Remembering the victims of 9/11

I just wanted to take a moment to remember those who died 5 years ago today. May God be with them and their families. Also, God Bless our troops who are fighting everday for our country's freedom. I hope you will all take a moment to reflect on the anniversary of September 11th, 2001.

God Bless,
Liz

I've spent the day with those lost on my mind. What a terrible day for humanity. :(

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow - what a ride!’ — Peter Sage

Yes, very sad, very sad.

And let's also remember those who have fought or are fighting to try to keep this tragedy from occurring again.

It sure has touched more lives than those precious ones we lost 5 years ago . . .;(

Thank you Liz...what a beautiful post! SUch a sad time but thanks for such a moving thought. God bless them all!

It was a sad day yesterday but it is something we should never forget. I feel very sorry for the people who lost loved ones that day. I listened to Glen Beck( who I love and listen to regularly) and had tears in my eyes, then today on Sean Hannity a soldier come on and was talking about 9/11 and I got teary eyed again.

I will never forget where I was that day.

God Bless all the soldiers who fight everyday to keep us safe and God Bless all of thier families and friends for allowing them to do thier job to keep us safe. God Bless all the innocent people we have lost.

I wish I replied yesturday but I took a moment too. Just wish I saw this. Sorry!

I don't think that five years is any different than 4 years or 10 years. It's a number that, for some reason, seems traditionally significant to Americans. We should thank God EVERY DAY that we live in a country where freedom and peace can be appreciated.

The mid-east region has been struggling with violence for thousands of years. Religious extremism is nothing new for them. It's hard for us to imagine but it's a way of life for these people.

I propose that we not only think about our people that died and are still suffering because of the 9/11 tradgedy, but also remember the people in the middle east who suffer significant tradgedies almost every day because fate has chosen where they live.

>Yes, I agree. It certainly helps us to remember how fortunate we are to be in a free counrty. And Thank God for those who are fighting for our freedom.
