Anyone going on the RT? I think I will pass this year. I'm with Jerry, though. I will go for the Fri class and possibly Five Points on Sunday.

Today is D9 of STS - legs. I'm resigned to being sore tomorrow.

No road trip for me Phyllis . Just can't justify the cost .

I was on the couch all day yesterday with a hurting back so no workout, but I am hoping to give it a go today. Probably with light weights.

If I can do it, today is disc 3....legs.

Been awhile since I've posted on this thread - I've not been online this past week as I would like.

No RT for me either as Becky says I just can't justify the cost. :( Oh well .

Becky, be careful with the deadlifts on D3. You don't want to aggravate your back.

No w/o for me today. i did the VIPER yesterday!!! Even my hair hurts today!!

Becky- how are you feeling??? Did you hurt your back previously??? How in the world will you do STS legs??? I hope you feel better. I had back pain for years after breaking my hip and femur. It's awful when you want to do something but can't!!! Take it easy, don't overdo it!!!

Phyllis- I'm on the fence with the RT. I had a great time last year but I may give up my spot for someone who really wants to go. I see Cathe pretty often so I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

Vilma- great to see you. I hope you have a great day. i love Fridays. Although it looks like we are getting a cold blast this weekend. Hard to play outside with the kids when it's 20 degrees.

I may try Imax Extreme this weekend!!!! TRY, I said TRY!!!!

Hi Peeps!

No RT for me, not with the way things are in our economy right now. More power to those who can go, but I was actually thinking Cathe might not have one this year, based upon the expense of STS and the RT in one year. Oh well..

Today was cardio - I did Rob's Amazing Cardio Combos, all of the hi/lo and half of the step, didn't have time for the rest. I also did Amy's Ab section 1.

Hi again !

I did Legs (disc 3) with no weights and Connie, I NEVER do deadlifts anymore, so I subbed those.
It was a great workout and I added on Yoga abs (with a few modifications).

Ellie, yes, I have a hernitated disc in my low back and MAYBE that's what flares up, although my doctor thinks something else is going on . It flares up TOO OFTEN and I am left limping around for days or weeks.
He ordered an MRI for the next time it was acting up, but he's since left the practice, so I have to find another doctor and start all over. That's why I am procrastinating.
Anyway, I'm hoping working out actually stretched it out some and will aid in recovery because I spent all day yesterday on the heating pad and don't want to spend the weekend that way too !!

Becky, I'm with you, I have back issues that prevent me from deadlifts...did you happen to check out Cathe TV, where she shows a stability ball modification for the deadlift that I love doing, although my balance needs work as it's a new exercise for me.

I'd be more than a little surprised if the RT sells out as quickly as in years' past, due to the uncertain economy..I still think it will sell out, it may just take a little while longer for some folks to pull the trigger and go.

YES! I was so happy that Cathe showed that modification because I didn't want to skip the exercise all together.....so the roll outs are what I do as my modification .
I like deadlifts, just won't risk it again. They really seem to aggravate my back.

It's nice to have someone who's modifying along with me !:)

Yup, fellow modifier here.

First time I tried the roll outs, I lost control of the ball..since then, I've gotten a little better at them. Like you, I enjoyed deadlifts, I tried to ignore the discomfort at first, I said to myself this is only because it's a new exercise...nope.

Better to modify and stay in the game then to gamble and end up injured!
