Cathlete
Hi and good morning.

I wil do cardio today! My legs a super sore today:rolleyes:

Hi and welcome, Helene! Glad you joined our group. I am doing the 31/2 month STS rotation. A few month ago, I was doing the 6 month one, had to stop (I got to disc 13) due to surgery. Had a lot of sinus problems after surgery. I just want to get through STS once, before I go back for my second surgery. Glad you listen to your body and took a rest day yesterday. Have fun with disc 3 today. After my 3 month rotation, I am thinking I will do the 6 month rotation again. You will lose those last 15 pounds. I am glad you enjoy STS. I think it’s great.

Amelia, don’t you hate when your MP3 player stops in the middle of your workouts! I hate when that happens. I make sure the night before that my ipod is fully charged. WTG, on your cal burn. That’s awesome, girl. Let me know how you like the new DVD’s. How was lunch? Hope it was clean? LOL!

Lori, you crack me up! You are my hero, 14 miles is fantastic! I am sure; it’s not easy running with a small one, kudos to you. At least you get your runs in. I am not much of a party girl this days, to much bad foods. LOL!

Iris, how are you doing? What are your plans for today?

Trish, WOW on CC5 yesterday. Nice calorie burns.

Debbie, our Zumbo instructor is on gone for the next 4 weeks. Can’t wait until she comes back. About my weight, I can lift heavy as long as I go slow. Cathe is just going way to fast for me.

Gianna, disc 9 made my legs sore! LOL! I always have to pause my dvd player, like I said Cathe is going way to fast for me, my weight is to heavy for that speed. How do you like Tosca Reno's clean book? What is she saying?

Cookie, when are you going on vacation? What are your plans for today?

Ok, I will try to go for a run. My legs are super sore!

Have a great Saturday and workout, everyone! BBL!

Morning girls,

I ended up running outside:cool: I did CCV6, left out all the spints and hills:p:p In other words, I did a nice easy long run:eek: CCV6 got me going. I burned 560 cal. It is so hot outside, not sure how I made it?

Off to enjoy the day and weekend!

My best to all. BBL!

We have a busy day ahaid. Need to drive to Regensburg visting a friend. I think DH wants to go to a cookout today:eek:
I am so glad tomorrow is a rest day. I wil be back later!

Good Morning!!

Just a quick check in. I have to pick up DS soon, he slept at my inlaws last night so DH could go fishing today:rolleyes: Men...it is definitly a mans world!

Im going for a smaller run today and hoping to get some good UB work in as well. I wish I had time for all of the GS's but I don't see that happening with DS around.

Belinda** Not 14 miles:confused: 14 kms....LOL! I know Im crazy but Im not that crazy! hehe! Good job with your workout!

I probably won't be back anymore until I go to work tonight. Our coworker finished up yesterday and what a childish...you know what...she had everything half done or somethings NOT done, just so I would have to go in and finish it. She is 40 yrs old and seriously needs to grow up! Shes gone now anyway!

Lori:)

Morning

Belinda-Awesome run this morning! My lunch yesterday was ok,not completely clean. Today is a different story, ive already logged all my food on MFP and its super clean! Enjoy your cookout later and visit with your friend! How is the language learning going?

Oh...that Latin dance dvd is very fun and challenging! You guys would probably like it. Its called Dance with Lisa: 5 day Latin Dance system. There are five different latin dances that last about 17-25mins long. We being the die hard Catheites would probably do two at a time;). I did the warmup and about 5mins of the Cha Cha yesterday and iwas SWEATING...its very fast pace.
Here is a clip of it on collage:

Hey to everyone! Any plans this morning?

Well,Today is 60min cardio and i will throw in some core work. I got a yoga matt yesterday so im really anxious to try it out:eek:. I may do some core pilates after my cardio. I didn't get up early enought to take my run outside so my cardio will have to be indoors. Im thinking CCV6:D

I found a 5K that is VERY close by..only 8miles from the house. Its on sept.12 so ive got about a month to train for it. I plan on training outdoors atleast 3times a week.

Morning!
Helene, welcome! Glad you joined us.
Belinda, you are the party animal. Those weights yesterday are very impressive. Wonder what cardio you decide to do when your legs are already sore. Sounds like you like Zumba also. Why doesn't Collage carry their dvds anymore?
Lori, 14 kms is a lot! It definitely is a man's world. Anything I do has major ramifications on everyone, but if it is my husband, it make not a difference. Not fair.
Amelia, you dancing fool! I have two very bad left feet. Just pathetic, but perhaps in the privacy of my living room... How was your run today? You should do the 5K - you'll rock it and they are so much fun.
Trish, how often do you use cc? Your motivating me to dig them out and take them with me. When my ILs were alive, they lived in Staten Island, I passed the exit for Hillsdale every time. When I drive past this weekend on my way to the Outer Banks, I'll wave to you!
Deb, hope the stress has decreased. What are ou up to this weekend? Going to your ILs? Were you tired this week? I certainly was. Gonna wave to you also as I head past your region. I'm wearing "our" shirt now.
Iris, what's going on this weekend with you? Great weather this morning for a run.
Gianna, wake up down there!
Ruth, come on, check in. You'll get hooked.
Did a bosu wo this morning, and now my rear is sore! Have to go the my future DIL's bridal shower. Hope it goes well - I'm nervous about being a MIL! Plus, being 52 today. Leaving for vacay tomorrow and can not wait!!!! Walking/running on the beach and reading.
Cookie

ok girls...ive been on the computer for 30mins in my sweatie workout clothes to this will be short and sweet;)

First off..WELCOME Helene, Glad you joined us!:)

Cookie-LOL, my DH started singing'dancing queen' after i previewed that workout:rolleyes:. And believe me..i would not and i repeat would not dance to that dvd in public:confused::confused::eek:. Your going to be a FABULOUS MIL...why nervous?

Workout done. Did 4.2 miles on the treadmill. Burned 600 cals on the dot. I powerwalked a mile then ran a mile...did that twice. It was fun but i like doing it outside better;) I will do some core work tomorrow

have a good day:) i will try and BBL with some personals

Hi girls,

After the hospital, DH and I decited we wonna stay home, fine with me:p

Lori, have fun fishing. LOL! I am still impressed with your 14km! I had a co worker like yours years ago. Hope she didn’t leave with to much work.

Amelia, that is awesome you are on track with your eating. With Zumba you sweat your butt off. They are good sweat fests. Yeah, you found another race. That is great. Fantastic job on your run today.

Cookie, I always wanted to do a bosu wo, that stuff looks tough. I am sure you will have lots of fun at the bridal shower, don’t be nervous. You make a fabulous MIC! Look at the bride side you get to know your future DIL. I am sure she is just as nervous as you are. Happy birthday! It is your b-day today, right? Have fun at the beach tomorrow.

Hi to everyone that follows today!

Good morning girls,

I spent the morning having a new refrig delivered. Wouldn't you know it's too tall for the opening:eek: and I measured:rolleyes: Need to have someone shave off some of the molding. Also, packed my son up to go to the shore w/girlfriend and her family. My stress is related to a store I visit 2x's a month. I had an argument with one of the sales associates so I don't have to go back for 2 weeks:)

So, no workout yet but plan to do Disc 27 shoulder, tri's & bi's soon:).

Belinda - Is your sister still in the hospital? Great job with CC6.

Lori - I guess you were working when DH was at his sleepover:( it doesn't seem like a break then. You would do all Gym styles in one day?

Amelia - The latin dvd sounds interesting. I always think the girls on the dance shows look so good . . . but I guess they dance for 5 hours per day:eek:

Cookie - You tried to sneak in that it's your birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!. Have fun at you DIL's shower:)

Iris - I hope all went well with the MRI.

Trish - This has been a strange summer . . . another beautiful day:) I think you and Belinda are going to catch up to me w/STS:)

Gianna - It's funny I was looking at my Eat Clean book too. She has a lot of dairy in there and I don't eat that . . . I guess I could sub.

Helena - Welcome to our group:)

Have a great day everyone:)

Hi to everyone that follows today!

Hey, we decided to stay home too. We were suppose to take the kids to a local small water park but both of us woke up sooooooo tired. The kids weren't too disappointed, we got them kunfu panda to watch...all is well,LOL

'Evening!
Belinda and Amelia, guess the reason I'm nervous about being a MIL has a lot to do with that I think my DS is just not ready for the commitment of marriage. He has alot of growing up to do, and he has given my DH and I lots of grey hair and sleepless nights over the years. While he is very much in love, I feel the poor girl still does not seem to realize what a handful he can be. Plus, my MIL always seemed old, and I don't want to think of myself as getting there yet. The shower was nice, and her family was gracious to me, but I can't help thinking they're wondering why's our girl marrying that guy? Her mother is quite the gardener, and their property is just beautiful. Oh well, three weeks til our shower, and only four weeks to the wedding! Yikes!
Oh yeah, then there's the problem of clothes. See last summer the kids had a get together for the two sets of parents to meet. I selected a pair of flowered pants to wear with a blue sweater, and thought it was a nice outfit - you know rather respectable. Then I wore the same outfit about two weeks later at a conference. My boss says are you wearing your pajamas? No, these are pants. Really? Yes, their from Talbots. Well, you can imagine the only thing really going thru my mind is my son's future in-laws thinking his mother doesn't even get out of her pajamas to meet people! So, today was a pair of Ann Taylor Loft pants with a silk top. No one said anything about pajamas but then again perhaps I have to wait til the next time I wear it.
Belinda, do you have a bosu? I love mine. It really works my core good, and after today's wo my glutes and quads were burning. I'm trying to incorporate more balance and flexibility training.
Amelia, the Dancing Queen, I'm humming Abba's song and thinking of you. Perhaps you should have it as your sig line. Did your kids like Kung Fu Panda? I thought it was cute. What about Cars? Since I listen to the radio show Car Talk, I just had to see that movie, and I liked it. Actually, I had to buy it, since no one in my family wanted to see the kids' movie when it came out.
Deb, sorry you had a disagreement with that store worker. He/she must be a jerk. Can't imagine you having an agrument with someone. That same problem happened to us when we got our fridge. It wrecked havoc. We got the bad news that our whole roof needs to be replaced. My DH was hoping we could just try repairing, but that wouldn't work. I may never get to retire.
Well, ladies, I'm not sure I'll have Internet access next week. So take care, and be healthy. And thanks for the birthday wishes!
Cookie, who cannot, cannot, cannot wait to get to the beach!

Ooooh, I hope I am still on the right day to wish cookie a
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I see everybody is doing different types of workouts too and it's great to learn about them. I've always wondered about the Bosu..... The latin dance, I don't know, my basement isn't too sexy of a place!:p

I am trying to get on board with the clean eating thing so I'll be happy to have any insight you have. I see you are doing great with that Amelia. I am trying to keep track of what I eat online. I am using calorie count and I can see if I am indeed eating clean but only over the whole day. I was wondering if anyone has a good website to keep track of eating?

Time flew by today and my schedule completely changed (sick husband, visiting father in law and two small kids to entertain). I only got my workout started at 5pm (was thinking to do it at 7AM). But since I have to stay accountable to myself especially if I want to stay on track with STS I got it done. I might have overdone it too but it did feel great and I had a great sweat fest. Since I took yesterday off, I decided to do a bit of cardio first (4DS high intensity step) and then STS Disc 3 (2nd week of the 6 month rotation). I was predictably wiped at the end but I got through everything so I am jazzed.

I look forward to tomorrow. I might be motivated to run (more like jog for me) with the great runs everybody is getting in. But I will have to get an ab workout in as recommended in the STS rotation. I haven't been too good about those, I just don't really enjoy ab work. Would do me some good though, I think that is what is holding me back in some of my yoga poses.

A great evening to everybody! Now if only I could convince my 4 year old to go to bed, it is 10:20PM after all............

Helene

Hi Everyone,

Hhhmmm...it's officially 8/9 but I'm too lazy to start a new thread:: Today was a rest day for me. I had a good night out with girlfriends friday night and managed to eat relatively clean (salmon, bulgar salad, 1/3 of creme brulee) so I'm happy about that. Did a WI today...I'm down 1.4 pounds:) Let's see if I can stay on a roll. Tomorrow will be D16, shoulders, chest and tris. Looking forward to that.

Cookie - Happy Birthday :) Well, whether DS is ready for the commitment or not, I think you will make such a great and cool MIL. And, you're so funny, to boot (I'm still chuckling about your pajama Talbot's outfit...heehee). I'm actually NOT supposed to bring my DD to work (a conservative law firm), but I have a great Director who doesn't mind. I load her up with a couple of books, activities and Disney movies and she's good for the whole day:) Please don't wave on your way to SI...I think you might be waving to Hillside instead of Hillsdale. People often get the two towns confused but they are located in two different counties. I do CC about 3x a week. It's the only cardio that doesn't bother my knees,

Belinda - Great job on your CCV6 run today! Enjoy you rest day tomorrow;)

Helene - Hello there and welcome to the check-in;) How long have you been doing Cathe? I'm attempting STS for the second time. I injured my shoulder the first go round and ended up in physcial therapy for a month so I'm taking it much slower (and lighter) this time around. I started Meso 2 last week and LOVE it! My DOMs have lasted for 2 days or more:D Oh, the French food last night was so yummy. I had salmon with a light mustartd sauce (on the side). Scrumptious! Great job on D3 today;) Oh, this is the site that I used to use to track my cals http://caloriecount.about.com/ I downloaded an app to my iphone, Lose It, that I like better and, of course, I can make entries at any time.

Lori - Glad that your co-worker is no longer your co-worker:rolleyes: Hope you didn't get stuck doing too much of her work. Did you get your run in?

Deb - That's so funny about your fridge. We had the exact same issue...and we measured, too:eek: Yes, today was gorgeous...I think Monday will be upper 90s. I hope you're feeling less stressed today.

Amelia - You go girl! That dance wo looks tough. I watched the whole clip and all I kept thinking is that I would need therapy for my hips after doing all of that swiveling:eek: Great job on your run and nice calorie burn!

Gianna - I only "run" on the elliptical. My knees can't take the impact of running on the ground. I purchased my elliptical in March(?) because my knees were killing me. I started with Cardio Coach at the same time. I usually do CC 3x a week. Since starting I've gone from completing 5 miles during workouts to recently completing 8 miles. The best part is that I don't feel as though I'm going to collapse during the wo (which I used to). Definitely check it out, www.cardiocoach.com. As for "real" running, Lori is the check-in expert on that:p

Iris - Hope all is well with you:D

Signing off for now...will check in tomorrow.
