Kanye West is such a jerk!

I cannot believe what he did to that poor little girl. Truthfully, I wouldn't recognize her or his music if it was blared from loudspeakers on the top of a skyscraper, but I saw the clips this morning & it was just so wrong! I felt really bad for her, to have her moment stolen by such a creep.

I wonder what makes him so full of rage that he'd try to steal the thunder of a sweet little teenager.

Yeah, he is a real loser! I saw that too and thought he deserved to be kicked out of the event. They said that later in the evening when Beyonce was accepting her award, she invited Taylor up to finish her speech. I can't stand Beyonce's "music", but I thought that was pretty classy of her.

I'll sum up Kanye in 1 sentence; he steals old beats & rhythms, puts his own "lyrics" to them, and thinks he is God. IMO, he sucks and gets way more credit than he deserves. A decent producer, but as a "performer," he sucks!

I find it weird how every year he does something outrageous (ie, stupid and incredibly insulting) to boost his publicity. It makes me wonder if this was set up between him and MTV to increase ratings.

Oh poor Taylor Swift!! The look on her face broke my heart. I totally love her and her music. Pink and Katy Perry lashed out at him online, which I love. Here's what Pink said :

Kanye West is the biggest piece of s*** on earth. Quote me.My heart goes out to Taylor Swift. She is a sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment. She should know we all love her. Beyonce is a classy lady. I feel for her, too. It's not her fault at all, and her and Taylor did their thing. And douche bag got kicked out.

Lol, you go girl!!

And yet his acting dumb in public behavior was eclipsed by that of a big giant jackarse, Serena Williams. I guess you don't need much in the way of character to get paid big bucks to grunt and whack a fuzzy ball around a court. Neurosurgeons, social workers, and military personnel should be so lucky.

I was watching with my son & daughter, and our jaws dropped open when Kanye did that. We could not get over it. I didn't watch much more after that, but I could hear my kids booing with the audience every time someone mentioned Kanye. I can't believe they did not kick him out of the event. They definitely should have. I hear he has done this type of thing before. Someone should have taught him a lesson. What he did was plain Rude!

LOL! That is great. :)

What's bugging me most about this is jacka$$ just got like $1 mil worth of free publicity. I never would've known about it if CNN hadn't run a piece on it this morning. Why would CNN even give him the attention?

(no need to answer, it was a rhetorical question :p)

I heard Serena did something but I didn't hear what...

Uh yeah, I hardly think West's idiocy was eclipsed by Serena, a remarkably talented athlete who was pi$$ed about a bad call in what's arguably one of the most important tennis matches of her life. And it's certainly not the first time a tennis player threw a tantrum.

At least Serena was fighting for something. I have no idea what the point of West's tirade was, other than to make a teen girl feel like crap (not that she's not getting serious PR from this either).

If what happened to Serena had happened to me, I'm not sure how ladylike I would have acted either. :D I might have been tempted to follow-up on the threat of shoving the racket down that line judges throat. (readjusts halo)

ITA. They should have fined the line judge.

i almost posted something about this morning. i didn't want to offend anybody but this so called class act is just jealous b/c taylor at least writes her own music while he steals beats from other artist. just wondering when the hip hop community as a whole are going to throw him and others that act like him out of their culture club. when ppl talk hip hop they automatically think him and other not so great role models instead of more respectable artists.

hats off to beyonce for being a class act though. i think the hip hop community was so embarrassed by that stunt.

i saw the serena meltdown but not exactly sure WHY she did. but they were comparing that to mackenroe(sp?) just kind of chuckled though.

Acting like that over a tennis match? Sorry, it doesn't fly with me. If any of us acted like that we'd be losing our jobs, facing charges etc. Her behavior was simply appalling and she should be ashamed. It's too bad her opponent didn't bounce a ball off her head and knock some sense into her.

I have seen footage of the foot fault and it looked like her heel (or back of her foot) went on the line. So the call might have been valid. Even if the call was questionable it is no reason to threaten to shove a $*%(#* ball down the line person's throat. Think if one of your coworkers threatened to shove a computer mouse down your throat, would that person be fired? Or if you child at school threatened to shove a ball down some kids throat, would that be tolerated? I don't think so. Then why tolerate such actions from an athlete.

I'm glad that Serena did apologize today for her unacceptable behavior.

As for Kayne, he is a putz that should be ignored. Hopefully people will stop buying his music.

They already established there was no foot fault after the match, but of course still punished her for her behavior and didn't reverse the call. I never said her behavior was acceptable. As a former "competitive athlete" though, I can totally sympathize with the emotions she was dealing with. Doesn't make it right, just makes her human. And she lost and was fined 10K. Not sure what else anyone wants them to do to her? She's been punished and has apologized.

ITA--and I can certainly see how she might lose her temper over some nobody line judge damaging her career like that. Given all the blood, sweat & tears she's put into being there, I understand why emotions were running high.

They have NOT established there was no foot fault. In fact ESPN has been showing that the back of her foot was on the line which indicates the call was valid. There has been no statement from the USTA on the foot fault.

I think the fact that she finally apologized today will go a long way. Her behavior in the press conference and her statement yesterday showed she had no remorse and that was disappointing to many.

Sorry, I thought I heard on the news yesterday that they reviewed it and it wasn't a foot fault. Must have heard incorrectly. Wouldn't be the first time! ;) Doesn't really matter anyways. She was fined 10K and lost her match. I'm not sure why everyone is in such a tizzy over it. There's trash talking in all sports. It's not like the footballers and hockey players are all little innocents. They get a time out or a flag, Serena gets crucified in the media. Kind of a double standard. There's got be more important things going on in the world right now?

Sorry, but when you tell someone that you are going to shove the f*****g ball down her throat, you deserve to be penalized. Every professional gets bad calls; deal with it! From what I have seen, it was a correct call.

Beyonce is a class act all the way!
