Hello,

I am currently doing the XTrain workouts, and I am wondering where I can find some of the equipment Cathe uses, specifically the slide and glide discs and the blue resistance band. Is Amazon the best place to look? Also, there are different oz gloves on Amazon, and I have no idea which ones to get! I would appreciate any feedback! Thanks!

Hi NYYFAN,

I've pasted in the link for the Shop Cathe page that has the bands. I haven't done X-Train in a while. I I don't remember if Cathe used the blue band for "firewalkers" or the long band for upper body work or the resistance tube (the one with the handles). All the bands are on the page. The long bands are the daily deal for the day. If you use a coupon you can save a little more! Here's the link: http://shop.cathe.com/work_out_resistance_bands_s/45.htm .

Here's the link to the 15% off coupon that can be used with your purchase including the daily deal: http://cathe.com/november-2014-discount-coupons

If you pre-ordered RWH you may be able to get free shipping. I don't know if their policy has changed regarding whether or not the purchases have to be done at the same time. Its worth checking. Maybe someone else will respond that know the policy. If not, its still a good deal for the bands.

Alas, the company that manufactured the Fitness by Cathe products is out of business. I don't know if they manufactured the discs. I do know they are no longer available. In a pinch you can use paper plates like I did until I got Cathe's discs (for free as part of an early pre-order incentive for one of her series). My big issue then was that my husband didn't realize the plates were now considered part of my workout equipment and kept throwing them out. I considered using a couple of frisbees but never bothered. If you want to buy a disc, here is a line to a Golds Gym version sold on Amazon (but maybe Walmart of another store has them).. Here's the link:
http://www.amazon.com/Golds-Gym-Power-Glide-Discs/dp/B00ET9D8T8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415823077&sr=8-1&keywords=slide and glide discs
They are double sided so you can use them on carpet or wood floors. The Cathe discs came with covers to use on wood floors. I saw that some companies sell two different versions of the disc which is a waste of money IMO.

Hope you find what you want.

Fitness Friend,
Teals

Before I received my Cathe Gliding discs, I used furniture moving discs. (place them under your furniture to slide it across the floor.) They worked really well. I put a rug or a scrap of carpet (5x8) on my fitness flooring. Used the discs on the carpet. They were great.
