Thought I'd start a new thread. I am still a bit congested- seriously when will this end oy vay :mad: I had a great workout with Katie this morning. So much for me asking her to go easy on me :confused: The girl is evil. We did a version of smoking ladders. Basically a circuit that starts with cleaning two bells over head pressing followed immediately by snatches then by a lower body exercise, then a ab/core move then pushups,.... It felt good, but now my tushie is sore :eek: Oh and before we did all that we did 100 swings. I am feeling good swinging the 20 kg bell and now the 16 even feels light (for swings that is). I guess I'll have to buy one now :p

So what are you ladies up to this weekend??
 
Ok, I am askeered now. My legs are already a bit sore from the workout earlier :confused: I guess that's what happens when you take a 2 week sabbatical :eek:

Tomorrow, I must do some chinups come hell or high water :(
 
Didn't get a chance to check in yesterday. I did CCPP on the treadmill for the first time since my hip issue. I took it slow and got through the whole w/o with NO PAIN!:D It did get achy later on but nothing like before.

Later, we went to a surprise birthday party for my nephew/godchild. He is a captain in the Air Force and just returned from his 3rd tour in Iraq. It was so great to see him. I miss him so much and worry everytime he flies over there.

Catherine- :eek::eek::eek: is all I can say about your swinging a 20kg bell! I don't even have a 16kg yet.....oh I feel like such a lighweight:eek: Glad you had a great workout with Katie. How did your foot feel? Have fun with your chins today.
 
Looks like I am checking in with myself this weekend LOL. That's ok I am back in business and happy!! This morning I did 4ds LIS cardio, chinups and STS extended stretch. I really like that extended stretch. My foot did well and I am thrilled!! It's been 18 days since I last did chinups :eek: This morning I did 3 sets of 5 and 2 sets of 4. Not too shabby :p

I hope to see your smiling faces here soon ladies!!
 
Judi, glad to hear that your hip did ok with CCPP!! Also glad you got to see your nephew. I can only imagine how you feel when he is in Iraq :(

I feel the need to clarify. I did not do 100 swings with the 20kg bell. I did 100 swings total and probably about 10 of them were with the 20kg bell :p
 
The fun never ends! First real snow of the season and DH totals his car!:eek: Granted car was 13 years old, but still ran well, and we have no money to replace it right now.

Judi - Great job on CCPP! Glad your hip did okay.:D

Catherine - Nice job with the KBs. Surprise you did all that not feeling 100%:eek:

Okay I started a rotation from M&F Hers today called Cardioacceleration. Basically you do 10 minutes of cardio to start to get your HR up to 60-85% then during the 1 minute rests between sets you do cardio to maintain that level. My cardio rests were up there around 80-85%. And I can tell I haven't done a split in a long time because I was quivering by the end. Not use to hitting each body part so many times.:confused::confused:

Chest
Incline DB Press
12/10/10 - 35's
Dumbbell Flyes
15/15/15 - 20's
Pushups
12/10/10

Shoulders
Standing DB Press
10/10/10 - 20's
Lat Raise
12/12/12 - 12's
Bent-over Rear lat raise
18/18/18 - 10's
***wimped out a bit on shoulders, was feeling a lot from the chest work and just did not want to push it***

Triceps
Dumbbell Lying Ext
10/10/10 - 20's
Kickbacks
18/18/18 - 12's
***left tri was still sore from BC work on Friday***

Then you could opt to do 10 more minutes of cardio but I was toast at this point. So I ended with TamiLee's seated stretch. Workout was 1:11 and I burned 617 calories.:D

I am planning upper body this evening and might throw in some lower body if it acts right LOL!!
 
Linda- So sorry to hear about DH's accident. I hope he was OK. Bummer about the car...that just stinks. I know what you mean about the $$$. I have to pay $4500 for a new furnace that wasn't in the budget. That looks like a good workout you are doing.

I'm on my recovery week between Meso cycles so today I did Cardio Fusion and have yoga planned for tomorrow.

Catherine - The magazine says to do it for 6 to 8 weeks. I figure I will stick with it until I get bored (which will probably be 4 weeks)

Judi - worse part of it is our emergency cash fund was in bank stock which has crashed so it's worth nothing. I have no idea where we will get the money.

I think I must be crazy. I did Lauren Brooks kb w/o this evening. My legs were still sore from Saturday's w/o, so I can only imagine what tomorrow might be like :eek: I tacked on the extended stretch from sts. I really like that.
 
This morning I did the Intense NRG Mix from Amy's ASC 3. Workout was 1:05 and I burned 540 calories. Got some nice DOMS going from yesterday.
 
Today will actually be a rest day for me. I am going for another injection in the foot. Also it's my nephew's 21st b-day and we are going out to dinner. I have a bit of lower body and back doms from yesterday.

- my wrists are doing so much better. Sometimes they still go numb if I get them in certain positions but nothing like when I was fighting them every night all night long. And he ache that use to radiate back up into my shoulder is gone.:D I go back to the massage therapist on the 13th, so far I am so impressed with the results. The past few nights I haven't even worn my braces. Thanks for asking.

Another shot in the foot? How's it feeling? Enjoy your dinner out tonight.
 
Enjoyed YogaX this morning. I had to take down my pullup bar while they install the new furnace...good thing it is my recovery week.

Catherine- Hey, its my birthday today too! Happy Birthday to your nephew. #21 is a big deal....have fun!

Linda- Glad to hear your wrists are better.
