Good Afternoon!
Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. I had another day off. Here's my workouts from yesterday and today:
I did Tone It Up yesterday and had a great workout:
1:08:01
Time in Zone: 44:38
Avg HR: 132; Max HR: 164; Cals. Burned: 428
This is the highest calorie burn I've had. Equivalent for me to an IMAX 3 workout! My heart rate got in the 90s! I upped my weights on almost everything:
1st reverse lunge series - did with 5# weights instead of no weights and did squats with front raise - 5#
Lat pullbacks - 8#; back rows and 1-arm rows - 10#
2-count delt rows, upright rows, curls, squat with hammer curls and front raise pullbacks - 8#
Plie squats with crossovers, chest pulls and chest press - 10#
kickbacks with squat - 8#
Lunge series - 8#
Front/side/rear delt raise - 8# (tough!)
rotator cuff/W press and narrow squats - 5#
Chest flies, chest press and tricep press - 10#
Tricep extensions with pelvic tucks- 8#
Leg work - 5# ankle weights (1st time with 5# - up 2#)
Also did 1/2 of blast 1 from IMAX 3.
Today was Shape It Up. I increased weights again:
Squat Series - 10# (up 2#); deadlifts - 12# (up 2#).
Midsection series - 2# except for isolations which were non-weighted.
Chest pullups and presses - 8# (up 1#) Chest pullups are always tough for me.
Upright rows - 8#; bent over rows - 10#
Midsection - 2# for jabs
Arnold press, military press and rear delt raise - 8# (didn't finish double time military presses)
Leg series - used 5# ankle weights (up 2#)
Bicep curls and kickbacks - 8#
Quad series - 5# ankle weights (up 2#)
Chest - Flies and Presses - started with 10s and went down to 8s (those half presses are killer!)
Pullovers - 8#
Didn't get to last arm series.
1:18:31
Time in zone: 36:50
Avg HR: 113; Max HR: 152; Cals burned: 366 - 10 less calories burned than last week. Hmm? Weird, since I used heavier weights. Maybe because I skipped a few reps here and there because of the heavier weights. Tone It Up is shorter but had much more of a calorie burn. I know my HR goes way down when it comes to the floor leg exercises.
Rhonda - Good job on Providence!
Deanie - Good job on doing Resolution with less rests!

I can't believe you're swinging 53#! I hope you don't get picked for jury duty. They certainly make things difficult. The rules are no different in NY. Haven't gotten picked down here yet.
Gayle - The Rumba workshop was fun! Small class, only 6 of us and everyone at around the same level so we were able to get a lot accomplished. Great job on the deadlifts!

Your jury duty case sounds like an action movie!
Jane - Congratulations on your results! I used to love swimming but it's been a long while since I've been able to. Do you do any butterfly or only crawl?
Melissa - Yes, we were talking about Eoin and no, I haven't been able to fit in yoga with Slim Series but I really do miss it. I'll probably do Slim Series for another 2-3 weeks and then hopefully get back to doing one practice a week.
I haven't done Bryan in a long time but he is good. Here's an excerpt from WebMD about swimmer's ear. Hope it helps:

Waves to everyone!
