training at least two days a week? I'm an Endo Meso, and I am not obsessed with getting "thin," (I am satisfied with being curvy and strong) but I do have to...
