Shopping question

I don't think they could get away with that?(selling knockoffs) esp since the supplier is the hobo company. I get alot of things cheaper on amazon. They have great deals. I've never bought a very pricey bag before though.
 
It looks awfully close. But like Calvillo said, I'm not sure they can get away with selling knockoffs.
 
Its the same bag. It also says list price is $354. Same bag. You'll notice the black one is more $$ as well. I've gotten some really good deals at amazon, and no knockoffs before. Although I'd be wary of third party sellers in the Amazon Marketplace for similar items. I'd buy it!

I think it's legit. I haven't purchased any handbags through Amazon, but I have bought some big-ticket electronic items and have been very impressed with their pricing. IA with Nan that I'd be leery of purchasing something like this it were from a third party seller.

Oops. It's all gone in the brown color. Too bad I didn't jump on it. The red is still available at that price. But I'm worried about it in the rain. I usually buy only microfiber bags. How does glazed leather do in the rain? I do like the red. I also don't like that it weighs 2 lbs. I wonder if microfiber is lighter?
 
Hi Nancy, I would jump on it if I were you. I've never gotten a fake from Amazon. I'm pretty sure they are the real deal. I'm always on the hunt on Amazon for some really good deals and I run into some more often than not. I got a pair of Citizen for Humanity Jeans for only $49.00 which I paid $150 for at Nordstroms only a month before and a pair of very cute purple mary jane Charles David Pumps for $30 that retails for $249. By the way its a super cute looking bag. You also don't want to get it wet glazed leather or not, the finish will get ruined. Microfiber is definitely more forgiving.
 
Thanks, Janie. I'm looking to replace my work case. When I buy a new work case, I wear it to work every day for about 4 years and then replace it. I definitely can't afford to have a case that doesn't stand up against rain! I guess this bag is out then.:(

Amazon stuff comes w/a guarantee. When you get it take it to L&T to compare. Usually you can tell by the way it sits (a high end bag will sit straight, a knockoff will kind of buckle & slouch). Also high end bags come w/a registration card w/a serial number that you can verify w/the designer. If it seems like a fake you could return it.

$354 for a PURSE??!! :eek:

I must be a hick, cuz the only way I could spend that much on a purse is if it came with $325 INSIDE IT! :p:p

That said...the red one is mighty purty...;)
 
ITA with spyrosmom and Running Teach - I have purchased name brands with no problems - but only from Amazon.com and not from others.

Have purchased things like BSN protein powder and used books with no problems, but I don't shop THAT much. :eek:
