50 and over week of Feb 13 check in

Maybe I will start fat load today to catch up with you, Beth. The quicker I get started the quicker I finish.

I got the two new pair of glasses but I still have headaches. the "lines" are probably in wrong place. I can't see the computer or read well, but distance seems ok. Back in to have eyes rechecked today. BBL

I joined the yaya's Biggest loser challenge today. It starts Monday. We each pay 5.00 and have before and after pictures... :eek::eek::eek: I have to to something!!

So I will be following you guys closely!!! Can you guys post what your eating if you have time? I so wish I could join you. If anyone jumps in and says anything -- we will do a nice round kick up against their heads! ;)


I did basic step today :D:cool::D I feel OK. I can tell I held my neck a little stiffer but, that's ok.
 
Jann I don't think you should follow yesterday's eating plan. Doughnuts, hamburger and fries, Long Island tea, cheese and crackers and ham salad.
We are going out to eat tonight also and then Sunday will start the low calorie part. I will use the 165lb as the start weight.

Just had an appt with a new client. He was going to argue about everything so I told him I couldn't take hime as a client.

Two more appts today and they are both new. I wonder how they will be?

I have already gained 5lb on this fat load. I won't count that in the pounds lost later.

I started yesterday. I was in the car all day so here is how I ate.
coffee, apple, protein drink (70 cal, 13 gr pro, 0 carb 0 fat), the at mcdonald I bought southwest chicken salad- grilled- no dressing and ate half for lunh and half later-- scooted out the chips on top-- dinner had grilled fish and squash-- later that night, i had a 25 cal hot cocoa.

Today- down 1/2 pound- had 3 egg whites and 1/2 cup mushrooms with a spritz of braggs- clementine orange (2)- protein drink-- dinner is going to be a stir fry pujt I will have the chicken (4oz) and cabbage.

What is the biggest loser contest? Does it give you a plan? Today for workouts Cathe has us doubling up-- this morning is plyo legs then kick box this afternoon I may not make all of that though
 
They consider the fat load days as part of the diet so 165lb is the start weight. They weighed when I went in but I didn't bother with pictures there because I won't be going back at the end.

I've stocked up on chicken, lean beef, tuna and egg beaters. If I can find a protein drink with no carbs I might get that. I don't know why you can have sweetnlow and not equal.

I may have to do STS again after the 6 weeks incase I have lost any muscle. During tax time I don't get much lifting in if at all.

YUM -- you do this for 2 days. :p Fun!!

My menu is going to be
B - Kashi cereal w/0% fat greek yogurt
S- vita top (100 calories)
L - protein and vegetable
S - Friuit
D - Big Salad or light dinner
S- something sweet not fat

This is about 1300 calories ++ I would like to start burning minimum of 200 calories with my workout. ++ try as hard as I can to get my 10,000 steps in.

This is what I've been doing minus the exercise. With my thyroid acting weird I am still not losing. I go to the endocrinologist March 2. Hopefully I can start meds and get my body working again. :confused:

The BL at yaya's is a contest. We all do our own method. Everyone pays the $5.00. At the end you submit pictures before and after and everyone votes. :eek::eek: The winner wins 75% of the money 2nd place get 25%. I am not doing it for the money. I am doing it for the camaraderie.

I'm not really very good at "fat loading". I had chicken and broccoli and 1/2 baked potato. I wanted a piece of Italian cream cake but that was at a different restaurant and we didn't drive by there on the way home. I may go crazy and have low fat cottage cheese later.

I still can't see why broccoli isn't on the diet.
 
End of second day! Im hungry but it is doable. As far as the sweet n low thing."...I was told that any low calorie drink and food was ok but to be aware that if you consume too much it kicks off the hunger response because your body thinks it is getting sugar. The carbs will also do that!
 
End of day 1. I was hungry but I think it wasn't any more hungry than when I'm on a normal diet.

They even told me not to drink my orange flavored green tea because it had orange rind in it. Something about the oil. They said I could use sweetnlow but not equal. That leaves out all diet drinks. I will follow their directions for the first week.

I am down another half pound. The reason they don't want you to have any fat right now is because you want the stored fat to be the fat your body uses....at least until you've used up most of it. I don't know about the sweet and low but I can have crystal lite and that 25 calorie Swiss miss.
Good job Joan! Weigh at the same time everyday. I weigh in the morning before I start drinking coffee.

Hows everyone else doing? I am going to do one of the lower impact step tapes this morning. I have to figure out which one!

Down 4lb but still not back to start weight. Let's hope tomorrow morning I finally get a real loss.

It was specifically listed as no crystal light.
