Morning Maniacs -

No workout for me this AM. I ate too much yesterday also! I'm leaving for work in a bit...........wish me luck. I did a few sun salutations and yoga stretches for about 10 minutes this AM, as I'm VERY stiff and in pain. I hate when I don't work out, as my pain flares. I hope I make it thru today. I work a 11 hour day.

I am getting ready to go try and did a quick cardio workout and some stretching. It will probably be short because once the grandbaby gets up I am done. I used to workout with all of the others when they were little, but this one requires constant attention:eek: She did not sleep well last night and I was up at 3 am cuddling her. Grandson set his alarm on his DS game for 6 :0 . Now after all of that food I am taking my antacid with coffee this morning. Yikes!! I have left overs that will have to be frozen or something.

Lora, I hope your day goes well. It sounds like you are getting lots of hours so that is something to be thankful for since so many are wishing for work. I hope you can make it through the day without too much pain .

Linda, I like Tracey's Yoga solutions because it is good and no strange stuff in it. Just yoga. And it has Josef in it:D I think I forgot to answer on P90X+ It is different from the original but a great series as well. Wish it had more lower body, but I guess you get that in the Intervals and Kickbox some. The Total Body+ has some and reminds me of Core Synergistics which I think that you use during recovery? It has been awhile since I did the rotation. Then there is Upper+. My favorites that I go back to are the cardios and the abs. They make a nice addition to the original set.
 
Short workout done. Maybe later if I have any energy I will get my last STS weight workout in. I did Kelly Coffey's 30 minutes to fitness Bootcamp cardio session premix 30 minutes. 276 calories Max HR 161 avg HR 138 30% fat 11 min in zone.
 
Today was P90X Legs & Back. Had an excellent workout. I ate quite a bit yesterday, but I didn't really over do it. I had lots of energy this morning and I don't feel bloated at all. I guess that's good. Could have been worse.

This week I went deeper with all the lunges, used weights in an exercise that I did last week and had great numbers for all the chins and pullups. I am really happy with this workout!

This is how it went:

Balance Lunge (BSS) - 12's/25 reps each side
Calf-Raise Squats - 15's/25 reps
Reverse Grip Chinups - 12 unassisted, 5 assisted
Super Skaters - 25 each side (this time the leg that was off the floor never touched the floor unless I lost my balance.)
Wall Squats - an eternity at high and low levels, did these on the stability ball
Wide Front Pullups - 2 unassisted, 10 Assisted
Step Back Lunges - 12's/15 reps each side
Alternate Side Lunges - 10's/24 reps alternating
Close Grip Overhand Pullups - 5 unassisted, 7 assisted
Single Leg Wall Squats - 1 minute total, 10 second holds each side alternating, used stability ball
Deadlift Squats - 20/side (again, didn't touch the floor unless I lost my balance)
Switch Grip Pullups - 12 total, 6 sets reversing grip, all unassisted

1 minute break

Three-Way Lunge w/kick - 5 each side going side, 45 degree, front
Sneaky Lunges - 20 each side
Reverse Grip Chinups - 7 & 4 unassisted (Last week I used bands)
Chair Salutations - 2 - 30 second chair poses (burned like a mother)
Toe-Roll Iso Lunges - 8's/20 each side (last week I didn't use a weight)
Wide Front Pullups - 5 unassisted, 5 assisted
Groucho Walk - 4 up, 4 back for 45 seconds
Calf Raises - 20's/did 15 reps slow, 10 reps fast with feet turned out, front and in. Should have went heavier
Close Grip Overhand Pullups - 15 reps/used bands with all 3 tensions, this was tough)
80-20 Sieber Speed Squats - 30 a side (I liked these)
Switch Grip Pullups - 11 sets w/band using all tube tensions.

Loved this workout.

Then I did the Ab work from Step, Jump & Pump. Got abs in twice this week! :eek:

Linda - This rotation is longer the 12 weeks? I thought it was only 12 weeks long. I won't do the Yoga X workout the entire rotation, either. Change is good, Tony keeps saying that. LOL!

Thanks for the kitty stories. THey are FINALLY getting along. This morning they have been chasing each other around and can be near each other without hissing. I'm happy. Hopefully this will continue and they be best buddies.

- Yes the total rotation is 13 weeks. for weeks 9,10,11, & 12 you alternate what we did in the first two months then there is a final recovery week which is week 13.


I also did P90X Legs & Back but didn't do nearly as well as Debbie on the Pullups and all my leg work stayed the same. Oh and I did use band for the switch grip pulls this time. I don't like doing the pullups. I'll post my stats tomorrow.

- Thanks for the info. I checked out the clip of Tracey's yoga dvd and I think I am gonna order it.
