I believe I purchased them back in 2002.My first Cathe workouts were Rhythmic Step and Power Hour and then I bought her CTX Kickbox workout (all VHS). I was so intimidated by her. And I remember not being able to move my arms the next day after doing the biceps section from CTX Kickbox.
Sad to see this era end. Fully digital migration is definitely happening. I heard there's a huge uproar going on right now with PlayStation users because Sony announced it's discontinuing its discs, too - so even huge companies are doing it. Will be interesting to see if the backlash they're getting from their customers will convince them to reverse course or not.
Ha ha, that cracked me up! I bought my club step in the late 80's and that's when we started our step-workout collection as our in-person class was offered only on Saturday mornings & we wanted to get more use out of it. Our class instructor discouraged us from buying Cathe's step - said they were too hard. So we stayed with the more intermediate workouts. But after acquiring CTX, we were off and running errrr... stepping with Cathe's step & never turned back. We still bought some CIA ones though too. .Mega Step which we promptly renamed Mega Death Step
Whoa - from Basic Step to the highly choreographed Party Rockin's in the same purchase! I enjoy choreographed step but it still took me a few trys to learn those two.My first purchases were DVDs, Party Rockin' Step 1 and 2, Basic Step & Body Fusion, and Low Impact Step
Another whoa! Those are collectors items. You have them still? Under lock'n key or displayed?“Takin’ It From The Top” or “Home Step
Workout”, both Cathe’s. Somewhere between 1991 & possibly 1995…
I have others' strengths but I keep returning to Cathe. I like that "worked out" feeling.Haven't really done anyone else since then. Cathe leaves me feeing like i worked out!
Hee Hee, yep, still got them, in original VHS boxes, they're just in a VHS box with 2 different drawers, remember those? There's another one too, Cardio Step Challenge, with a date of 1992.......You have them still? Under lock'n key or displayed?
You have quite the colleciton of originals! Maybe you should have them under lock'nkey lol. Those could be worth a pretty penny (at least to Cathe fans).Hee Hee, yep, still got them, in original VHS boxes, they're just in a VHS box with 2 different drawers, remember those? There's another one too, Cardio Step Challenge, with a date of 1992.......
We still have a VCR hooked up to the TV in the workout room. Only use it a few times a year now, maybe. We had a few VHS go bad - some like Gilad &BeachBody got used so many times they stretched out; We had Urban TaiChi & some others that got chewed up in the machine - some of those we taped back together and they still played. So they may still play!I have often thought about pulling out one of my VCR's and seeing how they play......
Fortunately, I pick up choreography quite quickly. I used to do ballet and ballroom/latin american dancing. I was already doing some step workouts and the Dancing Off the Inches workouts before discovering Cathe. Even so, those Party Rockin' Step workouts took me a few tries to master, especially the last couple of routines when I was more fatigued.Whoa - from Basic Step to the highly choreographed Party Rockin's in the same purchase! I enjoy choreographed step but it still took me a few trys to learn those two.
