Hi everyone. Enjoying my day off so far. Didn't sleep in as I'd planned, but at least I didn't have to rush for anything. Did Cardio Fusion and medicine ball abs -the partner stuff. I have never done that one b/c I thought you had to have a partner. I've been missing out darn it. Really like that one.

Today was Meso 2, Week 4, Disc 22, Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. Last week of Meso 2, I can't believe it. This workout had drop sets in it. Very fun and sweaty workout.

CHEST
PushUps - Wide - 10 reps
Pushups - Standard - 10 reps
Pushups - Wide - 10 reps
Pushups - Standard - 12 reps (to failure)
***I can't believe Cathe did about 40 pushups here. I was shocked as hell. She is a nut when it comes to pushups.

Flat Bench Barbell Press - 90#/12 reps
Flat Bench Barbell Press - 90#/10 reps
Flat Bench Barbell Press - 90#/8 reps
***I'm excited to be back up to 90#. I didn't think I could do this with my shoulder but it didn't bother me. Woo hoo!

Incline Chest Flys - 35's/12 reps
Incline Chest Flys - 35's/10 reps
Incline Chest Flys - 35's/8 reps
***These burned. Went to failure with each set. Good weight.

Incline Bench Barbell Press - 80#/12 reps
Incline Bench Barbell Press - 80#/10 reps
Incline Bench Barbell Press - 80#/8 reps
***By the end here I was really pumped. My chest was really fried.

***I was a bit bummed we didn't do drop sets with the chest. I can't figure out why.

SHOULDERS
Seated Overhead Press - 20's/10 reps

Seated Overhead Press - 10's/10 reps
***Drop sets here, 10 second rest between each set. I hate this exercise.

Incline Stability Ball Front Raise - 10's/10 reps

***Drop sets, 10 second rest between each set. I loved this exercise.

Seated Lateral Raise - 12's/10 reps

***Drop sets, 10 second rest between each set.

Seated Rear Delts - 15's/10 reps
Seated Rear Delts - 12's/10 reps

TRICEPS
Flat Bench Dumbbell Tricep Extensions - 20's/12 reps
Flat Bench Dumbbell Tricep Extensions - 22's/10 reps
Flat Bench Dumbbell Tricep Extensions - 22's/8 reps
***This was light, should have went with 25's.

Close Grip Push Ups - 10 reps
Close Grip Push Ups - 10 reps
Close Grip Push Ups - 12 reps
***10 seconds rest and last set was to failure. Again, Cathe did about 30 reps before she stopped. I couldn't believe it. She's a pushup animal!

Kickbacks Double Arm - 12's/10 reps
Kickbacks Double Arm - 10's/10 reps
Kickbacks Double Arm - 8's/10 reps
***Drop sets, 10 second rest between each set. Tri's were on fire.
 
Good Morning,

I am getting tired of not doing anything so tonite I am going to do beginner pilates just something lite but better than not doing anything. DD is seeing hemotologist today I couldn't go so her dad is going with her. She is now complaining of being tired and dizzy.
 
Roxie - I think it's ok to do light workouts on your rest week. I'd go stir crazy if I hadn't done something during my STS rest weeks. I think that as long as you're doing lower intensity activities and no weights, you're good. Keep us up to date on your daughter.

Hey Girls!

I did DISC 2 today: (switched up the rotation a bit, did DISC 3 , Legs, on Wed). It was Triceps and Back! What a long workout for just 2 body parts! :eek: But I liked it!

Tomorrow I have to bring the boys mid morniing for their flu shots, my usual workout time, so I won't be getting my cardio in. Bummer.

Heather: Nice that you got a day off AND it makes a 3 day weekend for you! Did you decide what you're going to do next for a rotation? ... Do tell, how do you do Med ball abs, with a partner, with no one? Though I have to admit, the first segment of Med Ball Abs is my favorite!...

Debbie: Nice job today! WOW, you got some big weights going there! I know, Overhead shoulder presses are one of my least favorite shoulder exercise.

Roxie: I don't blame you for having to do a workout, just SOMETHING! Pilates sounds like a good choice. Yes, do keep us updated on your daughter!
 
Chris- I only did the first part. I didn't know that it had like 10 mins without a partner so this was the first time I tried it. I swear I spend over an hour today thinking about my next rotation. I have a conference for work this week (wed - fri) and then I think DH and I will be out of town Sat and Sun. Very stressed about trying to figure out how to get workouts in - even if it's just cardio.

Soooo...tomorrow and Sun I am doing upper body premixes from 4DS. I did them in a rotation Debbie put together where you do them once through then repeat. Then I'll do legs Tues. The following week I think I am going to try something a little different. I am going to put PH and Pyramid together. Example: Pyramid Chest & Back work followed by Chest & Back from PH. If I like that, I plan on doing 3rd week with the 4DS that I'm doing this week then 4th week Pyramid and pair with maybe MM or ME. We'll see.

Heather: Ah! You certainly DID put a lot of thought into a rotation! What a really cool combo. Hope you like it!... So you did the "without a partner" Med Ball abs only? Isn't it cool? I love the different moves in that.

This was fun and I love mixing up iTread with Cardio Coach on the shorter runs anyways.

Calories burned= 315

This was really fun it did sort of remind me of a shorter mix being a cross between PS and GS. I had fun and I really felt my lats with it.

Debbie-Wow! High fives on today's STS workout for you. Impressive weights too. Isn't STS a lot of fun and challenging? I really found myself enjoying weights so much that I like to keep up with them in my workout rotations concentrating on certain muscel groups etc... I'd never really thought about it before but now its definitely something I focus on.
