Good Morning Ladies.

New week - New thread! :)

So y'day I did LBB as scheduled. I opted for the premix that includes the standing leg work minus the cardio blasts + the leg conditioning drills at the end. I went heavy and OH.MY.GAWD! I was ready to DIE by the time it was over! Those conditioning drills really "drove it home" for me. WOWOWOWOWOWOW! My legs were still shaking like leaves on a tree on a windy day while I was showering. :eek::)

Yet, surprisingly enough, atleast as of right now...no killer DOMS to speak of...just a little tightness. Ofcourse...I didn't start working out until 4:30 y'day afternoon so I could still be in trouble later.....:D

Today the rotation calls for MMA: Boxing. I lurve this work out but would prefer more work for the legs. I love to kickbox the day after a good lower body work out. Really helps stretch out the legs for me. That being said, I will be subbing in a different w/o for today. I'll decide which one when I get in there later. I am also going to try to for a 6 week six pack w/o. Perhaps I'll try w/o #1 today. :)

Gayle:: Wow, sounds like you sure did have a busy day yday! How'd you fair on the desserts last night? Just one as promised? No fibbing! ;):p Yay for the DOMS! Gotta love it! lol

I lurve me MMA:Boxing also. But WHY are you going to sub? Why not just ADD ONTO it? I think this week I'm also going to play with the premixes. Tomorrow is Intensity and I think I will do the Maximum Intensity premix....have any of you done this, and if so what makes it "MAXIMUM"?

Dessert last night: I started out with one...the cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Then my friend and I decided to take another one EACH and split them so we could taste 2 other things. OMG.....talk about YUMM-i-licious. But....to come clean....I came home and then had a slice of MY homemade buttermilk pound cake. Yummy richness. Honesty is the best policy, right? :)

I did STS TB this AM and this afternoon a friend is coming over for 3-4 easy (aka slow) miles. Then we have basketball and dinner.

DOMS in my core from my self-inflicted circuit the other day, but I ain't complainin'.

Sorry............have LOTS to say, but short on time. Off to church, I hope God doesn't strike me down with lightning....it's been a LONG time. ;)
 
Hi. I'm back.

You are right Gayle, I didn't even think of that! DUH! I should've done MMA Boxing and then added on. Considering what I ended up doing it would have worked out just fine!

My work out this morning was an hour long k/b mish mosh of Rapid Fire Kick, Box, and Core Burn; KCM's 30 Min to Fit. K/B and Kathy Smith's Cardio Knock Out Kickbox w/o. I used weighted gloves ofcourse and got on a good sweat and some nice kicking for those lower body blasted legs of mine. ;) Then I finished it up with 1/2 of 6 week Six pack work out #1 which I enjoyed very much and look forward to doing in full the next time. :)

Gayle, For INTENSITY the MAXIMUM premix is just the original INTENSITY plus the Boot Camp bonus. I think she tacks it on to the end of the work out IIRC. I haven't done it yet...mostly b/c I keep having the w/o on tap for weekdays and it's just a little too long for me to get done. Enjoy STS TB and the ez run. I want to try the compound premix of STS next time I do it. It's getting great reviews. :)

I need to redo week 2! I just totally got slacked on it,i really got to work on getting to bed early since this whole week I need to get it done by 630am.:)

Rest day for me today which is just as well since the legs are fried! Started DOMS'ing later y'day afternoon/evening and are still talkin' to me this morning. :)

Terina:: I workout from 5 to 6 or thereabouts every morning so IKWYM about getting to bed early! I go to bed at 9pm every night!

I'm in the same boat....I workout in my lair starting around 4:30 - 4:45am. So it's important to get enough sleep. Some nights I have to FORCE myself upstairs, and then FORCE myself to turn off my TV. :)

Maximum Intensity Premix DONE! I liked the Boot Camp section, especially that very last one with the band doing out thigh lifts while holding a sort-of-side plank. ;)

Gayle, I just rearranged the last 3 days of the December rotation in order to get INTENSITY in on a w/e so I can do the MAX version you did today! I plan to do it on Sunday and kick all those extra Christmas cals right out the door! :p:D

Sorry for my long rant. I have to vent. Had a time glitch with some work and a holiday party I had to attend yesterday. Didn't get Intensity done. Trying to get it done today and we have ANOTHER snow storm so I lost time doing errands because the snow makes everything take lots longer. I need to be at work at 7pm tonight just when a STUPID football game's going on.The dome collapsed in a blizzard a week or so ago so they rescheduled the Vikings game at the University of Minnesota today to a campus stadium. The tickets are 1st come 1st served, they have more tickets than seats, there's road construction for a new light rail and I have to get the prework done before tonight. Normally it would take just 20 minutes to get to my job but I've been told to give extra hours because of the congestion & lack of parking and now snow. There goes my workout time. I can't fit in 66 min. So there's my rant for the day. I think if time clears up in an hour I'll try to get MMA Kick Box done 'cause it's shorter. I hope... I'm going to sub that one in and get back on track tomorrow. If I can. I hate taking 2 days off. AGH!
Sorry to be so rude and just talk about my problems.
I will get through this week a sane person.

There has to be a blizzard with an earthquake attached to cancel a show or a rehearsal so I'm going to give lots of time and watch out for bad drivers. You'd think folks would know how to drive in this stuff. Come on, it's Minnesota people! Go slow and don't hit the breaks!
I may be joining Terina and redo week two. What does Cathe say in the new workouts? Something like ... "tell your self you can do this" I can't remember it exactly but it's my new motto for this month.

Minnesota...wow...I know people who have family out there and they live in the woods and I mean DEEP in the woods. Apparently it was like a 4 hour drive from the airport to get to this house and it was literally a log cabin in the middle of no where and they would get feet upon feet of snow. I couldn't imagine...:eek:

Although I was also under the impression that in places like MINN or upstate NY where lots of snow is "the norm" that the state is better equipped to deal with it so it actually tends to be less of a "show-stopper" so to speak (pun intended! ;) ) then LESS snow would be where I'm from in Jersey. Ofcourse there are extra added problems in your situation...

Anyway, safe travels. An actor. How neat! Break a leg! :)

That workout is intense!!!! My legs were not jumping any more!

I know we sometimes complain about the mid-Winter weather here in the NE, but I also know MANY people have it MUCH MUCH worse than me! :) I love our changes of seasons and wouldn't trade it for the world. Although I do realized I have it 'easy' in that everything we do or have to do is very close to my house. Schools are within walking distance (I walk to/from work/school); Drs, barber, bank, library also within walking distance; etc. Not rubbing it in, just saying that I appreciate what I've got and feel for those that struggle more with the weather/traffic/etc.

ANYWHO....

This morning was High Reps. It seemed to FLY by this time. I don't wanna jinx myself here, but may I say that I actually think I might complete this entire rotation 100%? :cool:

Today was High Reps for me too, Gayle.

I was gonna do the upper body first premix but decided to it my own way so I did this:

w/u
triceps (with dips first since this is hardest for me in this w/o)
biceps
shoulders
back
chest
warrior lunges
stationary lunges
squats

I had to skip abs for time but will do them this week since I like HR abs alot!

Great workout but morning went to hell in a handbasket after that! At work now. Hopefully it will get a bit BETTER and not WORSE from now on....Fingers X'd!

Intensity done. dragging through the Low Impact Hiit but I made it with only short 1-2 min. breaks for water & air between each section. It never lets up!
I was late to rehearsal last night but I didn't kill anyone or have an accident on the way. So life is good.
Felt so GOOD to get back on track with Dec's Killer-A-Thon-Rotation.
Talk tomorrow.

When I used to do the Cher tape,I would say "hello bench" because she would tell us too. I loved that workout.

Gayle,it must be nice to have the 4 seasons there,here in HI its pretty much the same all year around, so when we get a chance to go to the mailand its a nice change to freeze :D. which will do in Feb when we go to Disneyland.

Hey gang!

Teri-I answer Cathe all the time, and quite often I also say the 'line' right along with her. Like in Low Max the one interval with the da-dats...the down-downs....at the end she says, "I bet you weren't expecting those..." and I always say, "ohhhhhhhhhhhh yes I WAS"! :) Too funny.

This morning was a 45 min ss run; I was planning on an outdoor run, but I wasn't feeling the love for my cold weather running clothes. ;) So I did an iTread workout and tacked on weighted abs from BBC Arms & Abs. Short and sweet.

Gotta get moving around here. have an awesome day, ladies!
