<<<CHEETAHS>>>tuesday in the den!

Hi Cheetahs!!!

Just wanted to tell Wendy that I wasn't meaning to be harsh. :) You did a great job only having two cabs last night during bowling. I am in no way judging, as I have my fair share of them. Are you getting excited for the RT? I would love to meet Cathe. She seems so sweet and friendly. The RT is on my list of things to do.

Oh Gloria I was only joking with you! No hard feeling AT ALL! I was just bustin' chops my friend. :) Yes, I am getting excited for the RT. For most of the time after signing up I was actually DREADING it but now I am happy I am going and getting more excited by the day! :D

Off to the gym with me!

Hey there!

Lorie – Hope the meeting isn’t “too” bad!

Cathy – Hmmm….the nutrition software sound awfully complicated to me! I am going to have to “study up on it”! I definitely need help in that area!

Wendy – Shoot! That is not very nice of them charging you!!! I totally understand how you feel about the weights, distance training and time. I am really struggling trying to get in enough weights while adding long runs. I have still done it, so far, but I thinking it is wearing me out!

Carole – I used to always sub the Imax’s for Plyo too! I sure do miss my step workouts! I have been wanting to do the Imax’s for a long time :>( Enjoy your legwork and Imax!

Jackie – Oooh Dear! I hope the EXT is going to keep on working! I hope nothing is seriously wrong with it! Good job with SS yesterday and your EXT today!

Gloria – Someone told DH that is 48 degrees yesterday morning out there! But then, of course, it heats up during the day. I love cool mornings, so that will be great! Enjoy your run!!

We went to dinner last night with my friend that lost her brother. We were out late (late for us!), so I didn’t workout this morning. I may do something tonight, but I kind of doubt it!

My sister has moved in with me. Her DH moved to Wyoming for a new job. She will be staying here until December so that she can retire. Then she will go out. She will be retired at 49. I am really enjoying her staying with us!!

Talk to you guys a little later!

Linda

You hit the nail right on the head Linda. I am afraid of it wearing me out! That is why I don't want to do too much. If I overtrain it will only do me harm come race day! I think I have a reasonable plan worked out there. We'll see how I feel once I put it into motion next week!:)

Hey, everyone~ :)

Jackie :: that sounded like a nice, sweaty mish-mosh of iTrains this morning. So glad your EXT appears to be OK.

Wendy :: Hmm, OK. We could play by things by ear and squeeze in a short hang...I guess it all depends on what time we make it to the hotel, but if you all are not in a huge rush to catch the bus or be there exactly on time, we *could* stop at one of the eateries near the hotel for a CAB and/or bite to eat. Maybe Lorie would be interested, too. Then I could run you guys over to the gym afterward. It's an option. 'Course, I understand if everybody's anxious to get to the Four Seasons for the opening festivities...Rotation looks fine to me. Don't think you will overtrain with that arrangement. My personal preference would be to make Saturday the rest day and Sunday the long run, so at most, you are running no more than two days B2B and your legs are fresh for the long run. Esp. since you are doing FB weights on Friday evenings. JMHO. :)

Linda :: the software is not at all complicated. Did you view the tutorial? If you've ever used FitDay, Sparkpeople, or WW online, they're about equally user-friendly. How nice that your DSis is with you for awhile. REALLY nice that she can retire at 49!!

Hi Gloria! How was your run?

Cathy: You make an excellent point regarding the long run. I'll keep that in mind. I have other options for the weight class but the friday one "fits" my life the best right now. Actually I would really prefer to take the class in the morning but they get so danged crowded that you can barely move so it's not worth it to me. Anywho...I like your idea for Friday afternoon if all goes well and there is time. I am in no particular rush to get to the gym before Cathe would get there. I just didn't want to drive to the gym alone having not met a sole yet and walk into this crowd of strangers which is why I originally wanted to get there in time to catch the bus. If your plan is a go then I will have Di and Ang to hide behind so I'll be good!:p

Wendy :: you are too funny with the shyness! :) I know you will be surrounded by peeps eager to meet you (like last year!)...It seems kind of silly to force ALL employees to take the classes and be knowledgable about them. You work in the daycare--you're not selling memberships or running the front desk. If they're going to absolutely have a requirement, they should just ask the employees to attend a certain # of classes ONCE.

Hi!

Hi Friends-

I am not a very talkative Cheetah today. This morning I dropped in to catch up, but ran out of time to post. Just a busy time here.

Any how the road trip preparations sound like so much fun. I am sure you will all have a memorable trip.

Wendy- I like your new rotation. Lets hope you like it too overtime.

Lori- How strict are you being with this Gillian McKeith method of eating? I do not know if I care to adhere to the food combining recommendations. But, I am cutting back on coffee and have found a peppermint/tarragon tea that taste great iced or hot.

Yesterday was a Kettle Bell day:). The Iron core demo was my choice. I did once then i did each of the exercises for 2 minutes with a 1 minute break. Today I am not sore at all.

This morning was a 6 miler outside. Can you believe i have not run outside since June 16th? The iTreads and Cardio Coaches have lured me to the trreadmill. The heat:mad::mad::mad: was not my friend this morning. But I managed well enough.

Well it is time to prepare dinner for the clan. TaTa

Cathy: Actually, my problem isn't so much shyness as it is being a mute! People swear I don't talk until you feed me 2 beers. I have issues with making conversation. My mom can make conversation with anyone, anywhere at any time. Not I! My BF is extremely talkative and thank goodness or else we'd hang out in silence most of the time! LOL So I wonder if Cathe will have a steady supply of the CL's on hand next to the water? :p Oh boy! Don't get me started on the class obligation thing. LOL It's just so dumb. We've (meaning the girls in the daycare) said more then once that a much better idea would be to just require employees to work out at the gym in general. They can easily keep track of us coming in to work out via the swipe key tags we have to use to get in. I hate the fact that they make us take a class. If I wasn't an avid exerciser it would probably be good motivation for me but as it stands it's nothing but a nusance (sp?) that gives me headaches when I try to create a rotation for myself. :(

Judy: Good job on the 6 miler. So what's for dinner? It's okay that you aren't feeling talkative. It happens to all of us. I actually "talk" a heck of a lot more on here then I do in person. If all of the Cheetahs were face to face I am sure I'd be the silent one of the group. LOL

Judy :: good job pushing through 6 miles in the heat!

Wendy :: well, that's exactly why my proposed pre-RT plan will be perfect. We'll get 2 CL's in ya before the festivities, and you'll be good to go. :) :) :)

Hey Cheetahs!!

I thought I'd stop by quickly to say hi! I went for a bike ride with DH today (man is he SLLLOOOWWW!), so I added a HIIT run along the beach road. Then we went jet skiing I drove - great upper body workout!), then into the ocean for about 3 hours - the waves were ROUGH! Talk about a total body workout! Tonight my sister comes in to town. It'll be nice to see her after all this time. I'm exhausted. So I think I'll grab some coffee! Have a fab evening everyone!
 <--- me, right now!

Lorie: Hopefully all at work wasn't too bad. Glad you at least got to workout!

Cathy: Kayaking is GREAT! I do not know if you have rivers close, but it is a must do. :) Yes, the oldies can be goodies sometimes. LIC is a cool workout, I like it. I got the LETTER in the mail today. That is all I will say about that! ;)

Carole: Another Tamilee user... cool;)... I will never forget when I was working out to her in high school and on one of the videos she said " Stop thinking about what you are going to do after your workout and focus." I was like How did you know! LOL! I will invest in Imax 2 one of these days, but I already have cardio and weights. It came with the step I bought at Dunhams. Hope your workout was a good one!

Jackie: You kicked some serious butt with that workout! Nice! I am hoping there is nothing wrong with the EXT. I am liking the confidence too. Thanks! :)

Wendy: I figured you were joking, but needed to be clear for my own sanity!! ;) You will have a blast on the road trip! I am not much of a talker either. I prefer to listen first. It is a good quality. Have fun!!!!!

Linda: I remember the cold mornings for sure. Geez oh peets I am missing MT!! I remember taking Ellie out for walks and I always passed by this garage and this certain person and I would strike up a conversation every day. Nice guy! Enjoy your time!! How cool you have your sis around!!

Hi to all I missed!

Ran five miles on the tm and Dh and I took the dogs for a hike out in the woods. We are hanging out now so I will BBl! Good night.
