Today was full body again, Week 3 with a different set/rep pattern and rest time.

This was 4 sets of 5 reps with 1 minute rest. Had an excellent, strong workout:

Barbell Rows - 85#
***These felt heavy with the first 2 sets, I think because I just started. Last 2 sets felt great.

Barbell Bench Press - 105#
***This felt good, too. Not sure I can go any heavier with my right shoulder, though.

Squats - 95#
***Could have gone heavier here.

Stiff Leg Deads - 85#
***These felt good, tightness in the hamstrings and glutes are down to a minimal right now. Usually this exercise hurts, today it didn't.

Barbell Curls - 65#
***I strive to hit this weight with curls. It was easy today. Was doing the happy dance after the 4th set!

Close Grip Bench Press - 85#
***This felt fairly light, probably could have done 90# but didn't want to chance my shoulder.

Hi ladies. I'm still cruddy and going to try to get into the doc. Not sure if I'll manage my weight workout today. May have to be tomorrow.

Debbie - good job with the workout! It's always nice when you have a strong day.

Belinda - hospital????

Wendy - glad you liked Fusion. I thought it was a fun one too.

Good Morning,

Tonite for me is EBs Burn and Firm Pilates depending on how I feel. Woke up vomiting again and my stomach is still upset, it started at 1am but didn't get sick until I got out of the shower. Aunt Flo is suppose to be here any day.

Belinda-keep us updated.

Heather-hope you get to feeling better.

Debbie-awesome workout.
 
Belinda - I went back a few days to catch up and I seen that the day after you almost passed out you said you only eat two meals a day. Is this true or did I misread what you said. Also, why are you going to the hospital? I hope you are ok. And yes, I've had that happen to me before but that was before I started eating every 3 hours. I have hypoglycemia and when my blood sugar takes a nose dive I feel like I'm going to pass out. You need to eat WAY More then just oats and a salad. I eat 6 times a day, sometimes 7.

Heather - I hope you feel better soon. That sucks!! I hate being sick or having any type of sinus infection.

Roxie - I hope you feel better too. Maybe you need to rest today?

Wendy - Yes, there is an ab workout on MMA Boxing. I'll have to check it out too.

Just read the update on Belinda on OD. OMG! I hope you're ok, Belinda!!! I'm glad you got a good husband to look after you!!

I started my week of 4DS today. I did Chest & Back, repeating each round (like in your DEC 08 rotation, Debbie). My chest was still a little sore from Friday, but it wasn't too bad. It seemed a bit easier to me than GS. (shhh!)

Debbie: Nice weights today!!!!

Roxie: Hope you feel better. You are sick a lot, huh? You must be so frustrated!!

Heather: Another sickie here! We're falling apart here! Hope you get some help too, Heather.

Off to the shower, and then supper !!
 
Well, I went to the doctor for my sinus crap and to have him check on a burn on my hand (did it on the toaster oven Dec. 23, really bad). Thankfully my hand is not infected, just slow to heal. I do have a sinus infection so he gave me antibiotics and said that'd help with my hand if there was any trace of infection. Then he told me to just keep taking Claritin D. Crap. I seriously can't sleep taking that but it seems to be the only thing to clear up my sinuses.

Anyway, I probably shouldn't have, but I did weights. DH was home for lunch and could spot me for chest so I felt like I needed to take advantage. It wasn't the best workout, but I shouldn't have done it to begin with to be honest.

DB Rows - 35's (could have done 40 if i had so shortchanged)

DB Bench Press - 36.5's

Squats - 88 (could have gone heavier if I had the right equip)

Stiff Leg Deads (using DBs) - 35's

DBCurls - 20's

Close Grip Bench Press - 21.5's (this bothered my shoulder, kept popping)

Chris - hope you feel better too! Going to have to go read about Belinda. :(

Stomach still queasy but now I think its do to TTOM. I did Basic Step wasn't much but better then nothing.

STS Cardio: HiiT-40/20= 30 Min In a word this was FUN!!!
Calories burned= 410
nearly killed me~!! I thought my heart was going to burst, and my legs turned into limp noodles when I got so warm and was fatigued, and drenched in sweat. I had to take a couple of breaks to add a riser to each side and to catch my breath. I did 3 risers each side for most all of it. The last part I switched to 2 each side. No way could I do 4 like Cathe and crew, yikes!!! This was a huge challenge but lots of fun, one I look forward to improving on in time.

Crunch Candelight Yoga= 43 Min
Calories burned= 117
I did this Yoga dvd after doing HiiT 40/20 and I have to say I think its a great way to compliment it and be kind to your hard working joints and muscels afterwards.

Total calories burned with today's workouts= 527:eek:

Belinda- OMG! I hope you'll be ok. I'm glad you have your husband there to look after you. If you need to go to the hospital go, that way you'll know you did what was right and if everything is ok then you and hubby both have peace of mind, not to mention us. Please take care and let hubby take you to the hospital.;) Also, I wanted to add that I agree with debbie that you need to eat more often. Its important to try to eat six meals or so a day to keep blood sugars nice and in safe levels. I've read lots about this and it also helps to curb appeitite and prevents binge eating. We just want you to be healthy and strong, so take care kiddo!;)

Debbie- Wow!!!! You go girl! When I grow up I want to lift as heavy as you can.:eek: Great workout today, and awesome job with the heavy weights, you rock!:D:cool:

Heather- I hope all goes well at the doctors assuming you'll get in to see him/her ok. No worries on the workout, you can do it another day just take care of you please.;)

Roxie- Oh no I'm so sorry to here that your having stomach issues again. Maybe a trip to the doctor might be in order. I hope you feel better soon! I'm proud of you on being consistent on working out. Its the toughest part is making it a habit, but a good habit, feel better.

Chris- Nice workout today! Debbie's December '08 rotation is a goodie, and man does it work. Yes, I remember feeling DOMS with that one. I don't know if its harder than GS though, its definitely right up there though. I'm happy that I did get 4DS and GS's the GS was a bit pricey but it is so versatile and I love the premixes tons of variety. GS is just so good, you can't go wrong with it. Cathe's awesome at what she does that's for sure. Glad you're enjoying a challenging workout.;)

Chris- You worked out today anyways, yikes. Well, please rest up this evening then. I hope you can get a good nights sleep. Maybe a nice glass of wine and some Afrin nasal spray would help. I know doctors don't recommend using nasal sprays for more than 3 or 4 days, but you do need to be able to sleep, so maybe it could help but don't use it longer than recommened. I know that for myself I can cope with it during the day time without the nasal spray but when I'm trying to sleep its just hell and I need to breathe comfortably to sleep. Maybe call your doctor and see what he suggests.
